“My guess is that something they were using to clean the interior dripped onto the seat and they didn't notice it. It's dried there, which is why it feels and looks different than the surrounding area. I would start really gentle. Just a soft towel and some warm water. If that…”

Please note that whatever the recommendation you have would either need to be found via Amazon, or from a basic auto store (AutoZone, O'Reilly's etc) — preferably something I can pick up from an auto store, if possible. “I bought some used seats that are in decent condition except for this unknown black substance stuck to the leather. You can kind scrape it off with your nail if you try but it’s stuck on pretty well. What’s the best way to try and remove it? I have a leatherique kit I bought for another project that I’m testing out but it requires a lot of sit time for the oil to soak in. submitted by /u/Positive_Opposite885 [link] [comments]”
“Looks lick water or soap residue. I would clean the seats again and use a good extractor”
“This white residue appeared on the back seats of my 2016 dodge charger. I initially thought it was sweat stains or salt. I tried cleaning it with Stinger fabric cleaner but it seemed to make it worse and is now much more visible. I’m assuming it’s some type of mold given that the front area in the first photo is a bit greenish/brown but idk how because I keep the interior dry and there are no apparent leaks in the area. Can anyone help me find something that can clean it? I’ve tried meguiars leather detailer, griots interior cleaner, and 70% isopropyl alcohol. Nothing has even faded these marks and it’s driving me crazy cause the rest of the car is spottless!! submitted by /u/Agile_Bet4432 [link] [comments]”
“A stick of deodorant melted on my passenger seat. I cleaned it with interior detail whips, then I hit it with a steamer with a microfiber rag on the end. It looked awesome at first but once it dried it looks like it does in this pic. Any idea what to use to remove this stain? submitted by /u/ImHoldingBabies [link] [comments]”
“I need help cleaning and removing this, I tried cleaning it with a leather cleaner but after a few days it goes back, I also tried brushing it with a soft toothbrush but it also comes back after 2 days. I heard vinegar diluted with water at 50/50 works but will it ruin the color of the leather seats? I need help submitted by /u/Kryptonaaayt [link] [comments]”

“Last year, I was postpartum and pumping on my way to and from work. Once, a bunch leaked out in my cooler bag and got all on the seat. I didn’t realize until I got home 😭. It drives me crazy everyday!! Please help me get it out. I’ve tried my green machine but it didn’t really do anything. Subaru if that matters :) submitted by /u/Dependent_Ad2776 [link] [comments]”
“Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any advice for getting these stains out of the fabric seats of my car. They get stained super easily, and even water spilling on them causes a stain. I’ve tried carpet cleaning machines and all they do is create more stains from the water. Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/knottystring [link] [comments]”
“A small piece of gum was stuck to the back of my jeans and some got transferred to my drivers seat, the bolstered edge. I got most of it off by scraping it gently and with scotch tape, now there is gum shadow, probably in the threads of fabric. Any tips? Thanks in advance. submitted by /u/Specialist_Target133 [link] [comments]”
“my car fabric seat currently has this weird stains on it, I tried brushing it off with some products I got on Amazon, but Is not really going away. The stains were of water, which was a little weird. Any suggestions? submitted by /u/Juicecaboose46 [link] [comments]”
“Leather conditioner won't do anything to a learher covered in a impermeable layer like most car seats.”
“Baby oil can breakdown that adhesive and can clean it up pretty well. After I would then wash and then condition with your leather product of choice. Quick edit: do not just leave baby oil on it. Use it to get the residue off then clean it off if I wasn’t clear. Then do some conditioning.”
“Long story short, I folded my back seat down while forgetting there was a lint roller back there. It’s been hot lately and the heat caused the sticky residue from the roller to melt and get all over my seat. What would you suggest using to get this off with without ruining the seat material? It is on there pretty good. submitted by /u/See_Squared_ [link] [comments]”
