“Looking for a replacement shower head for this vintage Milwaukee Faucets "Adjusto" adjustable height shower rail/slide bar assembly. It’s got some threads I’ve never seen before and I’ve had no luck using the internet so I figured I’d go old school and ask the good people of Reddit. “Originally posted in ask a plumber. I am working on a basement bathroom that was stubbed in by the builder long ago. I have a three-piece Kohler surround and need to jog the drain over to the shower drain stub by about 6 in. There is already a trap in the floor. You can see it to the right of the stub. I will replace the vertical iron with PVC. Moving the trap is not an option. I need to work with what I've got. Any ideas on how to jog this over without doing anything with the floor and exis”

“Bungalow built in the 50s. What do you recommend replacing and with what? Not installing a bathtub, going with a shower pan. Also, the toilet flange sat 1-1/4 inch over the old 5/8 inch plywood subfloor. Putting down new 3/4 plywood the flange will still be too high. Should I cut off the flange before the subfloor goes down and put on a new flange or after? Also, should I replace the old water supply shutoffs and copper with new valves and PEX or stay with copper? Will appreciate any info.”

“Any ideas as to what kind of fitting or coupling would be appropriate here? That black box goes flush against the finished tile surface, and the bottom of it is the connection for the shower handheld. Theres another connection out the bottom of the valve body for this. Best idea I could come up with is pex straight down -> 90° coupling -> short pex piece -> coupling with a threaded male end. But this would leave that section basically hanging and unsecured. Also would be a pain or impos”

“The previous set up people stated the shower would not be vented. There was a toilet where the shower drain is going. I had to cut/drill out a 45 elbow to get back to a straight pipe. In order from main line: I have a 3 inch piece of ABS - fernco rubber coupling - 3x2 street wye toilet is 4x3 closet bend - 3inch pipe - long sweep 90 - short pipe (not currently installed)-3x2 wye Middle of 4 inch pipe is at 12.5 inches from stud. Shower drain is 18 inches from back wall and 26 inches from side wa”

“I'm hoping to remove this shower head and replace it. I had assumed that there would be grooves to remove but the fitting is completely circular. I'm thinking that a rubber strap wrench turned anti clockwise on the top fitting connecting to the arm should do it. Would this be the right assumption? submitted by /u/New_Cellist_7002 [link] [comments]”

“I’m replacing the rest of the cast iron pipe in my basement to add some penetrations for add on and the this section way to pitched. Should I install the new pipe the same or is there a better way to fix this like with 2 long sweep 90s? submitted by /u/No_Lengthiness_1709 [link] [comments]”

“After replacing the cast iron it looks like I won't be able to have the required 21in in front of the bowl. Will I get grandfathered in? This is a previous 1960s bathroom. submitted by /u/Minimum-Vegetable205 [link] [comments]”

“Essentially the plumbing in the house I just bought disappears under this tiles floor. The current owner said there was no crawl space. We assumed she was wrong and we would surely find access when we took up the carpets but no luck yet. How bad is this situation from a plumbing perspective? 1940s house. Any info and thoughts would be appreciated as I am not a plumber submitted by /u/Playful-Patient1154 [link] [comments]”
