“Hi everyone! I'm interested in learning Salesforce, but I'm a bit confused about where to start and to follow the right learning path.I want to learn Salesforce from scratch . I'd appreciate some guidance on which topics I should learn first, which certifications are worth pursuing, and what resources are best for beginners. I do have expreince in programming and development. submitted by /u/Sanoj6024 [link] [comments]”
“Used salesforce for a couple of years in different jobs and looking to transition to more of a technical role. Was thinking about getting the sf admin cert, but is it worth it at this time? submitted by /u/ComfortableReason796 [link] [comments]”
“I feel like I'm taking crazy pills over here. We just upgraded to an enterprise-level account and have been meeting with our account executive very frequently. I followed every single step I could find made available through Claude, Salesforce, and the wide web to get these two platforms integrated, and for some reason I can't get them to connect. I've gotten other things to connect to both Claude and Salesforce via MCP but for some reason I can't make this marriage happen. I rea”
“I plan on taking my exam at the end of October. Anticipating I pass and would like to look for a salesforce beginner/junior admin job, any advice to someone in my situation? Start learning xyz, or do something specific to stand out or that would help later down the line? Certain topic to make sure I really have a good understanding off or additional studying. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you. submitted by /u/Hordorpls [link] [comments]”
“Hey Salesforce experts, I just accepted a job at a great company, and I'm equal parts thrilled and terrified. It’s a role I've dreamed of, but as I wrap my head around the scope, I need your advice, a reality check, and maybe a little reassurance. What the Role Looks Like About 40% of my responsibilities are tied directly to Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). From what I gather, I’m essentially taking ownership of a database with a full legacy of decades of messy, incomplete data. The Da”
“Salesforce’s announcement now confirms the Contentful acquisition closed September 1. I covered in this weeks episode but I still have questions. The obvious pitch is bringing content closer to customer data and Agentforce. Okay. But what’s the thing you actually want fixed? Where are you currently copying content between systems, maintaining a fragile connection, or waiting on a person who has become an unofficial API? I made an Enterprise Voltron joke about this on Headless because I am incapa”
“I've been using salesforce for a few years now, was on a different department but recently joined sales to the internal platform changed. We have Accounts, Leads, Opportunities - keeping it simple. While creating my own leads, the system automatically assigns us new clients constantly throughout the day. I have a hard time flowing through salesforce to make it work with me and make sure I'm following up correctly. Any tips or advice to program salesforce to give myself a better work flow”
“You guys will be able to tell pretty quickly that I'm not nearly as savvy as most of you when it comes to setting up, maintaining, and utilizing Salesforce... but bear with this novice a moment. I've been a Salesforce user since 2019, but I've never upgraded past a professional license. I've never really used flows, APIs, Apex triggers, Visual Force pages, etc. Salesforce to me has always been purely a database and CRM. Now my company has grown, and we are likely going to be upgr”
“Is it just me or are other admins expected to orchestrate technical systems that integrate with Salesforce. I guess I just have a hard time understanding why salesforce admins are stuck with these responsibilities. submitted by /u/Zestyclose_Energy_86 [link] [comments]”
“If you've tried to build a Salesforce integration lately, you've probably hit this wall. Connected Apps are being phased out. On new orgs in Winter '26, creating them in the UI is off by default, and starting Spring '26 you can't turn that option back on unless Salesforce Support approves it. So everyone is getting pushed toward External Client Apps (ECA), and the OAuth setup around them is genuinely confusing the first time you do it. The two-account Dev Hub plus namespace d”
“You're the Salesforce Admin watching a pipeline meeting. The sales team is running everything from spreadsheets. Forecast adjustments happen there. Pipeline notes live there. Managers challenge close dates and stages there. The decisions happen there. Meanwhile, your Salesforce backlog keeps growing. New Opportunity fields. Data imports. Forecasting enhancements. Automations. Integrations. Requests to “improve adoption.” You keep building, fixing, and cleaning. But the actual pipeline proces”
“Hello Everyone. I have been working as a Salesforce support admin for more than 2 years but i haven't been able to upgrade my skills. I haven't worked on flows or integrations with other apps in Salesforce. Just doing the same basic tasks as I was doing on the first day of the job.. When i joined the company, their Salesforce org was already running, they just wanted someone to handle basic tasks.. so, i didn't get the chance to create/experiment something new. Now, as i am applying”

“I have been trying to go live on Salesforce and the whole year went with their processes. Their app review support team is usually super slow in responding to the queries. Sometimes, they take weeks just to get back with another reason for delaying / declining the review. submitted by /u/Irfan__wani [link] [comments]”
“Howdy - has anyone experience this before? Basically platform users who have a single app in their profile can now see all custom apps as well as other random ones such as Sales / Sales Operations and any installed packages. Thankfully it hasnt given them access to any objects they shouldnt have but super weird they can noww see a tonne of apps from the app launcher. And yes - have checked perm sets and profiles and nothing has changed in this respect. Only noticed as we were testing a login flo”
“Hello friends. Did anyone come into Agentforce Co-work being on for everyone in your org this morning yet the feature is marked off in setup and now one has been assigned any permissions? Our SFDC AE is useless and has been giving us canned slackbot responses with no real direction on how this was turned on, why we cannot turn it off, and how its even operating when no one has any permissions to use it. All the while users are chewing up our flex credits as there is no way to turn it off. Anyone”
“I have a voucher to use in the next two weeks, and figure I'll give PD1 a try. TBH I do not expect to pass, but figure it might help to have a real life test so guide my future efforts. BUT, I'm also going to give it the old college try and maybe get lucky. If you had two weeks, what would you focus on? A lot of folks suggest just reading documentation - by that do they mean the big 800+ page doc? About me: I'm an advanced admin with tons of Flow experience but my brain just does not”
“hey everyone, i’m still getting comfortable with Salesforce and recently got stuck dealing with a pretty messy data cleanup project.we have a lot of older records that need fixing. nothing too surprising — duplicates, missing fields, inconsistent values, random stuff that probably happened over years of different people entering data. the problem is doing it directly in Salesforce is taking forever. once you’re dealing with thousands of records, even small changes become a huge manual process. m”
“I got it 3 weeks into my first Salesforce job. Just do the trailhead, grind focus on force (now on K2 University), if you get one wrong talk to ai about it until you fully get it. I would get one question wrong and spent 30 minutes discussing why with an AI model.”
“Agree to disagree, I found it surprisingly easy. I was 3 weeks into my first Salesforce and dev job, but I am a pretty good test taker though. I think it’s process of elimination, realizing what can’t be the correct answer. So even if unsure it’s a 50/50 instead of a 25% chance. Usually there is 2-3 that can just be eliminated. Studying for deployment and lifecycle architect which is brutal because there is 4 good answers and you have to pick the correct 2. No other exam has been that much grey”
“I think PD1 is a "two attempt" exam. Study what you can, then go in and see the actual real questions, then you know exactly what you need to study for the next try. I think almost everybody needs 2 attempts unless you have several years of hands-on developer experience. The questions can be super niche and very tricky.”
