“Gonna be the outlier and say I love this UI! Finally I can scroll comments without having to open the video in Picture in Picture mode. Ultimately I think though the best solution is to add to that right sidebar a toggle between recommended and comments”

“it isn’t removed.. they moved it to the more options section of the video player settings. Guess because it is a turn ON and forget about it option.”

“As of today the option to disable autoplay appears to be entirely gone, as far as I can tell. Why? "Because fuck you that's why, consume more videos." ~Youtube probably. Anyway I hate this, so I asked an AI to write this simple userscript for me. It just pauses the video before it finishes as a workaround to prevent the autoplay from triggering at the end of the video. You just need Greasemonkey or a similar userscript manager to install it. I don't know if this is the best/mos”

Or at least for now, cause everytime I want to open comments, I just click on save and now have to do extra steps to remove it from playlists.
