“Is there a way to clean those two brown patches on our black marble coffee table? I’m not sure what exactly caused them though. I’ve tried soda bicarbonate paste for 24 hours. submitted by /u/Logical_Mobile_3040 [link] [comments]”
“What’s the best advice for cleaning some mold spots off the grout on the shower tiles? I’ve tried hydrogen peroxide mixed with baking soda and I’ve also tried barkeepers, but neither worked. It’s not everywhere, just in some spots. I definitely would like to get it out! submitted by /u/Virtual-Student8099 [link] [comments]”
“Hi! First time posting here. I have a granite countertop that used to house my roommate’s soap dispenser. I never noticed before, but she just moved out and there’s a huge black stain on the granite countertop that hasn’t gone away in the last day. Anything I can do??? “I accidentally got a huge turmeric stain on my white marble countertop. Was freaking out at first bc it was not budging but then followed a tip I found on YouTube. I mixed Oxiclean with water and let it sit in the stain for a few hours. Sooner than later it was completely gone!!! I followed this YT video: https://youtu.be/uQjbiFXDZEM?si=fqq0S7Y1oDRf7BoN submitted by /u/cestangie [link] [comments]”
“Hello, I have a mold spot coming from a seem in my shower. The blue circle has silicon “blocking it” the red and on does not. Should there be silicon on the entire seem? Do I need to take the shower out to get behind it and see what’s going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! submitted by /u/steav12359 [link] [comments]”
“This stain suddenly appeared in our tub! I have no idea what it is. Feels smooth and does not come off with cleaner (tried Fantastic with scrubby brush) or when I scrape my fingernail across it. Anyone know what caused it and how to remove? submitted by /u/kellgurl13 [link] [comments]”
“Hi! Looking for suggestions on how to clean this stubborn pink stain off my bathroom floor tiles. It's not pink mold as I've tried scrubbing it with Vim (comes off fairly easily in the shower when I scrub it). I'm not certain, but I think it may be some sort of makeup or bath product that my wife uses as the tiles under our shower mat are completely clean. Some spots look like drips which leads me to think that way as well. We've also had a leak where shower water had seeped unde”
“Heys guys first time poster. I would really appreciate if someone could help me. I ran into this problem with these rust stains on both Italian ceramic tiles and also on stucco. I used F9 barc on both already but it didn’t do anything. The owner said that the house was very recently built so it’s been around 4 months since it could have happened. I was about to buy Mar Gel Oxi Kit because I heard it works but I thought I would ask first. Does anyone have any idea what I can do? Any help is appre”
“I have been using a ceramic hand soap dispenser for about 9-10 months and there's now a dark ring underneath where the dispenser normally is. The underside of the dispenser isn't super smooth, so I'm guessing perhaps it scratched the surface a little bit? But it's also still glossy in most areas as well. So far, I've tried: A combination of baking soda and dish soap for 10 minutes and then wiping it away A paper towel soaked in vinegar for 10 minutes What all can I do that wi”
“I have this stain on my bathroom countertop, which is either marble or a convincing manufactured imitation. I used Iron-Out (fluorosilicic and oxalic acids) and then rinsed it and tried concentrated vinegar (acetic acid). In both instances, I let the acid sit for a few minutes before scrubbing with an abrasive sponge. I don’t go too heavy as I don’t want to damage the marble, but it seems like I got everything I could off of the surface and that the rust has soaked in. Any ideas for how to get t”
“Photos included for dirty and “cleaned” tile floor. Please help me get this floor to as clean as possible before I reseal it. I bought a house 7 years ago. We have a custom bathroom with mosaic marble tiles on the shower floor. I know marble in a shower is a bad idea, but I am working with what I got. Eventually I will redo this bathroom, but that is a few years out. I have tried cleaning this shower with stone safe cleaners, but they never seem to make a dent in the tile surface. I suspect that”

“I clean the bathroom once every week (sometimes two weeks) using PineSol original and I can’t get rid of this. I tried using a disinfectant and soaking it for 10 minutes to no avail. “The honeycomb tiles on my shower floor are clean, except for this corner, where they have this border of what looks like rust. They did not look like this when they were installed years ago. I have tried scrubbing with diluted vinegar. I have tried scrubbing with Bon Ami. I have tried scrubbing with Barkeeper’s Friend. Nothing works. Any idea what this is, what causes it, and how I can get rid of it? submitted by /u/BayGelldawg [link] [comments]”

“I’m guessing this stone countertop is just really porous or something, or is the stained glass soap dispenser just crappy and leaching pigment…?! What would be a way to remove, and what would be a safe option for a dispenser that won’t stain the counter? submitted by /u/nen_x [link] [comments]”

“I accidentally set my robot vacuum cleaner to a too-wet mop setting two days ago, and today a massive red streak suddenly appeared in one of the marble tiles in the living room floor. It appears to be inside the marble instead of on top of it. I’m not sure if it’s rust or a stain (my family said they did not spill anything). How do I clean this? Thank you! submitted by /u/harrohamtaro [link] [comments]”
“Please help me identify if this is rust or something else? Products like all surface cleaners and Lysol don't work. I think Iron Out worked a bit but I'm not sure. Also, how do I avoid this coming back in the future? submitted by /u/Visible-Finger503 [link] [comments]”

“We have a walk-in shower with black tile floor and black grout. The black grout shows this white/gray residue like stain in one corner. When wet, it generally disappears but as soon as it dries it looks like this. I’ve tried Zep Grout Cleaner, a steamer (with and without wiping it down after steaming and even tried steamer then shopvac up behind myself), dawn powerwash, dawn powerwash with baking soda powder. Hand scrubbing. Scrubbing with a brush attachment to a drill. Most cleaners caution aga”
“It's a wet room bathroom floor and I just moved in. Have already tried: normal cleaner, vinyl/floor cleaner, vinegar and a more intensive bathroom cleaner with phosphoric acid, citric acid, and nonionic surfactants. Everything is saying not to use anything with bleach but I'd rather have the floor a bit bleached than brown/yellow... I also own it so as long as whatever it is doesn't eat through the floor and destroy the water tightness, feels like it's hard to make it worse. ”
“i think this is a quartz sink. i've tried pretty much everything, from bleach to a hydrogen peroxide/baking soda mixture. this is not a makeup stain or anything i introduced, although i don't remember seeing it when i moved in. moving out soon–what do i do?? submitted by /u/krimpled [link] [comments]”

“Had to repost because I forgot the photo!! 😬 I used ZEP foaming shower, tub and tile cleaner on our shower and it did this. I tried to scrub it thinking it was just leftover residue but it’s not that. I don’t think the tile was finished or sealed and that’s why it happened. The stains go away when the tile gets wet, but every time it dries I’m reminded that I screwed up and it bothers me 😬 Any help appreciated! submitted by /u/halfpintvixyn [link] [comments]”

“I have these pink spots developed on my Carrera marble tile showering floor. I can’t figure out if it’s pink mould or rust. I’ve tried a baking soda hydrogen peroxide dish soap poultice and it did absolutely nothing. If I t is rust how am I supposed to remove it when all rust removers are high acid which will damage the marble ? I’m literally stuck. Is my only viable option to replace it ? Why have these spots developed in the first place ? Is it due to leaky shower faucet ? Please help su”
“After using silicone items for anything involving water for a while, these weird black stains start appearing on them. I usually just throw them away when this happens, but I have no way of getting a replacement for this particular piece, so I need to figure out how to clean it. “We borrowed this saw from my neighbor yesterday as a prop for a short film, got it back from production covered in fake vomit made out of whole wheat flour/milk/water. We can’t get these last stains out. We tried a paste of baking soda and water for 30 minutes, we tried a paste of baking soda and vinegar for a little shorter, we tried only vinegar but that caused it to rust (which luckily came off). I’m absolutely desperate and don’t want to have to buy a new saw. The stains seem to be in the me”

“The green side of a sponge will work but not a scrub daddy, you need an abrasive to polish it. Green sponge only, not blue as they are scratch free and will not do the job.”
“Thanks. Any alternatives for the green scotch brite pad? Will a scrub daddy or the green bottom of a sponge do?”
“You can use a green scotch brite pad and polish it with a little water using strait strokes along the length of the blade. Don’t press too hard with your fingers or it will streak, try to use even pressure. You’ll be giving it a satin finish”
“You would need to polish it to make the surface uniform again as you have chemically treated the surface. I don’t think it’s worth it as long as it’s not actively rusting. It’s not a museum piece, just a simple saw, right?”
“It looks rust which got spread from the fittings. It has sipped into marble n now it may not look how it was before. Same thing goes to quartz too. If it socked the color then it won’t go. Just for luck you can try polishing and check if it’s on surface only then chances are there it will go else you have to live with this.”
