“Does anyone else have intense milestone anxiety? I get so panicked thinking that my son won’t meet his 12 month milestones, especially gestures. He turns 11 months next week and is kind of intermittent with waving and clapping, but does do it. I’m just so afraid he’s going to…”

“Hello! I am a FTM to the sweetest and silliest little boy but i am starting to worry because he still isn’t talking. He was born full term and met all of his baby milestones early and started waking 10 days after his first birthday (on my birthday YAY!!). He loves to make everyone laugh, understands most of what we say (come here, give that to me, he’ll go straight to the bathroom when i tell him it’s bath time, knows where is feet are, belly button, and nose are, etc), makes great eye contact a”
“My son is almost 15 months in about a week. Thins he does do: walks, says about 5-7 words depending on the day, shows us things and brings us toys he is interested in. He plays well with other kids, makes eye contacts response to his name etc. Things he does not do: Not consistently waving still. He learned how to at 10 months but still doesn’t do it out in public and honestly he will go a week without doing it at all when I ask. He does not consistently clap either. He will bang his hands on a”
“My son just turned 1 and for the past 3–4 days he’s suddenly been completely different with food and sleep. He’s normally a GREAT eater, but now he barely eats solids. He puts food in his mouth, chews a little and spits it back out — even things he loves like blueberries. He’s also drinking less, although he still has 3–4 bottles of around 100ml and plenty of wet diapers. He’s also suddenly refusing naps and gets insanely overtired. We basically have to drive him around to get him to sleep. Even”
“My baby just turned 1 year a couple of weeks ago. He’s hit all of his milestones up until the ones listed under 12 months for the CDC’s Milestones. He doesn’t wave Bye-Bye, doesn’t play pat-a-cake and doesn’t intentionally call my husband and I Mama or Dada. I’m trying not to panic, but I am. He’s meeting all of the others except for those 3. He does babble “mamamamama, gagagaga, babababaa, dada dadadadadada” alllll day every day but he doesn’t say anything that’s an actual word. I have 2 friend”
“Just wondering if anyone is in the same boat as us. Our little boy just turned 15 months and does the following: Walking well Claps and does open shut them when I ask and on his own Grabs his books and flips through pages on his own or sits and pays attention when I read to him Plays peekaboo behind blankets and curtains Leans forward to give a kiss when asked (if he feels like it) Gives me his hand when I ask for it to walk Knows other commands like come here, let’s go, drink, let’s eat Startin”
“Hi everyone, My daughter just had her 9-month checkup on Friday, which was coincidentally also her 9-month bday. She is hitting, even exceeding some milestones, such as gross motor skills, fine motor skills, pulling her self and things like that. Additionally, she is also a generally a very happy baby (smiles all the time), makes great eye contact and giggles (albeit not much). One of the other areas she is slightly behind on is “communication”. She babbles, but not much, and while she has had s”

“Our LO is 14 months with 6 teeth total and teethings usually just a couple of days of fussiness, with the occasional waking up at night. This past week we've felt the molars gums more tender, like if they were about to erupt, and a front teeth (lateral incisor or canine no really sure which one is it) just started to show this week. Needless to say night sleep has been HORRIBLE, he used to sleep from 8/9pm to 6-7am, uninterruped, now its waking up every ~2 hours SCREAMING, sometimes he just”
“My daughter is 2 years 9 months old and I’m looking for some advice from parents who have been through something similar. She has around 50 spoken words and can ask for things she wants (milk, food, etc.), but she isn’t really using phrases or having conversations. Most of her speech is single words. The things that reassure me are that she seems to understand us well. She follows simple instructions, responds consistently to her name, points and gestures, makes good eye contact, enjoys pretend”
“So my daughter is almost 8 months old. Her first tooth popped at 5 months and now she has three teeth total. We’ve been doing solids for about two months now. As it’s been going, she wakes up and I nurse her, then 30-60 minutes later give her breakfast. I brush her teeth right after breakfast. Then she might have a midday snack, but I haven’t given her a full lunch yet in fear she will nurse even less (she LOVES real food lol). But later in the day after I nurse her a couple times throughout the”
“I’m a FTM and my 4 week old was born 4 weeks early so they last few weeks have been basic and also the dr said my baby developmentally will be different because he was early so his milestones may be 4 weeks ish off (aka sleep regression could happen at 5 months instead of 4). I feel very overwhelmed by instagram and facebook because I feel like so much baby algo content is actually just for clicks and not always real. But my question is how do you know what to do as your baby gets older and you’”
“I am at my wits end end. My 15 month old has always been a bit of a biter, especially to me (mom). He’s currently cutting 4 molars, and the biting has intensified. He chomps down out of nowhere, HARD. I try to stop him before it happens and neutrally say “no biting, it hurts” but he is quick. He has also started biting my nipples during feeding. I am covered in teeth shaped bruises and riddled with anxiety. Any tips, experiences, etc is greatly appreciated. submitted by /u/lily_pad_2”
“Hi! FTM of a 7 month old baby girl. Wondering what everyone's experience with teething has been and have some questions if anyone can help. She got two teeth around 6 months (curious at what age it started for everyone?) and now it looks like another set is coming in. However we have an interesting hellish cycle. She starts by wanting to chew on everything (of course), then being very warm - but not enough for a fever. She drools a lot and gags on the drool so much that she sometimes vomits.”
“My baby is 9 months old now, and now that his wake windows are getting longer, I genuinely don’t know what to do with him all day. I’m so sleep deprived that I barely go out with him. We go on walks here and there, but when we’re at home he gets bored of his toys so quickly. All he wants to do is follow me around, but if I let him out of the playpen he ends up hurting himself trying to climb on everything. I’ve bought one of those little backpack head protectors and a head guard, but he just tak”
“FTM and baby is 6.5 months old and an angel! A great sleeper, independent, funny, always happy. Of course all we hear about are the teething horror stories and I know they’re out there. When I was talking to my pediatrician about teething (we haven’t cut teeth yet but showing signs of starting soon), she said that the fussiness/pain for most babies rarely requires more than a day or 2 of Tylenol. Since we’ve been so programmed to think teething is a nightmare, this caught me off guard. Does anyo”

He will grab my face (digging his tiny fingernails into my cheeks!!) and bite down onto my chin or cheek with his gums. Apart from the nails, it doesn’t hurt too much yet but I am dreading the day he gets teeth… Should I stop him now before it becomes a habit? How do I stop him? I can’t even imagine telling this sweet angel of mine off”
“FTM. I have a 12 month old daughter. Shes meeting all milestones and is a happy girl. I’m looking for advice and suggestions on what to do to help nurture her brain. I work part time so I get to be with her during the day 4 days a week but struggling on activities on what to do. Currently we go on walks to the park, swim class, go to a store and play at home. Our play at home is independent play or I play with her, we also read a lot . But what are some activities I can do beside just engaging i”
“Our 15 month old has 8 fully erupted teeth and 2 partially erupted top molars. The molars started a couple of weeks ago. He had a fever and was so irritable and unlike himself I ended up taking him to the doctor to rule out an illness. He was better after a couple days. This Monday at daycare pickup, they let me know he was upset, unlike himself, and had a slightly elevated temp. He woke up Tuesday with a 101 degree fever, super irritable, and drooling more than I’ve ever seen. Doctor again rule”
“I know no one can tell me what's going to happen, but I'd really love to hear from parents who have been in a similar situation. My daughter just turned one and was recently evaluated through Early Intervention. She qualified for services due to about a 30% expressive speech delay, but she scored on track or ahead in every other developmental domain. They also told me she has very strong intent to communicate and is actually a great communicator - she points, gestures, brings us things,”
