“I just replaced the print head on my kobra 3 and it started making this sound. It prints fine but the sound is so annoying. Any clue what might cause it? I literally unboxed the print head and put it on. No messing with it at all”

“My printer started making this sound after 22 print hours and 750grams of pla. Im very very new so I have no idea about anything. Printer is a P1S and it still works perfectly fine just a issue Im concerned about”

“I only noticed it after an overnight print. When I came into the room, took the finished model off the bed, and started another print, this high-pitched noise immediately appeared. It sounds almost like the noise you hear inside an airplane. It definitely wasn't like this before. PETG printing was generally very quiet on this printer, I could even sleep in the same room with it and spend the whole day there without headphones. Now this very audible high-frequency noise is ruining everything.”

“I was wondering how many in the community use vibration dampening systems for their printers, I have a K2 Pro and am considering them. submitted by /u/bubba4421 [link] [comments]”

“Hi, I just got this A1 mini a couple of days ago. While I am printing this beautiful Japanese pattern coaster, I notice the printer head makes this clicky noise on repeated short patterns. Is this a defect? Is there any way I can fix this? Thank you!! submitted by /u/snguy24 [link] [comments]”

“Hey everyone! Yesterday I heard a rattling sound coming from the printer (Anycubic Mega X) while I was getting ready to print, I turned it off while I went to get a flashlight to check it out, but when I turned it back on again it looked and sounded fine, and everything printed normally. I also checked on it periodically while it was printing, and it was uneventful. I got ready to print another thing today and it happened again, and I was able to get a video of an internal fan sputtering. I assu”

“Im using a ender 3v2, printing brand new dry PLA at 215°c, at 50mm/s, using CuraSlicer, i had a print fail during the night where i got a clog, i cleaned the clog, changed the nozzle for a brand new one, but now my extruder is making those tension noises, i even disassembled the arm cleaned the gears in case of any PLA particles having gotten stuck due to it chewing on the fillament, lubricated it and put it back and the noise still continues. What could it be? submitted by /u/joaoDR”

“Hi everyone, I’m having a strange issue with my Creality CR-6 SE, and I can’t figure out what’s causing it. The printer is equipped with the official Creality Silent Board . Here’s what’s happening: Moving the X-axis by itself is smooth and very quiet. Moving the Y-axis by itself is also smooth and quiet. However, whenever the printer performs a diagonal move (X and Y moving at the same time), it suddenly becomes much louder. The sound doesn’t seem like grinding or skipping steps. It sounds more”

“You can even see the vibration on the first big of filament it prints out. It only started doing this last week, I've ignored it because I haven't printed anything since, until today. Is there a way to fix this? submitted by /u/ncn_dog [link] [comments]”

“I can hear the sound is coming from the tool head, I believe from the linear rail carriage or something connected to it. The printer I can feel it vibrates at the same frequency of the sound, so it is something mechanical. No part of the printer other than the the tool head is producing this sound, the motors, the belt, all the pulleys, no sound from any of that. I checked for possible Z misalignment of the belt, but I can't see any at naked eye. I personally greased the bearings of the line”

“Iterating over a 3d printed PCB for development for my next project. Few things left before I finally settle on a dev pcb then wiring. But is looking promising submitted by /u/aamat09 [link] [comments]”
