“Hey guys, I have my excell 2800 psi power washer with my gx200. The pump is starting to act up after running it hard. I spoke to CAT and I'm fairly sold on rebuilding the existing pump now being, it sounds like it's a bad…”
“We have two cars, but I rarely wash both on the same day. Time is not the main issue, i used a Greenworks electric pressure washer, so I had to bring it out, connect the water and power, then get the buckets, foam cannon, and towels ready. Repeating the whole process for the second car got tiring. I recently switched to a Giraffe Tools wall mounted pressure washer. The hose reaches both sides of the driveway, so I no longer have to move the machine. Setup is easier, and I want to try washing bot”
“I know the active 2.0 isn’t meant for a detailing business, but meanwhile, I have hooked it up to my rig. I haven’t even washed a car, but I have tested it before for less than a couple of hours, I don’t recall it making the clicking sound when it auto shuts off, I have a water tank hooked up to a water pressure pump 4GPM. Yes I shoot out the air before I turn it on prior submitted by /u/elab_19 [link] [comments]”
“The youtubers all review the popular models and they do decently. The high flow is definitely different from 1.2gom models [re: Ryobi automotive pressure washer on sale at direct tools.]”
“Lot lower gpm [re: Ryobi automotive pressure washer on sale at direct tools.]”
“I just ordered the same one, $103.91 shipped to my home, thanks for showing this. [re: Ryobi automotive pressure washer on sale at direct tools.]”
“I got this after my old pressure washer compressor went out. I think it was a dewalt one or something like that. Anyways, I think it's great unit and very small but that's actually an issue for me. I over saw how important it was to have all the storage attachments of my old one, like the looper for the hose and electical wires. I don't use the lance as I've been converted to the gun, due to my limited space. Anyway just wanted to give my 2c if anyone thought about getting one of”
“I usually fill my buckets for contact washing through my Ryobi, simply with the power off. It's a little slower than straight from a garden hose but it flushes nearly all the air out of the garden hose and pressure hose.”
“Buy it. I have one. I use it to wash my cars and have used it to unclog my sewer service with a 50ft hose and attachments (sold separately) it has enough pressure to make it work. Let water run through the nozzle before turning it on to avoid damage to the internals.”
“If you want to save $200, get the Ryobi. You can 3d print a French cleat for the wall. Works great.”
“there are a few good "budget" pressure washer reviews on youtube Cars with Keav are great - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zx-4Bv-IlV4 he has several ... this is a good one in other ones he goes into detailed output reviews (PSI/GPM/Volts) - not scientifically controlled but good enough for the purpose of comparison”
“My Greenworks pressure washer is the 2700 psi and 2.3 gpm model. With the factory nozzles, I get 1800 psi and 1.2 gpm. With some 3.5 orifice nozzles, I get 1000 psi and 2.0 gpm.”
“https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018H74H74?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1 I washed 3 of my cars last evening using this. didn't even move them to do it, just where they happened to be parked.did not move the machine once.”
“Ok, so finally went in on a pressure washer and a DI bottle to chase a no-dry car wash set up. I have a foam cannon attachment. What products do you recommend for pre-wash and wash? What is the consensus on best wheel cleaner (satin finish on one vehicle, finished on the other)? Is the two bucket method recommended for all colored paint? Should I use a drying aid during the final rinse with DI? If so, which one? Initial plan is regular water for pre-wash, wash, and rinse to remove product, then”
“I just do my cars, it’s nice having pressure washer and saves on water. You can catch the ryobi 1.8 gal on sale from direct tool for around a hundred for a blemished model. Think they’re around 125 right now, if you sign up you’ll get notice for sales. Then grab a raincorvo foam cannon from Amazon and you’re good to go. Quick connects are really nice but not necessary. Same as a good hose or swivel connect. All nice but can live without.”
“Is the ryobi 1200 psi 1.8 gpm a good non expensive pressure washer or would you go with I higher psi and lower gpm ?”
“For auto detailing, PSI is not as important as GPM. You want something close to at least 2.0GPM for auto detailing. You can also manipulate PSI through different wash tips.”
“You don’t want to use a power washer to remove bugs. Detail King has a bug remover called Bug Off that works excellent.”
“Yeah, that’s probably not getting you enough gpm, and probably not at 1200 psi either. You don’t need more psi, you need a legit brand and more gpm.”
“Hi all -- I've been using the DRFT foam cannon since July with an Active pressure washer and today it just blew up. (I have contacted their customer service, so I'm checking here to see if mine is an isolated incident or if the DRFT is maybe not great quality.) I have used it on maybe 20 cars this year and I'm pretty careful with it. Within the first month or two, I started to get water squirting out of the first adapter. (The rubber washer wasn't doing it's job.) So I replac”
“I have a downstream injector love it but not much pressure from black tip to reach much. Been looking at a Jrod but wondering what size and length pressure washer hose I need as well. Looking to either get 100ft 1/4 or 3/8 not very knowledgeable about this. Need something that will give good reach because right now using the black nozzle anything past 25ft is like a mist submitted by /u/theonewhoislostt [link] [comments]”
“I currently wash my car every week and I’m using Green Star as a pre wash and it’s not only expensive but I’m reading that’s a strong cleaner to be using weekly. What should I use as a pre wash if I’m washing every week? submitted by /u/diorboyz45 [link] [comments]”

“My PPF guy recommended the Ryobi pressure washer. He told me to do the two foaming process with it and use a blower for drying afterwards like yours did.”
“dude is picture you out there with a super powered gas pressure washer.. im using the same ryobi as you, about a year into weekly washes on my ppf, no issues”
“About the same I think. They just spray less water at a higher pressure than running an open garden hose.”
“Nope. I've always done it myself at home. I'm assuming those pressure washers are really powerful compared to that little Ryobi.”
“I just didn't know if using a pressure washer vs a garden hose is really making that much difference prior to the hand wash. I've never really used pressure washers before so I have no experience with them removing dirt by themselves without hand washing.”
“I have the same pressure washer and I use it just for rinsing. Use the white 40⁰ tip and keep it around 12-16 inches away from the car.”
“I have one of these and it works well on my Ryobi. TOOLCY Pro Short Pressure Washer... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085NBJB71?ref=ppx\_pop\_mob\_ap\_share”
“I have a DeWalt 20v portable, and honestly, it's mediocre at best. The one redeeming part is you can just use a bucket and it will suck the water. But it's just really low volume and relatively low pressure for a pressure washer. I can't recommend it for washing cars.”
“I use the Worx (also in an apartment) and coupled with foam cannon attachment gets a lot of the stubborn dirt off if you follow the correct processes. It's not anywhere near a normal pressure washer in strength but I find it to be worth the money. Especially when it comes to cleaning detailed rim design after you've used a wheel cleaner.”
“I'm looking to buy a cordless pressure washer and looking for recommendations, I live in a flat with no outdoor tap so needing something that can draw from a bucket but with decent enough pressure. I've read that Worx hydroshot are good but maybe a little outwith my budget, so want to hear peoples suggestions of others submitted by /u/jimboro7 [link] [comments]”
“Any recommendations, my budget is $1500 I’m in Australia. I was looking at JET-USA TX870 for $1169 Renegade Industrial PRO4000H $1149 Both have at least 15lpm and I will have to buy a longer hose for both but if anyone has had one of these or another they could recommend let me know. submitted by /u/Dirt-Bear [link] [comments]”
“Oh, ok. I think mine totally bottoms out with just a normal squeeze so a tennis ball wouldn’t do anything other than that. It’s just some cheap electric- sun joe I think, it was on sale.”
“I do. I think it was over amping. I was playing around with my new foam cannon. Trying different orifice sizes and foam concentrations. I just don’t think it likes a 1.1 orifice.”
“Psi matters but the key is gpm. Need at least 1.8gpm or it’s not really washing the car effectively”
“Update on my power washer project from a few days ago. TLDR Picked up a power washer, engine works great now. Pump leaks water though. NO water through hose. So I cracked the pump open, and as you can see in the first picture, I have a real nice slurry. Clearly water is getting through into the wobble plate and shaft assembly. Despite this, all of the metal components are in incredible shape. The ball bearings are there, the plates are fine, even the actual pistons have almost no damage, other t”
“Using a continental inlet hose and a Kobrajet PW hose. I’ll double check flow but I’m pretty confident there”
“I have this one and it seems to work alright. The pressure can be inconsistent sometimes, but other than that it's a good buy imo.”
“Does it use a standard hose? I really want to replace my old SunJoe electric with a cheap one that takes standard fittings so I can use it when I just need something for a few minutes.”
“I’m looking to add a dedicated soft wash system to my rig and was pretty set on getting a 12v system because I didn’t want to spend thousands on a p40 setup. But now I’m seeing the cheap shot system powered by the predator water pump and now I’m stuck. What are yall opinions on 12v vs the predator pump and if yall have experience with both. submitted by /u/Silver_Plenty_4509 [link] [comments]”
“This is a great automotive pressure washer. Get yourself some quick connects. And a better hose. And a better stubby. And a better foam cannon. I’m still working through replacing the accessories included in this kit”
“Hi guys, trying to figure out why my Predator 4400 psi/4.2gpm washer has really low pressure. Mid job it just gave out on me. Thankfully I have a backup washer but can't figure it out. I'm really good with changing the oil and pump oil on it. No issue with the hose because my other machine worked fine using all the same equipment. Thinking maybe the unloader valve? Hopefully my pump is not fried. Please help. Thanks guys. submitted by /u/Slayer8585 [link] [comments]”
“My friends, I am having an issue with my pressure washer not reaching its max PSI (3200). My setup: -Honda gx630canpump -5.7gpm pump with built in unloader. (I’ve tightened the unloader to max to by pass this) - external unloader: Pulsar Zero flow sensitive unloader valve All my jobs have been soft washing this year so I never noticed this issue until recently I decided to customize a jrod with different options for PSI. I’m using a 6.0 tip to test, and I’ve hooked a pressure gauge after my exte”
“There no way people are actually using 4000+ psi to clean concrete driveways, siding and wood decks right?! I’m looking at building/buying a new washer that’s 4 GPM minimum so I can use a sludge sucker effectively but I’m curious what PSI should I try to obtain? Also would use this for general tasks that require a small pressure washer on jobs and around my properties. I don’t think I actually need 4000 PSI for the Venturi suction effect would I? I’m curious to try it out with a small 3200 PSI 2”
“True. Just checked my local home depot and they have the "RYOBI-O-Ring-Kit-for-Pressure-Washer-RY31083" for $9 Replacement O-Rings & Filters Use with Trigger Handles, Wands, Pumps & Hoses Think that will have the o-ring I need to drop into the swivel? Alternatively, Amazon has "Tatuo 50 Pcs Pressure Washer O-Rings for 1/4 in, 3/8 in, M22 Quick Connect" for $5. https://preview.redd.it/aowax7690ljh1.jpeg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=98cf203bebbddfc84c45”
“I have to 1.2 Ryobi and I’ve been thinking of grabbing the 1.8 because it freaking takes an eternity to rinse. 50% more flow would be a noticeable improvement.”
“In your scenario, the upgrade isn’t worth it. I have both the Ryobi 1.2 and Ryobi 1.8 pressure washers. Yes, the 1.8 has more flow but it’s not “OMG, where have you been all my life?!?!” level of flow. I recommend getting some 3.0 gpm nozzle tips on Amazon. They are very inexpensive and should increase you pressure washer flow to ~1.4 gpm while also decreasing the psi to a car-washing friendly ~1000 psi. Not quite 1.8 gpm of the Ryobi but you keep $120 in your pocket.”
“I have the 1.2 gpm ryobi. Been going strong for 4 years. Even just used it to pressure wash all my concrete and house. Still going strong. If your unit still works I dont see it being worth the money to upgrade.”
“These went for $400 to $200 at Costco. I was wondering if this is good for stains that I want to get off my concrete floor. The stains are mostly due to our above ground pool. I also just want to use it to wash our cars and just things around the house. Any recommendation if this one isn’t good for the price? I have a $509 budget. Thanks yall. submitted by /u/smkkm5 [link] [comments]”
“I already own a CRAFTSMAN 1900 PSI, 1.2 GPM and I’m wondering if it’s worth spending $120 on the Ryobi 1200 PSI, 1.8 GPM Automotive Electric Pressure Washer. My use case: Wash my car about once a month City driving only, so mostly normal dust and road grime Using foam cannon with Meguiar’s Gold Class Current process is rinse > foam > repeat > microfiber dry I dont actually hand wash, its all done with washer Am I actually going to see better overall cleaning results, or is it mostly a c”
“Ryobi EZClean 600 PSI. Of course, it won't be as powerful as a corded pressure washer, but should be good enough. Have you considered rinseless washing? It's so much easier than using a pressure washer.”
“Are there any good battery pressure washers that I can use a 5 gallon bucket of water with? I can wash my car in the apartment garage downstairs but there isn't a water source, so I don't mind rolling down a 5 gallon bucket of water from my home down. submitted by /u/Vatican87 [link] [comments]”
“This is about more than the wax. This is the process and products I use. Stuff I have: Greenworks 1.8 GPM Pressure Washer - Its foam cannon works; the one that comes with the Ryobi does not. The Rag Company - Liquid8r (I now have three of them. I have to use 2 to completely dry my vehicle). I got the 20x24 size because I find it easier to control than the larger one The Rag Company Edgeless 450 (6 Pack). I use these for using a rinseless or quick detailer to handle bird poop in between washes; y”
