“I’m planning my wedding for 2028, I have my venue booked so the date is set and the wedding planner told me I need to book my vendors ASAP as they book up fast and far in advance (destination wedding in Malaga, Spain) especially music and photographers. I have contacted a few different options that were so quick to reply (within hours) but there’s been a small few, 2 makeup, 1 hair and one band (albeit, the ones I really want) that have not responded and it’s been a week. Is this a red flag or a”
“My partner and I currently live in England but are planning a wedding in Spain where all his relatives are from. We have the choice of the end of May bank holiday in 2028 or the beginning of June (so the week after). Both are on a Saturday and the same price and because it isn’t a bank holiday in Spain all the vendors are the same. Our plan is to pay for two nights of accommodation for our guests. On the one hand, I think people would have to take no/less annual leave if we chose the bank holida”

“I'm here with my wedding less than 30 days away and I want to run some details by you guys to see if anyone sees any glaring errors or gaps please We're having a destination wedding in Mexico and most of our guests arrive 2 days before the wedding. We (my husband and I) will arrive the day before that so we can hopefully greet guests at check in and give them their welcome gifts. For the day before the wedding we have a rehearsal planned for wedding participants and then a dinner after.”
“I'm recently engaged, and we started the beginnings of planning our wedding in 2028. We want to have our ceremony in a Catholic church and a separate reception venue. We are having trouble finding churches that will book more than a year-a year and a half in advance. Unfortunately, our home church let us know they will have major restoration work in 2028. We looked at alternative churches, and all of them told us it is too early to book for 2028. One of the churches doesn't open their 20”
“Hello my fiancé and I are planning to get married November of 2027. We are going to be in having our wedding in my fiance’s hometown in Mexico. That means my side of the family is going to be traveling. I was wondering if anyone who has done something similar could help me answer a few questions. Are we allowed to have a registry even if it’s a destination wedding? It’s only considered a destination wedding for my side of the family. And after looking at costs it isn’t a very expensive trip eith”
“hi all do you think it’s okay to have a wedding venue with 2 hours travel time? most of my guests will be families anyways. The church is like 3mins away from the venue itself. What do you think about this? submitted by /u/Sea_Mountain_9034 [link] [comments]”
“My fiancé and I are huge travelers, as are our friends and family, and we love the idea of hosting a multiple-day wedding in Europe for roughly 70 guests. We’re in search of a villa or chateau venue with roughly 30-40 rooms of accommodation on-site. We’d prefer exclusive use of the venue, so unfortunately most hotel venues have not been a good fit. We realize this is a large number of people to accommodate, therefore we’re not picky on country. Our budget is flexible. Thank you so much in advanc”
“Hello!!! I get married in 24 days in the California Bay Area and have been planning it for the last year and a half! Now that its fast approaching I'm wondering what are the small details I should be thinking about/prepping for? And what are things often forgotten that I should do/bring? Thank you so much!! submitted by /u/crystale_ [link] [comments]”
“Hi all! My partner and I are US-based but have family scattered across Europe, and we've always loved the idea of getting married there. We're just starting to explore where and don't really know where to begin, so hoping to tap into this community's experience. A few details about what we're looking for: Countries we're considering: Spain, Portugal, and Italy (open to specific regions within each — no strong opinion yet) Guest count: ~60-80 Venue: Ideally something with”
“For those of you who are from 2 different countries, living in a 3rd one, how did you decide where to have your wedding? What were the things you considered / didn't care about / compromised on when picking it? We're very torn between: - his country (great option but near an ongoing conflict zone, which would hinder 40% of the guests from traveling to it. We'd have all of his family+10 of my family+ 20 of our friends= 90ish guests total) - my country (highest attendance option for ou”
“Catholic brides — how did you handle hotel check-in when you had an early afternoon ceremony? I’m trying to figure out a logistical issue with our wedding timeline and would LOVE to hear from anyone who has dealt with something similar. Our Catholic Nuptial Mass is at 2:30 PM. I’m planning to tell guests to arrive around 2:00–2:15 PM at the absolute latest so everyone is seated before Mass begins. We’re expecting Mass to end around 3:30ish. “We are looking to book a venue by hour rather than booking a full day to save some money. This is the first wedding I've ever participated in doing and the last wedding I even went to was when I was 11. Does this day plan make sense? is it feasible? The venue we are booking as a lot of decor already displayed, so we will just need to get ready the reception tables. We have don't have any extra wedding party members other than MOH and best man. Most of getting ready time (hair and makeup)”
“My fiancé and I are a UK couple who booked a wedding venue in France for July 2028. The venue we found and fell in love with came with an in-house planner, there was no way to proceed with the venue without the this planner. Once we told the planner we wanted to go ahead, we were sent her contract, which stated it was to take place at our venue. She said the venue would follow up with their contact (this never came). We signed her contract paid our wedding planner €2,475 via Wise. She then said”
“my wedding is in Portugal on June 2, 2027. We sent out save the dates June of this year. What are everyones thoughts on an appropriate timeline for sending out the official invites, and how long should we give people to respond?? My main concern is sending out info about accommodations and transportation as many people have said they want to book, and we arent blocking rooms so I dont want the nearby accommodations to the venue to fill up. I think it would be weird to send out that info before s”
“I’m curious how others have done ceremony music for a micro wedding (about 30 ppl). It’s probably just going to be played from a phone/speaker since the venue is so small and doesn’t have an audio set up. I’m also looking for an app or something where we could have the songs fade into each other at a certain point, and also possibly “bookmark” a point in a song for the exit music so one doesn’t have to scrub through the song to get to the chorus. Not sure how feasible these ideas are for diy, but”

“So! Long story short we are having a more casual wedding/ 100 close ppl at an art center. We have no DJ but have a sound system set up with our playlists. We are very particular about our music and didn't want to pay thousands to have our playlist botched. We kno who will introduce us and all the other stuff. All our playlists are honestly fire and we are hype! (6 days away). Now we were going through the playlist and have room for 1 more song during the reception. We want a kinda unhinged h”
“I need help deciding between these 2 venues. My dream was always to get married by the ocean, but after seeing the other venue so close by being fairly affordable I have began to fall in love with it. I have not been in person to either one, and am planning to set up a tour at both venues once peak season dies down. Photos 1-5: a gorgeous mountain/garden view wedding venue Distance: 26min from home (most of our guests are located here as well) Amenities: Reception hall, Garden ceremony or Chapel”
“Our number one choice is 45 mins away from the city we live in/the hotel block area we’d prefer so guests don’t have to travel far the from the airport and enjoy the city we live in. We’ve been considering just renting a big bus so that way they don’t have to rent cars, or if they want to stay in a hotel closer to the venue they can. The venue is an inland ranch that we love and there just isn’t anything like it closer to the city. Any thoughts? submitted by /u/Vindictivebiach [link]”
“I need help with the processional song for the groomsmen/bridesmaids & party to walk down to. It’s a fairly smaller wedding so they will all walk to the same song. The processional song for the bride is an instrumental version of “Married Life” from up. Please help!! “Anyone know of any Greenhouse style wedding venues within a couple hours of Los Angeles that allow the wedding to go past midnight? Thanks! submitted by /u/rusticriver99 [link] [comments]”
“We found the venue. We love it, but the only way to make it affordable is by having it on a Thursday. Our wedding guest list is around 70 people. Other venues have even suggested we do it on a weekday since it’s a smaller wedding - they said because bar minimums and venue pricing is higher on weekends and essentially not worth a smaller guest list. I’m worried people will be upset about this decision. We probably won’t be able to have a long reception or after party because it’s on a Thursday so”
“Unfortunately for us, another couple snagged the September 2027 date we were looking at for our dream venue, and we are left with November 6 2027 as an alternative. Is this workable for an outdoor w/ tent wedding in Maryland? The venue has a manor for getting ready/catering setup/bathrooms, and a large reception tent outdoors with side flaps and space heaters which would hopefully work to keep the warmth in for reception and dancing. The ceremony is what I am more concerned about. Early November”
“Hello! Looking for some input on our small (~24 guest) intimate wedding timeline where the ceremony will be held at one location, followed by a ~15 min drive to the restaurant where the dinner reception will be held. No bridal party, just immediate family and a few friends. My main concern is the time between the ceremony ending followed by pictures and the guests travelling and arriving at the restaurant. Guests cannot arrive for dinner until 5pm. We have the photographer for 1.5 hours (from 3-”
“I’m having a small destination wedding with 19 guests. About half the guests are aged 18-30 then the other half is 50+. The current timeline is: Ceremony: 5:30-6pm Cocktail hour: 6-7pm Reception: 7-10pm Should I add an extra hour? The reception seems a little short and I can comfortably swing the cost of adding in the extra hour but I’m not too sure it’ll be worth it if my crowd is more of a moderate party crowd. submitted by /u/Routine-General3841 [link] [comments]”

“I'm getting married in October 2026 and I'm trying to figure out what to do for my social out transportation. For context, in my area, it's very common to have a party bus pick up the bridal party and couple from the ceremony and drive around to local bars during the social hour and then get dropped off at the reception for the grand entrance. (Not sure if this is the case everywhere so I wanted to clarify.) My fiancé and I originally wanted to do a limo and our second option was a p”
“Hi, I am a 2028 bride in the metro Detroit area and stuck between 2 venues. Can someone tell me which would be better in the long run? Venue 1 Pros - rental is 2500 for 8 hours - In a beautiful venue. -Comes with tables and chairs. Is surrounded by a park -would have venue to ourselves Cons - would have to get separate catering, - venue rental cutoff is 9pm with everything out by 10pm. - Would need to ask family to help with take down and set up. - Would probably only have beer and wine due to b”
“My fiancé and I have our venue locked down for next fall of 2027. The venue we went with, made to be a wedding space, logistically and practically works well for our larger (200+) wedding - however, it is VERY basic, and we have a vision for how to really do it up. This is a multicultural wedding with lots of decor from his culture being incorporated. The venue manager / on site coordinator - let’s call her Mary - was an interesting personality… mentioned having been called a bitch by vendors be”
“Getting married in Spain next year. My partner has a large family that all want to be together. My partner and I decided we did not want to get too involved in organising accommodation and transport as we have over 150 guests and some are organising their own accommodations and it is just a logistical nightmare and stressful. We have a hotel discount code for people to use if they want but apart from that leaving it up to them. I’m taking this approach as I am aware of other weddings where this”
“Does anyone have thoughts / experiences with weekday weddings either as a guest or a host? I am looking to have a medium/large wedding (120-150 guests) in NJ and the only dates that seem to be in our budget are weekdays in warm weather or a Sunday in the winter. I was originally set on a warm weather wedding, but I am afraid that people won’t turn out for a weekday. Has anyone had a weekday wedding that they can speak to? Or attended one as a guest? Thanks in advance 🩷 submitted by”
“Help! We are wanting to get the venue booked ASAP. Available dates are either first weekend in February or last weekend in April. I know weather will be warmer and probably better in April, HOWEVER, we don’t want to wait so would prefer February! Also note- we are from Missouri, so the weather on any month could be snow, rain, ice, tornado, flooding, etc 😂😂 Just need opinions to help me decide what to do! Also note- the venue has indoor and outdoor options for both the ceremony and reception &”
“We’ve researched a lot but haven’t booked anything yet - venue is in the works though! We plan to send save the dates next week once it’s booked. What needs to be on them? Date, city, our names. Anything else? We obviously need to book our vendors but what’s a good resource or checklist? The knot, Zola? Do we need a website? Our wedding will be small 40-50 people and low budget so we’re not doing anything too fancy, just trying to figure out how to get it all done. Considering hiring a planner t”
“Trying to do a 40 person wedding this year and finding most venues book out 12 to 18 months ahead even for smaller groups. The places with current availability set minimums that don't fit 40 person events. Where are people finding venues that take smaller events on shorter notice. Open to restaurants, private dining rooms, weird spaced, anything that doesn't require renting capacity for 150. submitted by /u/Ecstatic-Iron-2627 [link] [comments]”
“Our wedding requires a lot of folks to travel, due to our friends and families being spread out both across the U.S. and the world. We’ve rented a villa as our wedding venue. We’re thinking of doing a welcome party to show appreciation for folks traveling, but my partner is wanting us to do it at the villa the night prior rather than potentially paying more to have it at a restaurant/different place. I know the villa will be “transformed” the day of the wedding, but something feels like we’re ch”
“Planning for our wedding next fall. It has the potential to be smaller. There is a good number of people that will need to fly about 4.5 hrs to get to where I live and then the drive for everyone from my city is about 2.5 hrs to the town we are planning our wedding. We are planning it there because it is a bit of a destination/mountain area and we really enjoy visiting there plus love the mountain and outdoorsy vibe. I've reached out to a lot of venues in the area already and we really like”
“Hello! I am on the hunt for a cluster of holiday rentals, Airbnb's or similar to host guests for my wedding in 2028. I'm relatively open on location (as you can see) and I'd even say open as far south as NC and as far north as maine on the east coast! I was wondering if anyone has done this. I'm hoping to do a wedding weekend with most of the guests together, almost like summer camp but my crew is not super outdoorsy so can't put people in a literal summer camp. Hotels are su”
“I'm looking to get married in western Europe around the end of December and I understand that it will be the offseason and decently cold through most of Europe. Looking for any good venue recs for the winter. I'm in the early stages of planning and looking to have about a ~150 person wedding for about $100k. I don't have many specific venue criteria for now, but I do like the idea of a chateau. Assuming because of the weather we'll need an inside location for dinner and would lov”
“I know I want Brooklyn Duo “can’t help falling in love” and “shallow” to walk down the aisle to; both are piano and cello. Originally I was going to have “shallow” for the bridesmaids and “falling in love” for myself but my fiancé wants me to switch them cuz he loves shallow. “My fiancé and I are dead set on a particular venue. It’s the only one in the city that fits our vision- it’s stunning and fits perfectly in our budget. We had a meeting with the venue coordinator a few weeks back- we had been conversing via email steadily for about a week then day of when I confirmed the tour I got crickets. She had mentioned she had a busy day that day so I chalked it up to that. We show up and there’s two other couples and a dj waiting to tour the venue. We figured maybe she w”
“Our family of 4 - all adults - will be traveling to Lloret de Mar next spring for our niece’s wedding. We’d like to have a three or four day getaway as well - complicated by my daughter’s celiac disease – we will need to have gluten-free eating options. We don’t have to see the usual tourist landmarks, just be in a beautiful authentic setting, suggestions? submitted by /u/MAH118 [link] [comments]”
“Hi everyone, My fiancé and I are based in the US and are planning a destination wedding in Provence for late summer 2027. We've been researching venues for months and honestly feel a bit overwhelmed by all the beautiful options. We're expecting around 70 to 80 guests, most of whom will be traveling from the US, so we're hoping to find a château that feels authentic and elegant while still being welcoming and relaxed. Ideally we'd love a place where everyone can stay together for”
“Getting married May 2027, 150-175 guests. Total wedding budget (everything — venue, catering, rooms, photo/video, florals, music, attire, the works) is $150-175K, so I'm trying to keep venue + catering to roughly half that, leaving room for the rest of the vendor stack. What we're after: Coastal or waterfront setting, southeastern US Private/exclusive-use property — not a hotel ballroom Boutique inn or estate feel over big-resort energy On-site or nearby lodging for the majority of guest”
“Our ideal wedding is to rent a villa in Tuscany where everyone can stay on site for 2-3 nights. It would be a group of about 40 of us. Since this is a huge ask, we want to subsidize part of the trip, but are having a hard time figuring out where. Does it make the most sense to subsidize accommodation (people would pay $100-200 for all nights total) and then ensure we are covering all the meals during that time? Or does it make more sense to completely cover accommodation and people are on their”
“getting married in manhattan next september and the transport logistics are stressing me out more than anything else. ceremony in midtown, cocktail hour and reception in tribeca, most guests staying in hotels near times square. trying to figure out how to move 80 people between venues without it turning into a disaster. looked at party buses which feel a bit much for our vibe. someone suggested booking a limo service company that does wedding packages with multiple vehicles, like a sprinter for”
“Has anyone received an RSVP where a guest was allowed to bring a +1 but they listed four names in their +1’s spot? My significant other hasn’t seen these guests for 20+ years (they’re cousins), but wants to let them come because other guests are bound to decline the invite. I’m so torn. They all choose the filet dinner, increasing our budget by $300. All recommendations are welcome! submitted by /u/Impossible-Dig-2645 [link] [comments]”
“Hi everyone, looking for some advice on a transportation dilemma for our wedding. We are getting married later this year, woohoo! We have about 175 guests attending, and around 130 of them are staying at two hotel blocks in our small downtown area. The hotels are about 1 mile apart. The venue is about a 25-minute drive from the hotels. We originally planned on renting one 56-passenger charter bus. The issue is the timing: Ceremony starts at 5:00 PM Pickup would need to start around 3:45–4:00 PM”
“My fiancé and I are having a two-person destination wedding next spring at a historic European château, and I’d love some ideas from people who have had intimate weddings or photographed them! The venue itself is incredibly beautiful, so we aren’t planning to go overboard with décor. We’ll have a floral ceremony installation and bouquet, but the château and gardens honestly do most of the heavy lifting. 😂 Our day will be pretty relaxed—getting ready, first look (maybe?), ceremony, portraits aro”
“Hi!! We’re looking for a wedding venue for an Indian wedding that gives a similar feeling to an estate in Portugal or Spain in terms of outdoor space, architecture, and ambiance. Would love to host an outdoor haldi and mendhi, preferably have the cocktail hour outdoors, and the reception indoors with high ceilings. Also open to other types of venues that have more character and none of the modern grey or cool lighting. Guest count is probably going to be 300-500 guests. Would love any recommenda”
“Me (US) and my fiancé (EU) are having a destination wedding in my finances home country. The country is in the balkans and is not necessarily very tourist friendly, which is a concern for me when it comes to my large family and friends coming to visit. Our venue is about an hour outside of the capital but we intend to keep the capital which has plenty of accommodations and entertainment for our guests. Our preliminary plan includes holding mingling events such as cultural dance and food classes”
“Everyone attending our wedding lives in Ohio within an hour from the venue. Nobody has booked the rooms at the hotel that I blocked rooms off at yet so I’m not inquiring about a shuttle for guests and I don’t believe I need to (as of right now but if that changes I’ll figure that out.) My wedding party is staying at an Airbnb the night before and the night of the wedding. There’s 14 of us. We will need all the girls to head to the venue early for hair/makeup. The guys can come a couple hours aft”
“So if the venue I’m considering lets us use the venue for 12 hours for 1 day and a 1 hour rehearsal the morning before, how feasible would getting everything done in the time limit be? We wouldn’t be able to start decorating the day before unless we book the day before as well, so we’d start decorating that morning around 10am. This also means we wouldn’t be able to do a rehearsal dinner. Is it stressful trying to do everything in 12 hours? How long does it typically take to decorate? How long d”
