“He and my kuhlis, are fed by an automatic feeder at night. He recently became very round more active and more exposed then usual. Don't see any problems yet, he first float or anything, and can dig himself in the sand if he wants to. Very clumsy, but he was clumsy to begin with. submitted by /u/unloder [link] [comments]”
“edit ; concensus is, that those are Panda Garra , not flying foxes. They are in the tank for about a week and seemed rather Happy, this morning I noticed the discoloration in one of them. It appears to not be sick but I wonder if this could be sex-related since I don't know the gender of them submitted by /u/PullMull [link] [comments]”

“Ive had this black neon tetra for over a year now and he’s always been on the chunkier side. After I added several new black neon tetra friends, he’s gotten even fatter. I don’t usually see him actively eating a whole lot even from the start and when he does, it’s in normal portions I think. Is he a she? And is she pregnant if anything? Or constipated? submitted by /u/Every-Okra5121 [link] [comments]”
“Just wanted to show people how much my little dalmatian molly changed since I got her 😄. She went from half/half to completely black! A couple weeks after I brought her home and introduced her to the tank, she had babies! The last picture is the one baby I decided to keep, swimming next to mama. submitted by /u/Long-Pay-9743 [link] [comments]”
“Over the past two days my betta has been lethargic and spends a lot of time curled up on the bottom. The only recent changes were the addition of some neocaridina shrimp which are not new to the tank. The shrimp were net transferred into the tank but is there any chance they gave him something? Parameters are fine submitted by /u/MMMoneyshottt [link] [comments]”
“Neon tetra with a black growth on his lip. I have a 20 gal high with more neons in there. He’s the only one with the growth. His color isn’t good either but it could be due to the fact I took him out and away from his fish mates. Also I am saying he but not really sure if he is a he… lol. I have a heater at 78 F and a sponge filter. Lots of live plants and driftwood, sand for substrate and nothing else. I have 9 more neons, 6 harlequins and 2 dwarf gouramis. I do 10-15 percent water changed week”

“I got these shrimps a month and a half ago (first time shramp keeper) and this morning I woke up to this 😭 please tell me it’s eggs I don’t want my lil guy to die submitted by /u/the_greatwhodini [link] [comments]”
“I’ve had him for about 2 months. He had a few small nicks on his caudal fin and I noticed it looks..kind of ragged this morning when I went to feed, but his dorsal and anal fins have always looked somewhat curly like this. I’m trying to figure out whether this looks like early fin rot or just his normal fin shape plus mechanical damage. He’s in a 10 gallon tank with sand substrate and driftwood right now. I’m saving up to add live plants. The tank has been established for about a year and a half”

Great swimming, no appetite right now but he's only been in there for a day and a half. Skittish guy (understandably LOL) I have to in fish cycle with him 😩 I only have an established betta tank and a brackish tank with 1.005 sg. Plus he'd eat my goby in that tank. Anyway I wanted to show”
“All of the tetras in my tank are 4+ years old. They’re started to slowly pass away one by one but this guys looks off. Is this old age or is something else going on? Picture of another healthy black phantom tetras for reference submitted by /u/mysticpancake420 [link] [comments]”
“Ive got 9 guppies, 3 prawns and a pleco. I initially thought these were baby prawns but its 2 days later and I'm starting to worry about nymph. “Hello, I got 8 of these guys a little over two weeks ago. All the others seems to be much larger then two of them. One is pale in color, should I be worried that he’s stressed, young or not eating enough? submitted by /u/Fuz090 [link] [comments]”
“So I got this yo-yo loach from PetCo because he was all alone and I needed a bottom feeder. My roommate says he thinks it’s stressed but I actually think it means he’s comfortable. Because the PetCo tank was way shittier and he was moving much slower. submitted by /u/Maleficent-Toe1374 [link] [comments]”
“I know this might sound like a really stupid question, but... a breeder ended up with some deformed Ramirezi fry (they shared a video of them); the fish have no fins. The breeder is trying to decide whether or not to let them die. Personally, I would never do that, since the only issue is the lack of fins. Anyway, I’m wondering: if the breeder decides to cull them, could I take just one and keep it by itself in my small, heavily planted 15-liter tank? Or would it be better for it to just die? I”

“i only have 2 mollies (i know i need to get more i am planning on it) but one seems to have a dark patch at the back of the abdomen and is losing weight compared to my other molly , they have also suddenly started hiding more often at the back of the tank when they used to be happy and explore often , the water paramaters are almost no nitrates (as i have a strong filter and loads of live plants) and the temp is around 24 and the ph is 7.5 , i also have cpds and pygmy corydoras , the first two p”
“Recently they started acting like this. They will swim in the open water all day, and night as well. Silver vetsions are still shy, but these got even more active as I add more of them. Now just 6 kuhlis in the 150gal tank. Are they stressed? Are they feeling secure and happily enjoying the tank? submitted by /u/MissionPlantedTank [link] [comments]”
“My golden platy fry are 5 days old now. I'm housing them with the adults since I only have one tank. Will they be fine? submitted by /u/GimPico [link] [comments]”
“Is this all because of the dark background and black sand? My tetra have a darker red than everyone else’s I see. Also, are they too fat? Am I overfeeding? submitted by /u/Bapholist [link] [comments]”
“im new to the aquarium community but i just found one of my long fin zebra danios today belly up and I was just wondering if anyone could give me any ideas why :( pH 8.0, no ammonia, nitrates, or nitrites.. my temp stays between 74-78 depending on the day. his little belly looked bloated so im not sure if he ate something? Him and the other 7 were also from petco so maybe a bad batch? I've had them for about a week now. I also took pics of the other guys to see if you guys see something wron”
“I got 7 danios from Petco around 4 days ago. One passed after the first night. The others seem to be doing fine, except for this one. From the start, maybe even in the display tanks, it was isolating itself from other zebras and hid near the back corner of the tank. Today, I found it between the roots of a couple java fern, not moving, just respirating. I initially thought it was dead, so I went to take it out with aquarium tweezers, and it swam away. Now it just swims in circles in one area. No”
“Hey everyone, I could really use some collective wisdom here. I’ve noticed some concerning symptoms on a few of my Pearl Danios (CPDs) and I'm struggling to get a clear diagnosis. Here is what's going on (see pictures): 1 (Blue Circle): This fish is heavily bloated/swollen, and the scales are clearly sticking out (pineconing). 2 (Red Circle): This one has strange blisters forming on its scales. Surprisingly, it's still quite active and eating normally. 3 (Yellow Circle): This fish ha”
“i just noticed a few white dots or particles attached to my rummy nose, its eating and swimming as normal and looks to be healthy besides the white dots. It didn’t have them before. (apologies for the blurry low res pic, tetras are so hard to get a picture of) If anyone knows what this is and what i should do, please let me know, thank you submitted by /u/squadron1999 [link] [comments]”

“Hi all! I just got a few more ember tetras to up the numbers in my 12 gal tank. When I got a closer look at this one, he looks a bit different than my other ember tetras - seems to have some black bars on his side. Wondering if he's just sick (he is missing an eye already) or if it is a different species of tetra? Here's a crappy photo too 😅 If a different species, is it one that can cohabitate with pygmy corys, embers, and neocaridina in a 12 gal? I'm not that familiar with differe”
“Hi! So I have had this cardinal tetra that looks gravid. It has been this way for months. Please help idk what’s up with it. I am also including a photo of my substrate, idk what’s that brown stuff is and how can I get rid of it? submitted by /u/That-Fun7165 [link] [comments]”
“Just noticed these 3 white, 1 brownish specks on my killifish's tail and not sure if it's ich, epistylis, or something else like fish lice?? They appear a bit raised, not flat, but it doesn't appear to be irritating it. At first, I thought it might be a freshwater limpet as there are some in this tank, but they've never clung onto fish like this. Should I be treating it with Kanaplex and aquarium salt? Or wait to see how it progresses? submitted by /u/EternalSighss [l”
“Hi everyone, one of my Danios is swollen and has a bulging eye. Help! Hi! I noticed that one of my Danios has a noticeably swollen belly, and one of its eyes is also bulging. My other Danios seem completely fine and have normal-looking bellies. I feed my fish the appropriate amount twice a day, and I don’t feed them every Wednesday as part of my routine. I’m wondering what could be causing this, since the other Danios don’t seem to have the same issue. There are also several Danios in the tank t”
“Any thoughts on these black spots on one of my Colombian tetras? He/she is not fully grown yet, about 5cm in length. I've had them for a year. It started with the dark marking on the left front and the elongated one on the right hind a month or two ago, and they got more noticable over time. Then the spot under its mouth in the right side and the line on the left hind appeared, and today I'm noticing more small black marks showed up. None of the other tetras in the school have these spot”
“Acquired 6 zebra and 6 leopard danios from my LFS on Saturday, added to my 105L/27G planted tank, lost one randomly on Sunday. Woke up to another dead yesterday, another one rapidly deteriorated and died later that day, now it looks like im gonna lose another Initially it looked like all the deceased were female, and this morning I noticed some aggressive courting behaviour (IE, chasing) before the light came on. I wondered about maybe my male/female ratio being off and the females getting haras”
“I have 4 molly fish and the black one over the last few days has got me worried! She is hardly swimming just floating across the gravel at the bottom of the tank , still eating ok- up until yesterday she would swim up to eat before floating back down but today kist waited for the food to sink and then ate it. The other fish are leaving her alone mostly and seem healthy. I’ve tested my water and there are no concerns with ammonia, nitrites, nitrates etc . I can hardly find her half the time as sh”

“Hey all, Please see attached pictures of my beta, looks like the gills on one side are coming up. Has been getting slowly worse over the course of the last couple months. Otherwise normal behaviour and eating well. Any ideas? And if so treatment? submitted by /u/YNWA_LIV [link] [comments]”
“I am on the third generation of celestial pearl danio in my tank. I don’t breed them on purpose, they just keep going at it. Lots of hiding spots in the tank, densely planted, which probably accounts for the high survival rate. I’m starting to notice genetic issues. In the latest generation I have one with a deformed spine and a swim bladder issue… he has to constantly fight to stay afloat. I’ve observed him closely - he isn’t bullied, and he is able to get a meal at feeding time. But damn… it l”
“Today i saw my cherry barb with a swollen belly and resting in a corner of the tank where the filter is. Although she is eating and swimming normally but i dont know if this is alarming submitted by /u/iamrishirajgupta [link] [comments]”
“Noticed my blue shrimp has eggs, my fist blue with eggs, my reds have bread before so pretty sure it is eggs. But noticed something sticking out her side, so asking for more experienced keepers to check if it is a case of new mom not quite got a grip on all eggs yet, or if its an infection I need to try catch her before it spreads. submitted by /u/Bitter_Escape7583 [link] [comments]”
“My clownfish has a puffy eyeball, is he dying? Sick? Will the other fish get like this? Is he going to lose the eye? I'm honestly concerned for Buddy because I've had him for quite some time. Any feedback or help would be appreciated. submitted by /u/FirmChef6234 [link] [comments]”
“I recently noticed all these spots and red veins on my goldfish. Is this a bacterial infection? The large red spot may be an injury from getting stuck behind a terracotta pot but I didn’t see it happen so it’s just a guess. He is in a 200 litre tank with one other goldfish (unaffected) and all the water parameters are healthy. I had a cycle crash three months ago from over feeding bad quality fish flakes but the tank has been stable for a month after changing to pellets, doing water changes and”
“Does anyone know what my Fish has? One side is pale and does have red spots, the other side looks better but he still looks odd compared to the other. The other Zebra Danios do not have this Problem. submitted by /u/Individual_Web_6054 [link] [comments]”

“Is there something wrong with my cherry barb female? I got them not so long ago, i just noticed today that she seemed a bit off. Is this normal behavior? I kind of see something on her gills or mouth maybe? submitted by /u/Entire_Bed877 [link] [comments]”
“I have a fairly new tank set up for a rescued betta, which is in-fish cycle with previously used filter media and substrate. I noticed these little black specks popping up, but recently i’ve seen significantly more, and unless I’m seeing things- i think they’re alive? I have a beta fish, 1 nerite snail, anubis, java fern, and another plant i unfortunately cannot remember the name of. i’ve been struggling with some plants but these specks seem to be focused in 1 area so far (where I saw the first”
