“My main concern is not esthetic but long term wind effect. I see that 1 and 2 (broken half) seem to be a whole bumper assembly as in the link i have provided below. Is replacing only 3 and 4 mark(so One plastic part I guess that seems to be separate) and acceptable long term…”
“I bought this as a project car and this is the only body damage. I can't push it back in so my thoughts right now are just remove the bumper and try to put it back straight. I could order the chrome trim separately or maybe re wrap it? Would love to hear any advice!”

“Something that looked like a boomerang came flying down the highway and cause a deep cut and scratches. I’ve been googling and have been seeing things about Bondo body repair? Would that even work for the deep cut? How can I fix this 😭😭😭 submitted by /u/Anxious-Advantage-20 [link] [comments]”
“Is there anyway I could DIY fixing this. It’s about the size of a penny and it’s just a slight protrusion on my front bumper. Obviously it also caused some paint cracking I plan to wrap the car soon and this definitely needs to be fixed before I wrap it. (Ignore the damage done to the front grille I plan to replace it with a different one anyway) submitted by /u/No_Hovercraft982 [link] [comments]”
“Howdy! Pretty much the title. Not sure how it happened or what was struck, but the piece below the door is now bent up so that it catches each passenger door, preventing them from opening (mostly the front, but rear grinds at the hinge so I stopped). I have a crowbar and considered trying to bend it down, buuuut I don’t have the strength and worry about damaging the doors when using them as leverage. (I clearly don’t know shit about shit haha.) 2014 Honda Accord Would really appreciate any insig”
“A couple weeks ago I got hit. My main concern is the dent on the bumper as everything else is mostly replacing parts. Could this be a DIY project for someone willing to put in the time to get it right? I’m no repair expert but I’ve maintained this car myself very well and would prefer to do it myself to save money and also because I just enjoy repairing things. If so, what tools would I need and any good tips? Not trying to get it perfect, I obviously won’t get the same result as a professional”
“I forgot to tighten my lug nuts and my wheel came off while driving. And it messed up my bumper a lil bit how bad is it can it be fixed at home? submitted by /u/LavarBalls_ [link] [comments]”
“Junk yard bumper cover. Epoxy mesh on the back side/filler/sanding/respray. Zip ties. https://preview.redd.it/c0hkfyvytmoh1.png?width=447&format=png&auto=webp&s=a929e6523c2c18586ba7606501da8bf801eb312e”
“I was driving my 2025 Acura RDX A-Spec with approximately 13,000 miles when a large, heavy metal piece came off a truck in front of me and struck the front bumper of my vehicle. The piece went underneath my vehicle with enough force that the car moved up and down when it hit. Shortly afterward, my vehicle became undriveable and would no longer drive. The vehicle was towed to the dealership, where it was inspected and they found a hole in the transmission. The dealership provided a 16K to repair”
“2021 Honda- HRV bumper got bumped by someone, small crack. The bumper appears to be comprised of rough plastic outer shell coating, but under this it’s not regular hard plastic, Almost chalky/plaster like material? I have never seen a bumper with this texture. Usually full hard plastic or metal. Looking to get fixed, but not sure a normal bumper place would do it cause they usually deal more with dents and paint, this is a weird plastic situation. Anyone familiar with how this gets repaired or a”
“I was involved in a minor fender bender. I’m just looking for opinions on whether this bumper is repairable based off these pictures. I took it to a local auto body in my small town, but they said it would need to be replaced at a cost of $4000 CAD. I was hoping they would be able to bend it back and scuff out the paint. Let me know any thoughts and opinions if it needs to be replaced I’ll probably just leave it as is. Thank you!! submitted by /u/DieselPig11 [link] [comments]”
“This happened to my car today 😭 The rear bumper has some scratches/scuffs and looks like it got pushed in a bit around the corner. The tail light seems fine and I don’t see any major cracks. Is this something I could realistically fix myself, or should I just take it to a body shop? If it is DIY-able, what would be the best way to go about it? I’m mainly wondering if I can get the bumper back into shape and then deal with the scratches/paint. I’ve never done bodywork before, so any advice would”
“Have some cracks on the lower part of the bumper on my Hyundai i30. Will this need a full bumper replacement or is there a procedure where it can be welded back together? Thanks for the help submitted by /u/Difficult_Bus_341 [link] [comments]”

Is replacing only 3 and 4 mark(so One plastic part I guess that seems to be separate) and acceptable long term solution? This is a commuting car (2 days a week 6 month, 80km) I just bought and want to keep it for a long time. Also in mint conditions other the broke part so find it hard to put a juber part or used part on it. Will do”
“For what it would cost you would be best to just get a bumper. Try a breakers yard and get one in colour. Pay to have it changed. It will be cheaper than a new bumper and getting it sprayed and fitted..”
“Someone said to just paint over it, it’s not drilled into the bumper I guess the wind just kept pushing the nail”
“Tree stump got caught under grill and popped out the side as I backed up. Wondering if I would need a whole new bumper or would the autobody shop just repair the clips. I took it to them and they said it would be a quick fix but wondering if they would end up replacing the whole thing? HELP! submitted by /u/GladExam3216 [link] [comments]”
I would look for an aftermarket heavy duty bumper maybe on eBay
“Hi everyone, I was driving and noticed a scratching sound on bumps and found this metal piece hanging from underneath my 2018 Honda civic. Is this something I need to get fixed/looked at ASAP? and am I ok driving the car in the meantime? Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/flashvsarrow [link] [comments]”
“I have a 2014 Odyssey and couldn't avoid a metal object on the highway. The object was kicked up and made a loud impact to the area pictured. Do I need to do anything and has the structural integrity and safety been weakened? Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/Packers_ [link] [comments]”

“That is a very simple fix, will just get repaired and painted, no way will insurance quote you for a new bumper”
“How would I go about fixing these two things? It’s on the trunk right where a chrome plastic piece sits and I don’t really have the money for a body shop but I want to do it right. Should I just try and bend ot back as much as possible, add bondo, and paint it again? I’ve done little bits and pieces of body work in the past but not like this, was mostly PDR submitted by /u/Sudden-Language-5216 [link] [comments]”
“Bought a pre owned Mercedes with this piece of the bumper missing. Is this DIY-able or am I going to have to take this to a shop? If it’s doable at home, any insight on how to patch this up would be very appreciated. I don’t have access to donor material or a plastic welder, so we’re talking Home Depot/auto store level DIY. good side shown for reference submitted by /u/IntvI [link] [comments]”
“There’s a screw at the front where the round hole is through the bumper into the body.”

“Bumper needs replacing as it’s ripped of the support along the top that holds it to the car body”
“It’s on either side, I tried pushing it in to see if it catches a clip but this failed? Idk what else to do and it’s triggering me submitted by /u/medicbot- [link] [comments]”
“After two weeks of purchasing my Tacoma someone hit me in a parking lot. I just received my truck back from the collision repair center. Is this paint work on the left bumper cap acceptable? The sheen and texture seems so far off from the original. submitted by /u/imcheng [link] [comments]”
“I had a bit of a little crash this morning and left a dent in my rear bumper and I've been looking for a aftermarket part that's affordable but reliable and when I searched online a brand came to be "Sherman" is this a good brand? submitted by /u/Inevitable-Aside-702 [link] [comments]”
Will it stay connected if you push the bumper cover back into place
“The material in some of these new bumpers and brackets just can’t handle the heat that a lot of areas are experiencing. If they’re going to continue to use plastic snapping into plastic as a design choice, they need to use better materials.”
“Don’t know what to do. Had a piece of metal fly out from under a bus on the highway and fly right into me. (Have it on dash cam) I have a price for a full bumper replacement and repaint of the hood as it is gouged through to the metal. I have a price for a bumper repair with plastic weld and repaint for half the price. I can also buy the parts and just get them painted and installed which puts me in between both quotes. I’m not sure if I should go through insurance as I don’t really want my prem”
“It happened on the highway. I heard a loud bang as it happened. I was getting off the highway and there was a construction truck waiting to merge into traffic (they were moving). As soon as I drove past the truck, I heard the bang. I am so pissed. It is located on the passenger rear door. submitted by /u/bddie24 [link] [comments]”
“Hey all im not sure where to post this but im wanting to make a custom bumper for a 2016 genesis coupe thats similar to this one i found on reddit(credit in image). How do i go about designing and making it. I found that i can use foam and fiberglass or i can design it online. My question if i use foam how do i make it symmetrical. And also do i make it on top of my current bumper since its pretty much a whole new one. I was debating getting a beat up extra bumper to get the fitment for the head”
