“Thank you! I can't wait to see it in the spring”
“And that kind of rain is good - it's the kind that allows me to keep working all summer. Hopefully next year we will get what we need. [re: I saved $1800 this year by not watering my lawn in the summer & it still turned green in October. I'll be doing the same again next year.]”
“Then think about moving if having a Kentucky blue grass lawn is that important to you. CO ain’t the place for that right now”
Several homeowners are considering selling their houses due to issues like Texas heat, utility company obstructions, and unwanted plant growth impacting the lawn's appearance. The need to maintain a green lawn is driving these decisions.

“It was kinda cozy and private. Hopefully get a fence back up soon. The deer and armadillos are stressing me out”

“My thoughts too. “Hey man, can I cut your grass and fix your windows in the front?” SLPT- pay your neighbor $200 to leave a for sale sign in his yard.”
“That's not sidewalk heat. Do you have a window reflecting sunlightonto the grass that follows that arc through the day?”
“Yeah with this heat and after 100 gallons of 41% glyo and then scalping it. I should have just scalped and let the heat do it's job.”
“I get it. We moved to a new state that has much lower property taxes than our previous state. Our new house has lots of garden beds with plants that required so much maintenance. The majority of the beds use rock for mulch and have weed barrier under it so it is extremely labor intensive to work in. Each year, I removed plants and replaced them with low maintenance plants. It is a totally different garden than what I would have planted 20 years ago. Have you considered removing it and putting in”
Yep. 300 dollar water bill and most of the lawn is brown in Kyle, TX.
“Same here. I took on the project last year of going through my whole lawn using a long screw driver and a shovel… I hit rock so many times my “weekend project” took about 3 months work of weekends for grueling hours to remove concrete, rebar, huge chunk of rocks, siding, black plastic bags, brick pieces… list goes on and on. Lawn looks incredible now so it was all worth it but man, these builders are nuts.”
