“Hello, wanted to ask for help in troubleshooting my Ender 3 v3 CoreXZ. Recently, printer started having issues with extruding filament where it would seem to stop/skip. It has gon to the point where even normal extrusion can't be done in a perfect/good manner. Im using PLA from…”
“Hi all, I'm installing a Creality Sprite Extruder Pro on a printer using a BIGTREETECH SKR Mini E3 V3.0 and I've run into a problem. The board is currently running an older version of Marlin from 2022 (which I will re-flash as soon as I have the time but thought it was worth…”
“Hi folks. I picked up a used Flashforge Adventurer 5M on Saturday, and spent most of Sunday printing. So far, mostly so good. I had one weird problem with my last print yesterday. I'm printing with PLA, Flash Studio 1.7.6, printing at the default speed and temps. (I think that's…”
Users report their printers experiencing clogs leading to burnt filament, smoke, and difficulty removing parts. Some have tried adjusting temperatures or manually clearing obstructions but the issue persists.

“Hello, wanted to ask for help in troubleshooting my Ender 3 v3 CoreXZ. Recently, printer started having issues with extruding filament where it would seem to stop/skip. It has gon to the point where even normal extrusion can't be done in a perfect/good manner. Im using PLA from Sunlu to print and it's only been recently that I've had this problem. It's been struggling to print out flat surface prints (like a normal rectangular container less than 20 cm long/wide and 2mm thick). T”
“Hi all, I'm installing a Creality Sprite Extruder Pro on a printer using a BIGTREETECH SKR Mini E3 V3.0 and I've run into a problem. The board is currently running an older version of Marlin from 2022 (which I will re-flash as soon as I have the time but thought it was worth mentioning). Everything appears normal when I power the printer on: - No smoke at idle - Hotend temperature reads normally - I can heat the hotend without any smoke - The Sprite heater and thermistor seem to work nor”
“Hi folks. I picked up a used Flashforge Adventurer 5M on Saturday, and spent most of Sunday printing. So far, mostly so good. I had one weird problem with my last print yesterday. I'm printing with PLA, Flash Studio 1.7.6, printing at the default speed and temps. (I think that's 60C for the bed and 220C for the nozzle, not sure about the speed.) Photos below, but the question is this: Everything printed fine except for one base, as you can see in the photos. It's completely missing,”
“I have been printing with a flashforge adventurer 5m for 2 years and I am having difficulty printing this particularly basic model. Petg filament. Failed 3 times already. submitted by /u/alpine_thousandlakes [link] [comments]”
“Seeing Kingroon filament everywhere lately for crazy cheap prices. Is it actually good quality for everyday printing, or is it a headache with clogs, stringing, and moisturizing? Specifically, PLA+ and PLA submitted by /u/TruthZealousideal196 [link] [comments]”
“Pics attached below. The problem started last week. I was printing tiny pieces for my miniature bases mostly a bunch of 2–3 mm wide rectangles. The first batch came out perfectly fine. Starting with the second batch, I noticed that some pieces were detaching from the build plate and getting flung off. I cleaned the plate with soap and warm water and tried printing again. It was somewhat better: a few small pieces were still getting flung off, but most stayed attached. I did another thorough clea”
“I want to print some fiber 3d filaments and Im unsure if to buy bimetal nozzles or hardened steel nozzles. The bimetal ones seem to be more easy to print with but I read a reviews saying it's not enough for filaments with fibers on them. Wanted to know what people actually use. submitted by /u/BlumyDummy [link] [comments]”
“I’ve been fighting with my Flashforge Adventurer for 2 days, trying to print this last project before Dragon Con, but the nozzle kept getting clogged because of the wood PLA filament. I tried to at least clean it out enough to finish the print, but to no avail. So that last project just won’t be finished, and I won’t use wood PLA plastic until I get a bigger nozzle. Specifically a .6mm, or an .8mm just in case. So yea, if anyone plans to use wood filament, make sure the nozzle on your printer is”
“Was printing a cosplay prop, smelt like burned plastic but though it was the PETG printing (I got a cold and can't smell right), turns out it wasn't the PETG... submitted by /u/Tubizonte [link] [comments]”
“I'm pretty good with printers so I thought this would be an easy fix for a good deal but it seems to keep clogging and having extrusion issues. The guy said it might need a new extruder but it seems to be working ok. I'm using Cura and I've been playing with the temps, retraction, and extruding settings. I've also tried 2 different filament and dried them. Anyone else have extra advice? submitted by /u/ultrasuperman1001 [link] [comments]”
“I bought a large printer a few years ago, never got it printing perfectly but good enough for what I was doing. It's showing it's age, so the question is should I update and service this printer, or are there better big area options available now? Advice repairs vs current opinions I am not asking if I should buy a printer, just economic opinions on my options. submitted by /u/rambow13 [link] [comments]”
“a friend suggested a quarter an hour but that shit adds up QUICK on fdm, so curious other people's thoughts, especially for bulk commissions submitted by /u/MilkQueen [link] [comments]”
“From what I can see I’ve got a z issue and a stringing problem any advice on Lining the z switch up correctly I did burn the strings off and overall I like how it came out and excited to learn more and start printing my backlog of cad models submitted by /u/bazza_the_spazza [link] [comments]”

“Hi All, I'm building a cabinet to house my FDM and resin printer. Paramount for me is going to be safety. I plan to ventilate my cabinet outside my home and I could really use your opinions on my plan. Just a couple of things to note: It’s a 2 door cabinet. https://ibb.co/dw7419QW https://ibb.co/N6v4cW4Q https://ibb.co/zTqYJM0v https://ibb.co/Fqhcs5MX https://ibb.co/Z1z6rrZ5 Ideally, I would like to be able to open the right side of the cabinet to access the top compartment containing the FD”
“I am new to 3D printing and own a Artillery Sidewinder X4 Pro and I am using basic Creality PETG filament. The printer runs moonsail and I use OrcaSlicer as main interface. The printer uses community profiles for the printer, filament and process and on top, I calibrated it with the integrated tools of OrcaSlicer. It prints well, until it doesn’t, seemingly at random times, it causes spaghetti. Nozzle temperature: 230°C. What could be the cause of this? Images: https://imgur.com/a/p2nLSH7”
