“What if contractors are the only ones who actually want to stick around because they're sick of being contractors?”
“Why is it that companies, not all, but most, refuse to rehire people. Especially jobs that have high turnover rates. And a job with a high turnover rate, at least the rehire knows what they're getting themselves into. What is the difference between a rehire that works there for…”
Multiple individuals in recruiting are expressing a desire or have already decided to leave their positions. The reasons aren't explicitly stated, but the tone suggests dissatisfaction and a sense of hopelessness regarding their current roles.

“"Part of me feels bad because she's a real person with real responsibilities" Don't let this part of you fade away.”
“Idk my last two jobs I quit with out anything set up. Depends on the industry. Ive more people turn down offers than accept them this year. Super frustrating when hiring.”
“its like the stanford prison experiment, they know recruiters are natural sadists so they take on their role like that one recruiter guys video on here really gives u an insight to how these guys think ...anddd GO Ok bullet 1 - thats a hotdog bullet 2 - thats a hotdog bullet 3 - thats a hotdog Why are you serving me hotdogs when I ordered a hamburger? “Just an FYI; the vast number of recruiters haven't actually worked in their field in years (or even decades) and it shows.”
“Hi everyone! Been an agency recruiter for the last 11 years, the first 10 in IT and the last year and a half as a locums recruiter. Got very burnt out doing locums, in a way that never affected me while working in IT. Am very fortunate to be making a change over to corporate recruiting for a software company in the city near me. Classic corporate recruiter role focusing on Sales, GTM and IT roles. I have the IT part of the job down, have done some GTM but haven't worked on many straight-up S”

“Exactly why I hated being a recruiter. Then the pandemic made me realize that I too was the cattle.”

And a job with a high turnover rate, at least the rehire knows what they're getting themselves into. What is the difference between a rehire that works there for 2 months and possibly gets fired or quits, or a new hire that gets fired or quits in two months. Absolutely nothing. And the amount of people that actually stay at companies for any amount of time these days is such a”
“I'm thinking of leaving Campus Recruiting but I'd love to know what type of career's you transitioned to afterwards? Did you stay in recruiting, or move into HR, or something else? Would love to know why and hear some ideas on what that path has looked like for others. There's a lot of crap that we do in campus so I might not be thinking of a great role that can come post that (like outside of recruiting especially). submitted by /u/sunflowerisland [link] [comme”
“Is there any recruiting job that comes with peace and a good work life balanced corporate job. It's 12 midnight, I was sourcing for my open roles, so that I can discuss the role with them tomorrow and share some profiles. Because in office, there are other work, ats management, offer roll outs, negotiation, interview scheduling, meetings. I am just so fucked up at this moment that i think that is it same everywhere else like in every company do you have to work 24/7. Can't you just clock”
“I work as a recruiter for a staffing agency with barely any useful vacancies and I think I’m heading into a pretty serious burnout. For a while I was doing well but lately I just can’t do it anymore. My manager seems to care about nothing but KPIs (suprise) instead of actually supporting the team or taking action when things aren’t working. I’m so tired of the same useless peptalks without anything actually changing. The manager can easily bring in new useful projects with their connections inst”
“1) The area I live in is a real vide killer, meaning, people here don't tend to move on to new things, they are expected to stay with a company until retirement especially if they are "comfortable". 2) Talents are not in great supply 3) No one really wants to relocate here, anyone with options anyway. submitted by /u/IllTangerine8235 [link] [comments]”
“Hey guys, I am at my wit's end and would like to hear other recruiters' opinion. I have been in the field for 4-5 years now, and had always some sort of assessment test as part of the process. It has never been too much of an issue, but for the last two years it has become a larger source of frustration. My current company has a numeric/verbal/abstract 1 hour assessment test after the interview with talent, and this is a hard filter where candidates need to score a minimum to move forwar”
