“If you drive for Walmart Spark, DoorDash, Instacart, Uber Eats, or another delivery app, I want to bring attention to a serious problem that affects all of us. What happens if you get into an at-fault accident while working and your vehicle is totaled? Your car is your…”

“Alright, I got a ticket in California for speeding but the problem is that the guy that pulled me over had put that he clocked me at 70 MPH by radar. I’m a company driver with a truck that moves at 65 by pedal and 68 by cruise. Let me add that I was going downhill, but I’m…”

Several delivery drivers express frustration with low earnings, specifically citing a $2 Walmart delivery. One driver received a speeding ticket and worries about job security due to background checks.

“I'm considering applying for a delivery driver at CVS. I have no delivery or professional driving experience, but do have a clean record. Do they even consider people without experience? Just wondering so I don't waste their time. Thanks ! submitted by /u/rayon875 [link] [comments]”

“New driver here, just got a tickr black box. I’m 17 years old. How strict are they on avg speeding, such as 68 in a 60. I worry as my car speedo isn’t accurate and worse than most cars. submitted by /u/Agreeable_Big_8156 [link] [comments]”

“Ok, I need a veteran who knows the rule book inside and out, what’s up with the speed limit warnings? How many do you get? Does the app not realize you can’t hit an off ramp at 25 after traveling at 65 on the highway? I don’t think even Tesla’s can reduce 40mph in the split second required for the app to not trigger the “speed limit I’m watching you” and turning red warning. How many warnings do you get? How do you hit the off ramp slow enough to not get banned off the app? Also, since last upda”

“I got a misdemeanor for excessive speeding (83 in a 55) in my personal car. I wasn’t arrested, but I do have a court date. Are there any trucking companies who would hire me? submitted by /u/JonMac02 [link] [comments]”

I’m a company driver with a truck that moves at 65 by pedal and 68 by cruise. Let me add that I was going downhill, but I’m covering my brakes the whole way down with the jakes on mid setting. Sometimes I just sit back and start to rethink my career choice. If I can’t beat it then I guess I’m stuck here for 3 years but I should be able to beat it b”

“I got a 95/70 super speeder ticket June 2025. I had just gotten a new car and was being an idiot. It is the only violation on my record. I’m really interested in getting my CDL and becoming a truck driver, but is it even worth going through that process right now if I’m not gonna get hired anywhere due to the ticket? Everything I’ve read says most companies won’t consider someone with a serious moving violation until it’s been at least 3 years with no other violations. Should I bother trying to”

“Everytime I go through California I try to go 55 but I feel like I'm the only one who does this! Gonna be cutting it a little close to my appointment in the morning just because of the speed limit. Can I shave some time off without being worried? submitted by /u/AdaliGreen [link] [comments]”

“So I'm not too worried about this in particular, but I went 13 seconds over on my drive time before I went on my 30 minute break. What's the worst that can happen to me? My assumption is that if anyone sees it they won't care much unless they're anal retentive. Inb4 Obligatory "straight to jail". submitted by /u/Strong_Thread [link] [comments]”

“Does this mean they are going to do routine checks now? I made a big mistake and got a speeding ticket. I accept I fucked up. I made a mistake that I regret. Please no trolling. I’m so worried now. I can’t afford to live without this. I know I fucked up and I regret it. submitted by /u/Temporary-Baby-421 [link] [comments]”

“Hey guys, I do a bunch of delivery driving - mostly around Miami and three of these $100 tickets ended up landing in my mailbox, my license almost got suspended and I had to fight these things tooth and nail (I got 2 out of 3 of them dismissed (still waiting on the third one)). But I thought this was so frustrating because most of these cameras enforce for the entire school day, not just the times when the speed limit is 15mph. So I went and tracked down all (probably missed a couple) of these d”

“Please no trolling. My life literally depends on it. I made a mistake . I was driving from northern cali to southern cali on a 300 mile long stretch and didn’t realize I was driving so fast. I got clocked at 90/70 . I’m so worried. I just hired a lawyer but it’s kern county and I was told they don’t drop or negotiate tickets. A win or loose county. I’m so scared. Please be kind submitted by /u/Temporary-Baby-421 [link] [comments]”

“Never had a ticket before. This went down as a level three inspection and a warning on the paperwork. I realized this will go on my PSP record as speeding fifteen miles per hour or over. I'm gonna be moving to Tennessee soon, and I'll have to be trying to find a new job. Do you think this will make it near impossible? I did o t r 4 years, and this year I just started doing home daily. It was my bad. I could have sworn that highway was seventy, but I guess it was fifty five. Luckily, I sa”

“I blasted the holy station praising the good lord as loud as I could while I was being recorded and obeying all traffic laws. I accelerated to 35 on a local street they just changed to 30. And I immediately felt like I had to explain myself to the app. It’s like having your boss watch your every every move. It’s horrible. It feels like an American freedom has been taken away. I’m manually turned off the recording. Does anybody else hate being recorded while driving? submitted by /u/C”

“Recently got some exciting news. Supposed to be starting on a Walmart dedicated account. Planner reached out and talked stop pay. $35 for the first store and then $20 for each successive stop. They said I'd keep my current OTR cpm which is fine if the stop pay will make up for it. They said loads will average between 4-500/day. They also said they'll run my clock out which is nice since it feels like I've almost had to beg for more miles the last couple of months while OTR. Just tryi”

“Road went from 55mph to 35mph and I got hit with a ticket for going 54 in a 35 right as I passed the sign. It’s very predatory, yeah, but I can’t cry over spilled milk. The cop said 15+ over the speed limit is a class 3 misdemeanor and I’m like super sure that’s going on my public record, so does this mean I might have to start looking for normal W2 jobs before I get hit with that annual background check? submitted by /u/Scratchfangs [link] [comments]”

“So, my company has Samsara. (Hate it!) and there are categories you have to try and hit. One of them is Speed. The requirement is 50hrs of maintaining at or below the speed limit. .... if you record a 10mph OVER the speed limit at any point, that 50hrs resets to zero. MAN, I feel like I am on another planet. When was the last time you set cruise control at the speed limit? Its fucking SCARY AF. EVERYONE is flying by like you're standing still, or aggressively passing you and cutting you off”
