“sooooo much hate and love for each lol i don’t need vendor or planning help. all i need is 1) customizable rsvp (people can say what they want for plates) 2) customizable rsvp- we are doing a brunch and Friday night for out of towners ONLY. really worried about that because i…”
“Ugh sorry for the rant, but I just need to get this out. In the grand scheme of life, is this a huge deal? No. But is it irritating me? Yes 100% lol. I just cleaned up our guest list, and my fiancé is at work so I can't rant to him like normal (he has like ten messages from me…”
“We do have a little bit of time until our RSVP deadline, so I know I need to just wait. BUT Has anyone else had this happen? We are still missing about 90 rsvps (which is fine bc the deadline hasn’t passed), but we got an email from our hotel with an update on how many rooms in…”
Several posts express frustration about managing RSVPs, ranging from difficulty tracking mail-back cards to a preference for QR code options due to forgetfulness and lost responses. Concerns exist about accommodating older guests who prefer traditional methods while appealing to younger ones who favor digital solutions.

“Hi everyone, asking for help with picking a reasonable RSVP deadline for our wedding next year. A bit of context: wedding date is August 22, 2027. Fiance and I are from different states, and have been living in yet a third state for quite a…”
“We're having a ~60 person wedding this weekend. Due to some family shenanigans, we're most likely going to end up having to add a guest (plus two last minute declines that will lead to guest swaps). The floor plan meant we had some extra spaces and the venue said they can accommodate it. The thing that I'm questioning is what should I do about the place card for the added guest? Our meal is family style, so I don't have to worry about entree selection and the seating chart is alp”
“Looking for recommendations for the best customizable wedding website, specifically one with a really seamless RSVP/guest management system! We really love the look of Riley & Grey and how much more custom/elevated the websites feel compared to some of the bigger platforms. Has anyone used Riley & Grey and can speak to the RSVP and guest management side of it? Was it easy for guests to use and easy for you to manage on the back end? I feel like Zola is probably the “safe” choice because”
“I’m not sure if I’m over-exaggerating or if I even have a right to be annoyed, but… I’m getting married mid-November. We sent out our save-the-dates in January and our invitations in mid-August. Our RSVP deadline is in 14 days, and the guest list just keeps growing. Last week, my fiancé added 4 people to the guest list because he got asked if “so and so’s 20-year old kids were invited” when the invitations were clearly addressed only to the parents. These are kids that he hasn’t even seen in at”
“sent out wedding invitations three weeks ago and tracking who has responded, who has not, meal choices, and dietary restrictions is already becoming overwhelming and we still have six weeks until the deadline using a spreadsheet currently but it requires manual updating every time something comes in and i am terrified of losing track of something important. is there a better way people have found to manage this submitted by /u/Safe_Building_9924 [link] [comments]”
“My wedding is in 12 days and I've had at least 14 people drop out. Invoices have been paid, rentals have been paid, food has been paid. The seating chart has been made and name cards have been hand cut and printed out by me. Most of the people never reached out to me directly and I had to find out from another family member. All of these people RSVPd yes to my wedding. At this point I will have under 40 people attending and I paid for 60 meals, alcohol, snacks, drinks, seating etc. I feel li”
“Our RSVP date was set at Sept 1, which was a little early given our wedding is in Mid October. I have invited 170ish and I have 45 people who have yet to RSVP! I don’t want to reach out to some of them, like message received, but my partner disagrees with this. Why wouldn’t you just say no! You’re doing us a favor. Ugh. submitted by /u/Affectionate-Meal372 [link] [comments]”
“Hi everyone! I (29F) am ~3 months away from wedding weekend. Have spent months deciding what type of wedding seating chart vibe we want and landed on post cards & places. The idea is the main seating chart sign will say “our favorite people & our favorite places” and then list out major cities we’ve traveled to with a table filled with our fave people. On ever persons (no assigned seating) plate, there will ideally be an authentic, original, hand painted or NO-AI drawn/artsy post card of”

I just cleaned up our guest list, and my fiancé is at work so I can't rant to him like normal (he has like ten messages from me which will probably be amusing for both of us later cause I was pretty annoyed). I get not RSVPing. I can understand forgetting, or needing a reminder. I can understand waiting until literally the grace period after th”
Hi all! We want very very simple RSVP page that just has RSVP, FAQ and the timeline. Nothing else. So since we can hide a lot of pages on Withjoy, I think…
“I know this is very type A, but hear me out! We're going through our original guest list and trying to understand the potential acceptance rate we can expect from guests based on their relationship tier and whether or not they're out of state. Wedding in Nebraska, half the guest list from Chicago. The estimates I put together are below... Tier Out of State Acceptance Rate A No 98% A Yes 95% B No 85% B Yes 80% C No 75% C Yes 65% D No 70% D Yes 60% E No 60% E Yes 40% Tier definitions A: Fa”
“Just a venting post: I’m having a hard time not being sad over my RSVP situation. We invited about 135 and it looks like we’ll end up with a little more than 100 in attendance. The wedding is quite far for most of our family/friends and we decided on a child free wedding which meant some people can’t make it (completely understandable). I’m just feeling bummed because I feel like that is such a large percentage to RSVP ‘no’ and I can’t keep myself from going down the social media comparison rabb”
“Working on an invitation for a Christmas wedding. Was playing around in Canva. What do you think? Should I do the Details & RSVP cards the same? Or a different color? submitted by /u/Longjumping_Bee_4446 [link] [comments]”
“I wonder how well this works in practice though, especially for weddings and social events. these days people rarely stay fixed to their assigned seats for very long. they are drinking, chit-chatting, moving around here and there between tables with their glases, catching up with different groups, etc. You might carefully make sure two people aren't seated together, but 20 minutes later they could end up standing next to each other at the bar anyway. .....but I can see it working better for”
“I got invited to two weddings this year where RSVPS ended up in my spam and i didn’t see them until i randomly checked spam weeks later. Text ur guests when u send out invites so they know to look for them!!!! Edit to add: one ended up the “Promotions” folder on gmail submitted by /u/Dry-Explanation-4182 [link] [comments]”

We are still missing about 90 rsvps (which is fine bc the deadline hasn’t passed), but we got an email from our hotel with an update on how many rooms in our block have been booked and who booked them. Multiple people who booked rooms haven’t rsvp-ed yet! I’m just so confused how you book hotel accommodations but don’t tell us you’re coming! And since they know they are co”
“I feel like I’m going crazy. We are about a week out from our final rsvp deadline and we are still missing RSVP’s from half of our guests. 4 of which are in the bridal party. My fiancé thinks I’m being too harsh on family and the remaining bridal party for not RSVPing yet and he thinks we should just do it ourselves but guests need to choose their meal and then there are fun questions on there. It’s just exhausting and I’m feeling discouraged that I am having to chase down all these ADULTS in th”
“So we are ordering our invites and we got to the RSVP cards. In all honesty, as a 30 year old, I have an easier time with a QR code RSVP. Just recently we got an invite with a mail-back RSVP. I misplaced it, forgot about it, and the bride had to text us because we missed the RSVP date. Now that it is our wedding, we are trying to figure out if we do the traditional RSVP for our technology challenged folks (50's+) and hope the younger folks will mail it back, or do the QR code. OR do we do bo”
