“I just wanted to bring awareness to a recurring issue on YouTube. I noticed a bot commenting on a Roblox video featuring an explicit profile picture. Since Roblox content mainly targets younger audiences, it’s concerning how these accounts bypass automated detection filters…”
“So recently I found out Restricted mode was turned back on, and I can't turn it back off now. Originally, when I was 13, I had the chance to turn it back off, but now, 3 years later, it has been turned back on again, and I can't turn it off. Now I don't know if my parents turned…”
“That's my problem with the same function here on Reddit. I try to choose "don't show", but I keep getting AI slop. It also seems they removed the block function related the option.”
Users repeatedly see YouTube suggestions they marked as 'not interested' and find it difficult to remove them. Some are concerned about inappropriate content appearing due to a lack of age restrictions, while others notice unusual comment prioritization.

“I believe you. But I just dont want these reccomendations and for some reason the not interested option doesnt come up for me [re: My asshole 8yo nephew keeps using my YouTube account, how can I get these disturbing videos to stop coming up?]”

Since Roblox content mainly targets younger audiences, it’s concerning how these accounts bypass automated detection filters. Make sure to report these profiles whenever you spot them to keep the comment sections safer for kids. submitted by /u/VoidAnna [link] [comments]”
“I've only seen the alternate suggestions box appear once offering to broaden the selections when the algorithm is getting stale? Is there a command for that? submitted by /u/Loninappleton25 [link] [comments]”
“Does anybody remember like ten years ago when YouTube videos had age ratings like TV shows? Some old videos still feature their age rating, like this one I saw on my sidebar. Why hasn't YouTube gotten rid of them? They're an old ass feature on this site, you'd think they'd all be removed. Their UI is updated along with the rest of the site, which is something I just don't get. Why spend money on updating UI for an ancient feature that is pretty much useless? Also, I'm pre”

Originally, when I was 13, I had the chance to turn it back off, but now, 3 years later, it has been turned back on again, and I can't turn it off. Now I don't know if my parents turned it on or if YouTube did. If YouTube did, can anyone explain to me why they did it? submitted by /u/P-25 [link] [comments]”
“Exactly. Heck the restriction is also affecting videos marked “made for kids”, too! I remember scrolling through the various kidfluencers on a kids Shorts feed I got while on a MFK video, and BOOM! I was hit by that dreaded “please sign in” message mid-scroll.”
“So for the past few months I have been dealing with content for kids and how can I remove kids content. I didnt let a kid get my phone or search up kids content. submitted by /u/BisonDear2460 [link] [comments]”
“So i seen so many kids content and I don't like kids content since its cringe and how can I remove kids content from appearing in my recommendations? submitted by /u/BisonDear2460 [link] [comments]”

“Any YT videos or articles covering this topic are at least a year old, and from what I can tell Google now only allows for age-based parental controls (on an account I manage through Google Family Link), and does not provide for a whitelist or "approved content only" option anymore. God forbid we allow parents to decide what their own kids should have access to. Am I missing something? Is it just buried deeper in the settings than I've been able to find? submitted by /u”
“For anyone confused and covering the comments from the insults I wanna see, these words such as “anti viral or fix mojang bedrock” are glitched in youtubes algorithm making them top comment no matter like count or age of comment. It doesn’t matter it will always 100% be top comment. This makes bots and kids with no friends try to get attention or “”””””ragebait””””” by typing this shit. Make multiple alts and spam report them for spamming and they should get banned.”
“I haven't searched anything related to kids content but this movie appeared and how can I remove kids content from appearing from my account? submitted by /u/BisonDear2460 [link] [comments]”

“Hey :) I've noticed sometimes Youtube shows "This video maybe inappropriate for some users" but there are no option to get passed that. I am logged in, my age is verified, I am 47 years old. It wasn't always like that, there used to be an option to go on, but I am just stuck with that message. Does anyone have a solution for this? Thanks! submitted by /u/jaffasplaffa [link] [comments]”
“I keep getting his community page posts where people just posting random aah spongebob screenshots, its been like 3-6 months. I even blocked him but still seeing these damn screenshots every single day, help me. submitted by /u/FATbrainsk [link] [comments]”
“Still haven’t seen any of those. Y’all are watching Minecraft or Roblox videos I’m assuming? I’d check one, but YouTube will think I’m interested in that. Edit: this weird ass op is obsessed with hating Princess Diana. How random and bizarre.”
Yeah, but no kids etc. So the earlier comment is still wrong.
“Genuinely curious as to why this is. I see shorts posted by what appear to be 7-10 year olds in my feed. Its disgusting submitted by /u/SeaCustard3 [link] [comments]”
“lately ive been noticing these borderline NSFW thumbnails on seemingly innocent vids. Anyone else seeing this too? submitted by /u/Icy-Breadfruit-8581 [link] [comments]”
