“UBER is a total rip off they take between 35-40% & then thy include 45& on some BS Insurance that of course only helps them & on top of everything else if you get the Uber Pro card, they charge almost $5 to transfer your balance to your account. And also, if you use their card…”
Drivers report that the fare rates from 2019 were significantly higher than current rates, making it difficult to earn a livable income. The decline in earnings is attributed to reduced pay per trip and increased operational costs.

“Do you all realize that Cybercabs are going to put Uber out of business? Karma is coming for Uber’s greediness. They monopolized cabs and now they’re going to get monopolized and you are all collateral damage. “It’s only been a day since the EU slapped Uber with a massive fine, and apparently, 50% isn't enough anymore. They’ve already started squeezing drivers even harder to make that money back: Ride 1: Rider paid $27.95 ➔ Uber took $15.52 (55.5%) ➔ Driver got $12.43 Ride 2: Rider paid $14.94 ➔ Uber took $9.01 (60.3%) ➔ Driver got $5.93 We cover 100% of the gas, insurance, and vehicle depreciation, while Uber quietly pockets up to 60% of the fare . Without that $9 tip, Ride 1 wouldn’t even cover t”
“I think Ive identified the culprit. Tbh, its probably Dara going nuclear on the algorithm’s max exploitation, but this quest also could be making it worse. All the clowns chasing .$50/ride and flooding the market. Weve got Guns and Roses and UFC tonight, but yesterday the app was raining $4-$5 garbage and $7.28 for 25 minute obscenities. In order to do 7-8 rides, I must have declined 500-800. submitted by /u/Sweettooth702 [link] [comments]”

“Dear Fellow Drivers, Enough is enough! It is time to fight back against the unfair practices of Uber and Lyft. If you are tired of the major GREED that has now turned into FRAUD, from these companies and want to join a potential class-action lawsuit to recover the money taken over the 30% threshold, please read on. This is my third year driving for Uber and Lyft, and I have watched them take a larger percentage of the pay per ride each year. I have contacted four local news stations here in Okla”

“Screenshots taken exactly 1 month apart from one another July13th-August 13th. If this is what to expect for the remainder of the year, there’s very little incentive for me to pick up low fare rides/low rating pax. I drive around metro ATL which is very active on a daily especially weekends. When the FIFA World Cup was taking place in the city I was making upwards of 2k a week with Uber X with the help of promotions. Now that the games are over with, the demand is still here but the incentive to”
