“I had an issue with a trip this morning, and since I contacted Support to complain, not one offer has come in. It’s been about 30 minutes now. It happens every time. Keep quiet, minions.”
“-$14.36 for a trip total of $25.00 I HATE uber. WHY the fuck do YOU get more than half?”
“Only reason I grabbed the stop is that I’m headed that way but it gets to a point fuck what the customer said why do I have to drive 20 min to pick some one up is this a uber reserve minimum 10 min and under for pick up and at the time their was closer driver so what’s the…”
Uber drivers are complaining that Uber is manipulating fare calculations by secretly changing destinations mid-ride, resulting in significantly longer routes and lower earnings. Drivers feel misled and express frustration with the platform's transparency.

“(Atlanta) 4 year's experience) All these idiotic comments, I swear, on all these posts, lol. “Well, don’t do Uber.” “You accepted it, so…” Blah, blah, blah. These should NOT be the comments on a post about someone exposing corporate greed. The more drivers complain, the more awareness we create. And the more awareness we create, the greater the potential for something to be done about it. Informing customers that most of the money isn’t going to the driver, making people aware that driving f”

“Regional airport ride, 16.17 miles, 27 minutes 17 seconds. Rider paid $62.96. Uber kept $23.37 and left me with $19.09. submitted by /u/Careless_Change3865 [link] [comments]”
“I drive in the middle of the night so no traffic . But still man. Im pretty much exclusively using lyft because they pay a dollar a mile or more every ride for me. But uber ?? They throw bullshit rides constantly. submitted by /u/Relative_Matter5263 [link] [comments]”

“Pretty good ride pops up, I accept and about 2 minutes on my way to the pax they send this message. "This ride is for 11:30am, I tip very well." It was currently 10am. This fool ordered an Uber an hour and a half early. So many things I wanted to reply to that. Some snarky. Some questioning what tip would that be for asking me to wait one and a half hours because you're calling this Uber so early. Do you know what a reserve ride is, dumbass?? But I decide to not even engage. So I r”
“I asked Grok. Grok has some interesting info to share: Me: So, I'm out driving Uber, and I've noticed something when it comes to the rates, and I was gonna see if you knew anything. So, I drive what's known as an UberXL. Up until about a week ago, maybe two, I've noticed that when I get a local pickup, something that's not going very far, the average pay for the driver was between ten and eleven dollars. Now, every time I get something up that comes up local, it's just ab”

“I thought they had increased the wait fee to $5.00, as the new waiting explainer page states. However, the $5.00 that is stated on this page is what is charged to the rider. Then Uber takes a $1.45 fee from that, and pays the same $3.55 they have always given me. They get away with it because of that little clause on the bottom of the page that says "Values may vary due to taxes and fees". I contacted support about this and they would not budge or admit that it's confusing at best.”
“I keep seeing drivers say Uber doesn’t offer different people different amounts for the same ride, or that the idea of personalized pay is just a conspiracy theory. There’s evidence worth looking at: a side-by-side experiment by More Perfect Union and reporting by the Boston Globe based on information disclosed in the Massachusetts lawsuit against Uber and Lyft. ### More Perfect Union tested it More Perfect Union partnered with The Rideshare Guy and brought seven drivers together in West Hollywo”

“I've seen this 3 times now over several weeks. This is in L.A. I usually confirm SoFi drop-offs because they can be a pain and confuse the passengers (blaming me of course, since Uber nav may select a neighborhood drop-off), but this was the 3rd time in a row I've had a Lot P drop-off at SoFi, which the parking attendants I talked to this time said was only for parking but couldn't say where rideshare was supposed to be. The passengers were like the last ones weeks ago, actually want”

“Just took A $17 ride. As soon as I started the ride it showed 3 stops. That's an hour and a half of my time for 17 dollars. How greedy of a company do you have to be man. submitted by /u/WayFar468 [link] [comments]”
“Yall, Lately I’ve been dealing with a lot of misguided by uber navigation. It’s giving me a wrong direction and takes longer to complete the trip. For example, today I picked pax at the airport and uber gave me a wrong or much longer direction and the customer wasn’t happy. I explained I was strictly following uber navigation but I could tell she wasn’t happy at all. Then all of certain uber sent me an email/notification saying why your trip took longer and blah blah blah. This dumb fuck you gav”

“Picked up the trip right before rush hour peaked after getting off work in SF to bring me back towards home-ish. Quoted time from uber navigation was 1hr and 30 min turned to a 2hr+ trip. Pax saved me with an extra $50 tip🙏🏻 submitted by /u/FlashyConsequence421 [link] [comments]”
“Idk why they cant increase the minimum fare but will do all other bullshit for drivers, its like modern day slavery and still following the system, so system is fucked. If we get more advance and modern basic rules should be changed too or else its like living in future but still living in past like slaves who got basic things to do like driving and all but cant afford anything except living, survival is getting more expensive then the freedom to explore and experience the world, submitted”
“I love these self-centered welfare C#@% that try to scam the system. The other day, on my way home, I got a trip offer from one city in KS to another 91 miles away with an upfront fare of $109.81 and a 5-star passenger rating, so it seemed like a good trip, and I took it. That's where it went downhill. Right as I got to the pickup point, the pin showed the office. The pickup location was a large complex, so it was off by a block, and the pickup timer stopped. On person came out-and-out into”
“Man, I knew uber takes more than us the drivers but seriously? I picked up pax last night and we were talking about fare. I was fucking blown away to find out this scam company takes too much. My fare was $17 but the pax was charged $50 for the ride. I was like WTF. I mean, come on at least give us $30 or something. This mfker makes almost +120% of what we make. Damn, that’s crazy! Fucking unreal! submitted by /u/NY10 [link] [comments]”
“Ride still paying really shitty though submitted by /u/maxrdlf95 [link] [comments]”
“I don’t understand why lately they have been offering so many trips that are super far away for pick up, and 95% of the time the passenger cancels, especially if you’re ordering a priority ride and the driver is 20 minutes away….. like clockwork, anytime I’m on the 405 or on Sepulveda, they want me to drive to WeHo or something to pick up a rider. Not that I care about it, but my AR has taken a dip from 50% to 27%. submitted by /u/joshmyra [link] [comments]”
“Is Uber going to increase their fare rate according to the increased gas prices? I used to get1.4CAD/Liter for regular. Now paying 1.96CAD/L. It's a 40% increase on the gas price while I am still being offered the same fare. submitted by /u/Overall_Key9911 [link] [comments]”
“For most of you know that when we take reservations, uber will adjust the price now depending on if the passenger comes out early then the scheduled time. Well idk about other airports but I’m sure it’s the same. I am in Dallas-Fort worth and go to DFW airport. Today I’ve seen where as always their terminal had changed. Now her terminal was D and went to Terminal A. I have no issue taking them to the terminal they need to go to. Uber does not automatically change it once they make their reserve.”
“One unicorn ride during a brief surge. I love it when uber actually loses money on a ride since every other ride they stick it to us. submitted by /u/Strykerdude1 [link] [comments]”
“Beware when entering a surge area if you have a reservation upcoming. This morning I accepted a Comfort reservation for $11. Before time to head to pickup, I got a $7 surge. Nothing about the ride itself changed. My final pay was $16, the breakdown showing $8 base fare, $7 surge, and a few cents for pro perk. The fare went down because of the surge. Recalculating an upfront fare because of a subsequently added surge is theft. Stay woke. submitted by /u/authoridad [link] [commen”

“It used to be so small but now they are expanding more and now Uber drivers have to be further from the airport 🛫 submitted by /u/projectxxralph [link] [comments]”
“This is some bs. Uber is thinking they’re doing such an amazing job giving this pay. That’s just ridiculous. That will barely cover gas on how much miles you have to drive for 70/80 trips. I used to be a driver but I feel bad for others who do this full time…. submitted by /u/Nomad_m17 [link] [comments]”
“I had this $1.50 surge and uber reduced my base pay to $2.34 so they can fit in the surge price. This is getting ridiculous. Is there no min base pay in California??? submitted by /u/onlygray1 [link] [comments]”
“So tired of this, uber algo changes right before a quest is completed, for a measly $16 it feeds me nothing but crap offers that are 15 miles away, hoping I’ll just go home without it… no matter, football games is on, sitting at a charger just laughing at the stupid games they play submitted by /u/Fun_Significance2728 [link] [comments]”

“They are not able to even pay 50% of the total fare lol and after pickup I realized this ride was 44 miles total including pickup so not even $1 a mile… submitted by /u/maxrdlf95 [link] [comments]”
“7 miles pickup request begged me 3 times to take it to get paid $5, at a major mall where you can find a lot of drivers. Their stocks may fall many wonderful points tomorrow if they keep going with this kwap. submitted by /u/adoyadoy [link] [comments]”
“I’m getting $37.46 from Uber for e nearly identical reserved ride. I’m no apologies for Uber. There’s a lot of things that I disagree with, but checking into Lyft to find they are a joke. Two years ago when I used both, Lyft was very similar pricing. I guess they’ve gone downhill like all the other corporations in this country. submitted by /u/Ok_Reception_6563 [link] [comments]”
“Been doing this now a month. Here's what I've learned. Cause screw the algorithm. After you accept a trip, turn OFF new ride requests. Uber WILL screw you on follow up fares. Force a sneak ding ding ding in when your deep in the drive, looking for a turn, etc. They throw crap at you, hoping you'll accept it without paying attention driving. Turn on rider ratings. Keep it above 4.8-4.9 if you're picky. My only negative reviews were from low rated riders. And the most headaches too”
“I stopped today at Oakland, California airport and those offers from Uber (during rush hours nonetheless) are beyond ridiculous!! You are pretty much driving riders from the airport to their destinations just to cover gas money! This is actually worse than slavery since slaves were fed at least...Uber drivers with these offers won't have enough money for food submitted by /u/Jealous_Wolf7183 [link] [comments]”
“I made a thread last week complaining how pickup to destination miles were missing from their new graphic making me totally indecisive on taking offers but now they are back. 👍 submitted by /u/AwarenessOk9007 [link] [comments]”
“So a customer tipped me like $26 dollars and uber paid me $2 for a 20 mile ride costing me almost an hour of time. I called and complained about it bc how in the hell is that fair?? Uber shouldn’t be relying on customers to pay wages. They basically admitted that AI sets the amounts for the trips based off tips, demand, time and distance. The resolution though?? Completely unexpected. See the screenshot. We’ll see how true this is on Monday when they send deposits out. submitted by /”

“I’ve seen hourly rates in Phoenix ride offers drop to 16.50 an hour BEFORE expenses. And that’s during peak surges (e.g. “heats”). When you get a p.o.s ride offer when there is still 20 minutes to go with your current rider… I mean really. It’s so insulting. I bet my market drivers are saying “no” what does uber do? See below submitted by /u/adrichards88 [link] [comments]”
“Same offer but it keeps getting lower and lower, popped up like the 3rd time it was for like $7.42. 😂 isn’t the fare suppose to go higher if no1 takes it? submitted by /u/TonyTehPro [link] [comments]”
