“I do music interviews and am now at about episode 50. I've had one guest (well a band of two people) about 2 months ago who were really rude during the interview. Everyone else has been really nice but these two were awful. So I decided to sit on it and it's been two months…”
“I just want know. Who is there and what is the topic. I hate these intros everybody uses. [re: Are podcast intros annoying?]”
“I love the raw and honest nature of your idea. I like it because you are one of us, not some celebrity I cannot honestly relate to...wishing you the best. Take the first step and record an episode! [re: I want to start my own podcast]”

“Hi podcasters. Anyone care to recommend any lesser-known science, tech, or history of science podcasts to recommend for inspiration or collaboration. Particularly those that are amateur productions. submitted by /u/bavarian_blunders [link] [comments]”
“Ooh, could I ask the name of your show? This sounds very interesting [re: What’s your Niche? And how did you build your audience?]”
“Yes I do a not so private 3-5 times a week Podcast, when I go out with my dog I just ramble 5-10 min. About my life and thinks that I want to talk about. Nothing really special, just me telling my story and my opinion about the world. And sometimes question from my listener. I have 2 Feeds, one with all 2.400+ episodes from the last 12 years 😅 and one with the last 100. And I can see, that when I have a good going episode, that there are sometimes people listen to the 100 Feed and sometimes eve”
“We a SF literary podcast that goes over short stories. None of it is “timely” so old episodes get listened to all the time. People bop on and out depending on which one they are interested in. Not sure how you would increase listens, a listener can see the whole backlog on the channel very easily. [re: Do Your Old Podcast Episodes Still Get Listens?]”

Everyone else has been really nice but these two were awful. So I decided to sit on it and it's been two months. I've got it in reserve just in case I can't get a guest one week but I am using a mindset of "screw them". [re: Withholding episode with guest]”
“I’ve had a podcast for the last 4+ years. It’s a horror comedy podcast and I really love doing it, it’s my perfect passion project and growing brain baby. Admittedly the first 3 seasons (which are only 10 episodes each) have cohosts that kinda fucked me over or decided to move away suddenly etc. I stayed hopeful though, hosted alone for a minute, until I found a new cohost. It’s been that way for the last 4 seasons now. I personally think my show is quite unique and offers a genre bending audio”
“Hey there. Check out the thread I just posted in r/podcastguests . If you're interested let me know. [re: Looking for guests for new podcast]”
“r/podcastguests and r/podcastguestexchange are two I know of. I see a lot of people finding success there - stranger things have definitely happened. You might find local Facebook groups that you could reach out to. Other than that, trying to meet one - or someone who knows one - is the only other thing I can think of [re: Finding guests on Reddit is hit and miss.]”
“I do a program presenting stories within the natural resources… if you can relate within that scope I would host a convo with you 💃 [re: I want to start my own podcast]”

“Hey! I’m the editor of the below podcasts and I’d like to share them for anyone who might be interested. Life Take Two with Mindy Baer is a podcast for the people whose life didn’t go as planned and have or had to restart something major. For the mid-lifers who aren’t ready to roll over and play dead. Real talk on what actually works when you hope it’s not the end and wish it could be the beginning. https://open.spotify.com/show/6oXU2CWJqphXHFDxjkwWYd?si=e43edfbe1a46417c I’m editing this one wit”
“New here, and reading all the comments, i clearly didn't knew about a whole separate world of podcasting [re: Podcasters who publish regularly, what actually happens between “episode is finished” and “episode is live”?]”
“I will check that out! And the candidness is something I strive for in documentary work. I love the story element [re: Looking for examples of ambient/spatial/on-location podcast interviews]”
I worked at Libsyn for 18+ years and hosted there for 20+ but now I am hosting and working at Captivate. I would be more than happy to look at your show…
“Hi everyone, After years in the corporate pipeline, my co-host (and good friend) and I decided to step away and pursue a dream: building a podcast centered entirely around the power of ordinary human storytelling. We feel like the current podcast landscape is saturated with influencers, celebrities, and public figures who have a polished image to protect. Somewhere along the way, we lost the raw authenticity and real human connection that drew us to social media in the first place. We believe or”
“I’m in this camp, but my podcast is hyper local, designed to build and nurture community in a smallish town where reputation means everything and word gets around. If I really cared, I’d try to bring the guest around to my way of thinking, but if they insisted, they get what they want. [re: Should podcast guests be able to veto a clip that represents them fairly?]”
“I'm a history enthusiast (a passion passed down from my dad), and professionally I lead a team of engineers building apps and LLM solutions. I love podcasts, but niche topics are hard to find, and when I get curious halfway through an episode, the hosts just carry on. That's what triggered the idea and I decided to combine my personal and professional passions into Historai. How it works: Type anything: "the fall of Constantinople", "Ada Lovelace", "the Great Emu”

“Random question but figured it was worth the ask, I run a podcast focused on legal software/consulting....any interest in coming on the show to talk about this in more depth? [re: Some advice for every startup that isn't Harvey or Legora]”
“at 3 episodes I'd make the next 10 titles about specific object shows or episodes fans already search for. way easier to discover than a generic show title. [re: How to create an audio only podcast.]”
“Strong opening. Don’t wait for someone to have you on. Your show is your own story, so just start recording solo, one story per episode. Guest spots come easier once people can hear you. [re: I want to start my own podcast]”

“Hello my name is Jared, i am based out of brooklyn new york, my love for podcasting developed around 2019 when i started working as truck driver, i would listen to joe rogan ALOT , these days i really only find myself listening to Theo Von and Tim dillion, along with others like Shawn Ryan and a few others. In 2024 i invested in podcasting equpiments and some cameras and since then have only recorded about 7 episodes, ive been very much on and off again but i am looking to start recording again”

“I love it. You are opening up in such a vulnerable way and that is so hard to do. But it’s the honesty as well that will make it wonderful [re: I want to start my own podcast]”
“Five episodes recorded to date - the best part for me personally (I'm the host) is actually getting to know the guest, and bonding with them... Conversations were so good one recording went up to 2h 40 minutes [re: What do you like most about running a podcast?]”

“Hello, I’m Jay I want to start my own podcast just like everyone else. I know I just have to do it and start somewhere just looking for someone to take a chance and have me on theirs to build my confidence or break me. I want to call it the best of my worst Here’s my opening I’m Jay. A former drunk. A full-time f*ck-up turned part-time truth-teller. I’ve lied. I’ve cheated. I’ve laughed in the faces of people who loved me — then cried alone when they finally left. I burned bridges like it was a”
“thats a fantastic idea for new podcasters to learn from a seasoned pro [re: Thinking of starting a horror story podcast, never done anything like this!]”
“Me too, please! [re: My plan for launching a history podcast, any input is welcome]”
“Your biggest advantage is that you already have 3k people who care about history.. I’d use that audience to test episode topics before launch, and maybe make a short bonus episode answering questions from the community. Also, don’t just make generic clips.. a 30-second historical fact that makes someone go wait, WHAT? could pull people in way better than a standard podcast teaser. Exchange ads with smaller history shows sounds worth trying too,.. especially if their audiences overlap with yours.”
“People think better when reading & writing compared to when listening & speaking. It makes sense then to have interviews over chat software like Discord DMs, & then to copypaste these interviews into places like Medium, Substack, & Wordpress for people to read & enjoy.”
“I’m interested… not in Canada thought and full disclosure I already have a history pod which does well enough, but I could contribute into something like this . DM if interested [re: A team for making a podcast]”
“I'm in Canada and interested. I can't seem to DM you though. [re: A team for making a podcast]”
“Yeah so it's mostly volunteering, but if we make money, it will be split. It's definitely doable, but the current members are into gathering the content and speaking in the podcast so we need a couple of more people to help us with logistics and tech. [re: A team for making a podcast]”
“oh sorry I did not mean that I want one person who does all of that work, I meant that I want one person for each of those roles. [re: A team for making a podcast]”
“I am interested to make a podcast where we professionally talk about different subjects. If you are in Canada, that's great! I am interested in building a team where we have people who are good with audio recording, videography, video editing, the use of ai, writing scripts, and digital arts. You don't have to know all of that, even if you do one of those things, that's great! This podcast is intended to talk about three categories: History Philosophy & Psychology Education You d”
“I am preparing the first few episodes of a podcast called “Sensational Saoirse.” I love erudite film criticism, one of my favorite novels ever is Ian McEwans atonement, and I also like laughing about 2010s misfired YA fantasy films. Ergo, I have planned this podcast in which I and one or two other hosts go through each Saoirse Ronan film and discuss both her performance and whether she deserved award attention and the film itself, whether it succeeds in its genre, etc. Ronan made a lot of the mos”
“send me a link when its up, i love a good historu pod [re: My plan for launching a history podcast, any input is welcome]”
“Thanks for the heads up! I'll look into it. [re: My plan for launching a history podcast, any input is welcome]”
“Hello, I'm a former history teacher (also have a master's degree in history) and I'm a fan of The Rest is History and other history podcasts. I'm also a game developer focusing on historical games (I mention this because I have an existing audience, which will come into play in the plan below). So I decided to make a history podcast because as you can see I really love history. I've recorded my first 1-hour long episode and I'm currently working on the second one. So my p”

“Hey, that is what my podcast is about! I’m Lebaff and host Words with Wordsmiths. I interview independent authors about their books, writing and experiences. I only have two episodes live. The third will drop this coming week and I have more being edited. I’ll be opening up interviews in a few weeks and plan to release a minimum of one episode a week. The show is on most platforms like Apple, Spotify and YouTube. It’s audio only. https://rss.com/podcasts/words-with-wordsmiths Please let me know”
“Saludos, es mi primer publicación y espero que sean varias de ahora en adelante. Seré breve, estoy por iniciar un podcast(todavía no tengo ni siquiera el nombre) y estoy buscando sus mejores anécdotas, las que les resulten más sorprendentes, les hayan cambiado la vida; ya sea por desamores, trabajos, sustos o robos, también sobre información y administración financiera y super importante también sobre salud y fitness. Próximamente estaré subiendo los capítulos a spoty y si lo piden, también en a”
