“I have a cat that I rescued from the mountains last week and took him to the vet for his first vet visit yesterday. They did an exam, lab draw, three vaccines including rabies and gave me the flea medicine which I have yet to put on him. He slept yesterday and a little less today but still drowsy. He’s able to walk around, but he’s limping on his left back leg where they put one of the vaccines. I don’t know which one. He has not urinated since last night. I have not seen him drinking or eating,”

“Hello, my 5 month old cat was spayed yesterday and everything looked fine, but tonight I noticed blood around the sight of the incision. I can’t see if any of the sutures are ripped and it looks like it’s stopped, but I’m worried something has happened. She’s energetic and eating but still. Any advice? Species: cat Sex: female Breed: domestic shorthair Body weight: 7.9lbs History: unknown first round of vaccinations before owned, rabies shot same day as spay: 9/23/26 Clinical signs: blood around”
“6lb spayed indoor female kitten, rabies vaccine last month. Two weeks ago I noticed a hard, rubbery moveable lump on her upper right leg. Last Friday it ended up opening up to a head and draining out fluid, pus and blood. Finally was able to see a vet today. The wound scabs over, swells, then re opens and drains again and it goes on like a cycle. Took her to the vet because i assumed this was an abcess. The vet scared me by saying the rabies vaccine did this. Gave her a 2wk convenia antibotic sh”

He got bloodwork done, and a few enemas to see of the stool would soften (it didn't). After the results of his bloodwork, everything was fine for anesthesia (he was 3,75kg at the time), so he did go under and had his feces removed, and all went well. Now, the problem started a 2 weeks ago when I showed signs of impaction once again (”
“I have an 11 year old male cat, doing mostly okay health-wise except he just used the litter box and there was clearly blood in his feces. I tried to check his behind to see if there was blood on him and there was a tiny bit but it must've come from inside his intestines or something which is really freaking me out. About a month or so ago, all 3 of my cats were having digestive issues so I brought my oldest (the one this post is about) in to our local clinic along with a stool sample and my”
“I took my 10 year old cat to the emergency vet last night because he was struggling to pee and only blood came out I couldn’t bare to watch him struggle til the morning. They gave him two injections one of loxicom and convenia I’m not sure if I spelt them right i can’t read the slip well. They also had a feel over him and said that he has an unconfirmed mass in his stomach it could just of been constipation but he wants to do an ultrasound to check. I feel so bad I never took him before to get c”
“I called the emergency vet and they said I could bring her tonight or wait until the morning to go to my regular vet, I’m just looking for additional confirmation or difference of opinion. My 2 year old female cat has visited the litter box 4 times since I got home, 2 hours ago. The last 2 times, I know she only produced tiny (size of a quarter or dime) pee clumps. However, when I cleaned the litter box, when I got home, there was a normal amount of pee. She’s acting normal and I think she’s eat”
“I took my cat to urgent care on August 28th, he was diagnosed with a ruptured anal gland. The vet cleaned the area, prescribed meds and sent us home. He’s been taking meds and ointment twice daily and wearing a cone. The wound still looks open despite being a week out, should I bring him back to urgent care for a follow up based on the pics below? [Timeline pics]( https://imgur.com/a/FIrMAaR ). The site looks redder than normal on 9/6 because I just wiped some hair and litter away from the wound”
“we care for a senior (male, 14 YO, neutered) stray cat that has been having health struggles recently. he just recently got over a URI and got a course of dewormer, and received IV fluids and an antibiotic shot just under a month ago. he does not live at the house i reside at, and i'm currently at work so unable to take him to a vet right this moment. a family member checked on him today and sent a video of a large, open (about 1-1.5 inches) wound on his front elbow that looks like an absces”
“Hello everyone, I really need your help and advice regarding a critical situation with my cats. Back in July, my first cat started passing bright red blood in his stool. I took him to the only available vet in our area, but he just gave him an injection without conducting a proper physical exam. Shortly after, the cat's stool turned black, his condition gradually deteriorated, and he unfortunately passed away. Now, for over a month, all his siblings are exhibiting similar symptoms: they are”
“I got my cat a booster and rabies vaccination yesterday and everything was normal, he just slept for a few hours and acted normally. But today he vomitted a brown liquid twice in the same hour and all the vet shops are closed today and tomorrow, can he last another day or is there anything I can do at home to make him better? Hes had other vaccines before this one and has never once thrown up or been sick just a mild tiredness for a few hours. submitted by /u/vit1171 [link] [co”
“Hi everyone, My 1.5 year old female, spayed, indoor cat has recently had blood on her anus after going number 2 with blood on her stool - not inside. Her routine is that she goes every other day since we've gotten her and she never has had a problem from what we have seen. She is on a 90% wet food diet with added water. We noticed that the blood is fresh rather than dark so we are now wondering if her stool is just too hard for her to pass since she goes every othrr day. She is stil”
“Hi vets, please help concerning cat mom here. My new baby, female 4, neutered, has been pooping blood. Not too bright red, more like rasberry jam. Her poop has been constantly regular and soft. Sometimes too soft i think (like butter cream when you just finish whipping it). She eating and acting normal, deworm and vaccinated. She is outdoor indoor and she is a little bit stress as my old cat is jealous. We give her dry and wet food. I booked a vet visit but it is not until Setp (almost there) bu”
“Pretty much what title says. Took our 14 year old in for some work and ended up getting him on IV drip for 3 days. While he was there they noticed his poop was compacted and backed up which they cleared. We are 24 hours since picking him up, he's eaten lots of food and water and acted completely normal, he has been relaxing and resting due to the IV and tests. Curious what ideas are out there. Hes gone to his litter box to pee and back, no groaning or trying to poo. submitted by”
“I caught his immediate post-poop. It’s my first foster, 12 weeks old. A cute, tiny, scared thing. I’ve had him for 24h. How concerned should I be? https://imgur.com/a/zIqZkUw submitted by /u/Legitimate-Moment832 [link] [comments]”
“female, calico, 4 month, spayed, acting normal, she was dewormed before we adopted her but might be that, no vet visit. we recently moved into my new apartment and we noticed her butt would have some poop on it so we gave it a wipe. today i went to check after today’s poop and saw a dot of red blood on her opening. I scooped and there was red on the litter. her stool is normal and she is acting completely normal. I searched and am receiving mixed advice. some say not to worry and some say to tak”
“Hello! About a month ago, my cat was shaved by my vet office to biopsy her skin and check blemishes (ended up just being mild allergies). A few days later, I noticed a nasty looking spot on her. I caught her licking it. I put a soft cone on her and it began to heal. Then, the little troublemaker got it off and licked the scab off. It’s been a week or so since then and this is how it looks. No pus or bad smell. It looks ugly, but I wonder if it’s just because it’s a scab. I heard that it looks wo”
“I have a 3 year old domestic shorthair cat that went to the vet 4 weeks ago to get his rabies vaccine, and I noticed just now that he has a small lump on his right thigh. I know injection site sarcoma is super low risk, but should I take him back to the vet now to get it checked out or should I wait and see if it resolves over the next two months? submitted by /u/Agreeable_Pangolin56 [link] [comments]”
“Hello, my cat Primrose is 3yo old, she always struggled with constipation to the point of bleeding from the anus. We have changed her diet twice on our vet's advice to a higher fiber option, and we have always seen great resulta. Her poops have been perfect for months. Suddenly, in the last few days, she started pooping almost twice a day. We didn't think much of it because the color and consistency were excellent, but today, after pooping, we noticed fresh blood at her anus. We are goin”
“Hi everyone, hoping for some advice. Three weeks ago I took my 11-month-old cat to the vet. She's always been nervous around new people and animals, and the moment she saw the vet — still in her carrier — she panicked and went into shock (the vet's word). Her back legs gave out from fear. A sedative brought the feeling back, but we couldn't do the exam, so I brought her home. The vet said to give her a day or two. It's now been three weeks and she's still not herself. She'”
