“Hey, y’all. My partner and I recently moved into a new house that we’re renting from, and I need help as to figure out how to use my oven. We’ve only been using the air fryer because I’m too scared to turn on the oven because it was completely covered in some sort of white stuff that smelled strongly like chemicals. I assume easy off, but I honestly have no idea. I took a Saturday to clean it as best as I can with warm soapy water, but obviously I wasn’t able to get absolutely everything off…. I”
“Bought this house as-is and the next task on my list is to degrease this disgusting oven range hood. I already have easy off with the yellow cap but would like to not have to work with that strong of a chemical if I don’t have to. Are there other good options to use? I’ve also never cleaned a range hood so any tips would be appreciated. submitted by /u/thewholeSHEbangg [link] [comments]”

“My flatmate used the oven and spilled some sauce. It looks like something difficult to clean and I am scared of those agressive chemical cleaners since my skin is kinda sensitive and in general I try to avoid it. Any tips on how to get rid of it without something that would dissolve your skin as well. 🙏🫶 submitted by /u/Smart_Lingonberry264 [link] [comments]”

“Looking for suggestions on how best to clean this cooking oil from my stained cedar siding. I’ve got a pretty good vent hood over my stove. The hood grates capture a surprising amount of cooking oil and I throw them in the dishwasher as needed. Some airborne oil makes it past and has accumulated on the exterior siding. This is probably 4 years worth of accumulation. submitted by /u/fuzznskins [link] [comments]”

“Im new to this shit and cannot get the god damn grease and oil off my hands easily, I used methods like dish soap and detergent but they just make my skin irritated What do yall do to get the contaminants off?? submitted by /u/xfy128gr [link] [comments]”
“Recently this post https://www.reddit.com/r/CleaningTips/s/fECH4QjwWu wow’ed me like many of us with the before and after pictures of using a razor blade to scrape off the stovetop gunk. Well, I tried it so you don’t have to. I was skeptical, but my 14 year old gas top has seen some real use. It’s gone through 4 teenagers cooking their own meals, and daily high usage. I’ve tried every single cleaning method imaginable on it, and it’s pretty beat up. My husband just wants to replace it (it also c”

“I am responsible for cleaning a beautiful kitchen (not my own) and I am deeply afraid of ruining things. I would greatly appreciate tips on how you would clean this/what products you’d recommend. Specific areas of concern are the areas around the burners, the metal grates over the burners, the griddle, and so much stainless steel, some of which appears to be quite scratched. Thank you in advance!! submitted by /u/stainedglasscemetary [link] [comments]”
“I got this ninja air fryer oven at a free market and am assuming the previous owner realized they never cleaned it :') I've hit it with dawn powerwash three times today and have made progress but I'm not sure if I should keep going- it's kind of impossible to not keep getting the powerwash on the heating elements and I'm worried it's going to end up damaged if I do manage to get it clean. “I moved into a new apartment and the stove is kinda nasty. I already tried Weiman to clean it but was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions to make it look cleaner! submitted by /u/Cool_Midnight_8635 [link] [comments]”
“Pictures are after I cleaned them with everything I could think of! These stove top grates had years (and years?) of oil built up, it must have been a deliberate treatment but it was pretty gross. I got them maybe ~80% clean through a combination of Zep degreaser, Dawn power wash, a plastic scraper, a stiff bristle brush, and a ton of elbow grease. Of course they almost look worse now because every corner is still obviously dirty but at least they’re not sticky to the touch all over! How do I ge”
“Not a clear picture, I know. My kitchen gets coated with grease from cooking. Yes, I have a hood and fan--but it's maintained by my ap. building, and hence not very good. Further from the range, I can scrape, wipe, or scrub it off; but it's really stubborn on the range and close around. If I scrape too hard (i.e., with a dough scraper) I begin to take the paint off the range. Soap does nothing, CIL almost nothing. I'm sure I'm not the first person with the problem of grease accum”

“Hi once again fellow cleaning pros I come for some advice. This big food stain does not want to come off of our oven. “This is AFTER cleaning it. I already sprayed dawn power wash + Lysol kitchen pro power degreaser and covered it with Saran Wrap and let it sit. I also used a scrub daddy with the pink stuff paste. I don’t want to take a scraper to it because you can see it already has scratches. My next ideas are either barkeepers friend or Zep industrial purple degreaser. I can’t scrub very long because I have wrist pain. submitted by /u/azaaleas [link] [comments]”

“I've read a few posts here suggesting to pop kitchen hood filters in the dishwasher. Mine definitely feels like metal but I can't figure if it's aluminium. Been washing it with dish soap so far and it doesn't do the best job. What should I do to get them cleaned well if using the dishwasher? submitted by /u/Good-Woodpecker6456 [link] [comments]”
“Just moved in to a new apartment and this is the state of the cooktop. Any tips for cleaning without damaging it?? (Or thoughts on whether this is more than normal wear and tear so I can argue for a replacement…) Thanks!! submitted by /u/zuzu9025 [link] [comments]”
“I find I can get the main stove top pretty clean with some Awesome and a scrub daddy. But I am unsure how to get rid of the grime around the burners to not mess them up. I also don't know how to clean the grates and the little fire cover things made from caste iron...? the Awesome doesn't seem to work as well and I really don't want to wreck it. I also have a scub daddy paste I use when it gets really greasy. I really don't want to damage anything. Tia submitted by /u”

“Hello, recently someone gave me a cleaning product to clean my oven trays and the metal part on top where you usually put the pots, since I couldn't remove the dirt with just soap or vinegar. They told me it's quite strong so I should ideally do it outside and with gloves, but I don't have a garden. Or that I could put it on top of papers and then throw those. I tried some of the product on the top parts and I was very happy with how fast it cleaned it but there is still some left an”
“It’s as the title says. We have a rental property where young men lived for 5 years and just didn’t clean. I have no idea how get did it but all the cabinet surfaces are sticky with what feels like old grease. Plantation blinds too. The cabinets are wood laminate. Any recommendations on how I tackle this? “I bought an old Victorian house and under the deck is a bunch of these tiles. Would these be valuable to someone? I want to clean out the area and put in gravel. If I posted these on Facebook for free would somebody maybe come and take them? The picture is hard to see but it’s a large amount and wondering if I should just take them to the dump or if they would be usable to somebody. submitted by /u/Villpicker [link] [comments]”
“I’ve been cleaning my shower. got the glass super clean now after removing layers of soap scum. wiped down the tiles but they need more of a polish. i feel like I’ve worked the hardest on the edges and can’t get them clean. I have taken of about 70% of the timescale using vinegar and dawn mixed together per google suggestion but the rest won’t come off any suggestions? also door seals I just removed them but they are gross. scrubbed them but it’s not changing. any suggestions. is there something”
“I am having a minor kitchen hygiene crisis and need some opinions Growing up my family always used the regular dish sponge to wipe down the countertops and stove after doing the dishes I never questioned it but the older I get the more it grosses me out It feels like the sponge has food residue, grease and who knows what else on it so are we just spreading that around the kitchen? A few weeks ago I stopped doing it Now I replace my dish sponge regularly and I use a separate microfiber cloth with”
