“Bought a house this year and this lovely river is a 10 minute walk away. I walk te dog down there everyday. After not doing much painting in about a year I decided to capture a sunset overlooking the river. Thanks for looking! 😊 submitted by /u/kr_custom_works [link] [comments]”
“A National Park nearby hosted an event called “Art in the Park” where they had artists of all kinds come teach people to paint in a workshop setting! The first photo is done in oil paint, and the second is done with acrylic. I have a little experience with painting, but not anything beyond the paint and sip classes or workshops like said event. Sitting down and committing myself to create these left me itching to learn more and paint on a regular basis! Anybody have any good places to start? Or”

“I’ve just finished this acrylic painting and wanted to share it! This is the first time I have painted in 20 years🤍 The idea is that you’re looking straight down into a pond at night , with the moon reflected in the dark water behind the koi. I added lily pads and lilies floating on the surface , with the bright orange/yellow fish standing out against the deep blues and greens. The background is actually a distressed map , and I deliberately left parts of it showing through the paint to give th”
“Painting inspired by a place near the Cirque de Navacelles in France where I often go for hiking. "The weather was perfect during this day, I wanted to capture this graceful silhouette immersed in the warm tones of the enchanting beauty of autumn with this backlight filtering through the leaves." “After a long, stressful week, I finally found some time to paint. This is a small acrylic landscape inspired by the peaceful feeling of being surrounded by nature. I wanted to capture the mountains, lake, sunset glow, and those little details that make a landscape feel alive. It’s definitely not perfect, but I’m really happy with how it turned out. Painting has become my little escape lately. It helps me slow down, be present, and enjoy the moment. What do you think? I’d love to hear your though”
“I'm inspired by a lot of tonalism painters and like to make the light as much a subject in my work as the objects themselves. This was a result of some photos I took on a late day walk, though I did turn this road into an unpaved road in contrast to the actual photo. “Painting inspired by a bike ride I took after a day of work in spring. The storm had just passed, and the clouds were beautiful. “The storm had just passed, and the sky had reclaimed its blue hues. A few pink flamingos emerged, flying toward the light, while the sky and the clouds seemed to drift with them.” Acrylic on linen canvas - 55x33 cm submitted by /u/MaelOllivier-Henry [link] [comments]”
