“I have an 18.86 kw system currently. 41 x 460W panels, IQ8X microinverters and an enphase combiner. It's my understanding that the combiner will accept 9 more panels and inverters. Ultimately, I want to get as close as I can to 25 kW system (my state's limit), but I also want to…”

Solar installers and homeowners report frustration with fragmented monitoring systems for multi-brand solar installations. The lack of a unified portal forces users to check multiple platforms, complicating maintenance and performance tracking.

“I recently installed a 1200w plug in solar system with anti backflow. I have it on a dedicated outlet and noticed that when generating electricity it only uses it on line 1 of my panel and stops producing electricity When it generates more power than line 1 is using due to the anti backflow and line 2 doesn't use any of it. Of course not because its illegal but Hypothetically, if someone was in a similar situation as me and they upped the maximum watt allowed for plug in solar would you be a”
“Hi, I’m new in HomeAssistant and in a first step I’m trying to add all my available components into HA. In a second step I’ll start with automating this components. No I want to add the data off my solar panels, but I …”
To rewire put in a new panel etc. Service upgrade would be different
“I'm building a plug in system and am considering using the ecoflow stream microinverter. I want to tie two 200 watt panels together in parallel for one of the mppt's. The panels are 9amps max each (which would be 18amps when set up), and the ecoflow specs say: Max. Input Current 3 × 14A Max. Input Short Circuit Current 3 × 20A I know that 18amps is more than the 14 max, but would it simply dump the extra power or would it cause damage? I'm also pondering APsystems EZ1 Plug-in Microin”
“Posting this on behalf of my brother: Hi all, I've already got a pretty decent system (a 48-panel, 460W ground mount array, dual Sol-Ark 15Ks, and 122kWh of storage... yeah, it's something 😄), but believe it or not, we could use some extra generation, especially during all the recent heat waves and long bouts of overcast, kinda-rainy weather. I was looking to build a canopy over our deck and use panels as the roofing. Because this is just additional generation, the stakes are pretty low”
“All 4 panels are in diffrent inverters. I transferred all the microinverters over to my app yesterday. Have i done something wrong when i transferred them over to my app for monitoring? Afaik no such problems before i transferred them over. submitted by /u/petteri252 [link] [comments]”

When using the Senec.Connect API, the API response returns an array containing multiple systems if more than one PV system is linked to the account. Currently, the integration does not provide an option to handle this array correctly to select or integrate specific systems. In my case, the account contains an old "SENEC.Home 4" and a new "SENEC.Home P4" system. Describe the solution you'd like The integration should iterate through t”
“So I added 8 440w bifacial panels with IQ8 plus micro inverters. They connected to Enphase toolkit and I assigned them to their respective panels. But the live view doesn’t show them producing. But it shows I’m exporting more than I’m producing. Is that normal since the panels go through my sub panel and not the combiner box? submitted by /u/Pivotal_Goose [link] [comments]”
“Hello everyone, This is my first time using Home Assistant and the first thing I tried to do was to connect my Foxess solar + Battery backup to it. Unfortunately, I found all the information for European and Asian conne…”
“You probably don’t need to build it fully from scratch. Some providers/tools already do this, but it depends on the inverter models. If all systems are the same brand, the manufacturer or installer portal may support multi site monitoring. If they are mixed brands, then you’d need a third party monitoring tool or data logger that supports those specific inverters.”
“It depends a lot on the inverter brands/models at each house. If all systems are from the same ecosystem, the manufacturer or installer portal is usually the easiest way. For mixed brands, you normally need a third party monitoring layer or some kind of local data logger that can read from each inverter and push the data into one dashboard. Compatibility is the key part here, so I’d first list the inverter models at each site and then check which monitori”
“Yep. Looks like your installer is only doing 13 panels. This is only going to require two breaker spaces in the combiner box which will accept four breakers. This will leave you two additional breaker spaces which should accommodate about 22 more panels. I don't know how many more you're wanting to DIY but there's tons of room.”
“Great question. I just don't have time to research and do a full system to code becauseI have two little kids, and my county is a PITA so I want a "legit permitted" tap into the panel/meter etc. From there, I can add panels as I have time just to get my solar capacity up. So if I do the IQ8 training, I could purchase and install additional panels/microinverters and then bring them in via the combiner box which should all be pretty simple. Thanks f”
“Enphase is super simple and you would just add a breaker (or two) to the combiner panel. You would need to complete the Enphase installer training for IQ8 micro inverters to commission the additional panels. Quick question, if you're competent and capable enough to buy some extra panels, why not diy the entire system? $3.20 a watt is expensive AF.”
