“We have a kitten with suspected Cerebellar Hypoplasia. He’s…. Messed up in a lot of ways. Came from outside with two typical littermates. One and a half pounds despite being 9 weeks. Some skeletal abnormalities in the spine and jaw, the vets are all very “wait and see” on him right now. While romping with littermates today, just on carpet, his arm appeared to be on backwards and he began to meow and meow. My girlfriend picked him up and her first instinct was to manipulate the arm carefully- she”
“my family recently adopted a kitten and last night my mom noticed she wasn’t eating. she didn’t eat anything in the morning today and my mom noticed her breaking was really heavy and sluggish. she brought her to any emergency vet and they told us there was a lot of fluid in her lungs. she died when they tried to put the catheter in. apparently she had a bacterial infection that did not develop overnight. we didn’t notice any symptoms prior to last night. my only theory is that she got spayed abo”
“I got two kittens, 2 weeks and 1 day ago. The owner said they were 8 weeks old, and 3 days after we got them, we gave them Advantage II flea medicine, and we didn’t notice anything major. But 2 days ago, 9 days after the application of the medication, the one kitten looked like he fell down, and he was not moving his legs at all, and his eyes rolled into the back of his head. I saw online that it might’ve been fading kitten syndrome because he hasn’t ate that much, so we gave him honey and sugar”
“She's not eating anything, and I fear if she doesn't eat or drink she might die because she's already skinny, what would I do to make her eat. submitted by /u/Ok_Nail_2084 [link] [comments]”
“Hello, I have a 2 week old kitten who was abandoned by the mom. I have been feeding it milk replacement and it has been fine up until today. He is refusing his milk and he has been cold to the touch but still breathing. Now he is doing something that looks like hiccuping but I am not sure what it is. Anytime it hiccups there is a popping like noise. I have been keeping him in a towel on a heating pad but what else can I do to make sure he survives? submitted by /u/Anxious_Promotion83”
“I tried my best to block stairs railing but today morning 550gr kitten (I don’t know exact age because I rescued him on a road) climbed over the railing and fell from the second floor onto the wooden stairs :( First seconds he was acting bad like his brain was damaged. I immidiately brought him to closest vet, he’s been meowing loud and breathing fast while in the box. At the vet’s, he behaved as usual; he even purred and asked to be picked up. They took an X-ray and found no injuries. Then they”

“Can someone help me make any sense of this and how to go about addressing it with the breeder? Our otherwise completely healthy MC male (8 months old) tragically passed away in less than a day. He was COMPLETELY fine and healthy the night before. We woke up in the morning and I found him sleeping on our sofa. Picked him up for cuddles and immediately noticed he was off. Lethargic, squinty eyes, and overall just looked sick. We just had to euthanize our last MC of ten years back at the beginning”
“Today, my almost 2 months old kitten fell and he's crying loudly and later on he just fell asleep. I also fed him, and he finished his food. He can also somehow walk now, but my brother picked him up because he was laying somewhere people in the house couldn't see him, and I think when my brother picked him up it was a little harsh? That he cried so much louder than the first time and couldn't rest easy. Now, I put him to my bed to rest, he is now sleeping and not crying anymore. Wha”
“7-Year-Old 13 lb. American shorthair Tabby. I went for a walk in emergency after my cat fell 7 feet off catio shelf. They took my cat back, felt foot - said ok, did x-ray ( didn't include foot) - said ok. Sent me on my way without diagnosis, prognosis, expectations, etc. Just keep giving gabapentin for pain. 2 days, no improvement. I'm not sure what to do, or what to expect. I asked for copies of the X-ray, which they also x-rayed right leg? The right leg was fine. She licks at and holds”
“I was not home so I’m unclear of exactly what happened. My two month old kitten had a ten foot ladder tip over on top of him. The ladder was laying on its side and while playing with my older cat, somehow got caught with his neck under the side when it tipped. My daughter heard him struggling and managed to lift the ladder but panicked and ending up dropping it back on the kitten under the ribs. My neighbor went over and lifted the ladder and said that he was motionless but breathing for about t”
