“I would get 2x 32 displays that have been daisychained. I recommend Dell 4k screens. Also get good office chair. ex. Herman Miller”

“That switch is a KVM, so I’d stick with a used ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 dock or a Dell WD19TB since both handle dual monitors and land near $200 refurbised.”

“The logitech mx master 3s has one too and is great for office work. A little vertical so it’s really comfy on the wrist and quiet clicks. Absolutely love it”

Dell Wd25 is what I use for a 3 monitor setup

“USB docks can work, but for two monitors I'd double-check DisplayLink support and power delivery befroe buying one.”

“My wife has a setup somewhat like mine but she uses a Logitech bluetooth KB and mouse that will bid to 3 devices.. She switches monitor inputs and toggles to the 2nd device on her KB and mouse. It's not a clean 1 button solution but it works for her. I use 2 keyboards and mouce.. ( laptop KB and one in a tray.. normal moue for personal PC and a thumbwheels mouse for the work laptop. I don't like having to switch back and forth. I prefer to have both PC's accessable.”

“I just started working from home and I’m currently using a kitchen chair as my desk chair. Needless to say, it’s not the most comfortable setup. I have a strict $200 budget. Please don’t recommend anything over $200 or tell me to save up, borrow money, or increase my budget. I only have $200 to spend. I’m 6’1” and 170 lbs. What’s the best office/desk chair I can get for $200 or less? Looking for something comfortable enough to sit in for 10 hours a day. submitted by /u/Patient-Buffal”

“Hello all, I've recently switched remote jobs, and with that, my previous employer has taken back their laptop dock. My new company has not provided one as the laptop works with the monitor, but does provide a $200 dollar stipend that I can use towards a dock. If anyone has any recommendations that are about that price range (or lower), I'd greatly appreciate it. I'll leave some details of my setup down below in case it influences the recommendations. Please let me know if you need a”

“They are faster especially if you are using keyboard shorts for the most part.”

“Most (legit) companies will provide you with a laptop, so that likely isn’t something you need to worry about. Regarding the monitor, I highly recommend having one or two along with your laptop, especially if you need multiple programs open at once.”

“We use about 50 of those models of docks. They work well but we did have to upgrade the firmware on some to fix the screen flashing. Also make sure you are using the proper thunderbolt USB c cable between the dock and laptop.”

“Look up the Anker dock I mentioned and look at the pics. You connect everything to the dock: monitor(s), keyboard/mouse, network, webcam, optionally power. Then you have a single USB-C cable on the dock that plugs into your laptop. Doesn’t matter if it’s a Dell, some other PC brand, or a Mac. They all recognize the dock automatically and pick up the connected things. Oh, and you only connect one laptop at a time. But if you have a nice desk setup, it just makes it easy to use the same monitor et”

“Since you mentioned design work and needing something that works with both Mac and PC, a 27" 4K USB-C monitor would be a good direction to start with. From BenQ’s PD series, PD2706U could be worth considering if budget allows. It gives you 4K clarity, USB-C, KVM, and color-focused modes for design work. If you find PD2705U discounted, that can also be a solid value pick. For the “misc setup” side, ScreenBar Halo 2 is also worth considering for WFH. It adds front desk lighting plus rear ambi”

“For design work, prioritize a 27 inch 4K IPS monitor with good sRGB coverage and USB-C if the price is close; Dell S2722QC, LG 27UP850, or BenQ PD2705U are common safe picks when discounted. Keyboard-wise, Logitech MX Keys or a Keychron K series board can switch between Mac and Windows layouts without much fuss, and a Logitech Lift or MX Vertical is worth trying for wrist issues. For the dock, check that it supports your exact laptop ports and 4K at 60Hz, since cheap hubs often quietly fail ther”

“For design work on a sane budget, look at a 27 inch IPS panel first: Asus ProArt PA278CV for QHD or LG 27UP850 / Dell S2722QC if you want 4K, because blurry text is apparently what laptop makers think builds character. Logitech MX Keys or Keychron K series can switch between Mac and PC layouts, and a Logitech Lift vertical mouse is worth a look for wrist issues. For docking, Plugable or Anker USB C docks are usually fine unless you need multiple high refresh monitors, then the cheap ones start d”
