“Hi everyone, We are installing SPC click flooring and looking for guidance on where to start. Online it says to start from the longest section/hallway. Would the area highlight in the pic be the right place for us to start. This means a good section of the flooring we will need…”

“I got coretech floor with bevel and it comes in 30",48" and 72" length. It's been fun making it a random pattern. The subfloor prep definitely is going to take longer than the install. What do yall think?”

Many flooring professionals are frustrated with issues like asbestos concerns, incompatibility of replacement panels, needing to level concrete slabs, and dealing with inconsistent stair surfaces. These problems eat into their time and increase project costs.

“Hi all. Long time lurker here as I've been looking to replace flooring in our new home. Just ripped up all the old carpets and stick down vinyl to replace it with floating SPC Hybrid. Any advice on direction of flow? My flooring guy has suggested installing thresholds at each door to aid in replacing any damaged pieces in the future but I feel like it'd look better flowing between the rooms. Doing all areas except bathrooms, kitchen and laundry. Appreciate any insight! Thanks submi”

“Is Quickstep Studio a good floor? It’s a 10mm plank, AC 4 for $1.99/sq.ft which seems good right. There seems to be some reviews saying the water resistance is inconsistent though submitted by /u/Fax-Bretov [link] [comments]”

“Hi everyone, We are installing SPC click flooring and looking for guidance on where to start. Online it says to start from the longest section/hallway. Would the area highlight in the pic be the right place for us to start. This means a good section of the flooring we will need to install in reverse, which I have heard is more painful. I’m afraid starting from a corner room might lead to slant by the time we reach the living room. We are planning to do this as continuous flooring, no transition”

“Hi I am working on renovating the foyer. I have Schulter Ditra PS on OSB subfloor. I read that for foyer I don't need to waterproof the Ditra but I am wondering if the OSB will absorb a significant amount of humidity from thinset when I install the tiles. Just wanna be safe between doing the final step. Thank you in advance. submitted by /u/istyle180 [link] [comments]”

“I’m trying to decide if it’s worth it to get full true match stair treads for my Revwood plus staircase or just go with the flush bullnose, which is quite a bit cheaper. Any thoughts on the look or durability of these two options? The staircase is a central feature of the home and needs to stand up to large dogs and lots of traffic. For now we’ll probably put some tread covers like this ( https://a.co/d/0efuT3oF ) on the stairs for kid/dog safety but I want the stairs to look great on their own”

“Hey guys, quick sanity check. Getting Therdex 2.5mm direct-glue herringbone PVC installed. The project is €20K, so I’m expecting solid quality control. The installers poured the leveling compound, sanded today, and tomorrow starting to lay glue. But when I checked the floor, I saw: -Tons of open pinholes and small craters that sanding didn't fill -A patch near the wall that literally crumbles into loose white powder when I touch it -Some glossy patches the sander missed in low spots The worke”

“Hi, Any advice gratefully received. Had a builder lay a Karndean click flooring as part of a renovation/ extension. In the middle of the hall where a new underfloor screed met an old they somehow left a 2” diameter hole resulting in a floorboard the dipped considerably. Flagged in December (fitted November, well within ongoing work and pre snagging), and agreed to fix. Multiple attempts to resolve later and we have the photos. First tried an injected levelling compound. Secondly cut out the floo”

“Installer is saying staples were needed for this type of carpet - I have never seen a carpet with staples used like he did. Nice carpet but doesn't look great. submitted by /u/Rich_League_7796 [link] [comments]”

“I bought my home 5 years ago. They have the forbo Marmoleum Click panels. Had a dishwasher leak and need replace a few panels. I see that they no longer call them "Click" and the new name is Cinch Loc Seal. Does anybody know if they are compatible with each other? submitted by /u/mainstreambhb [link] [comments]”

“Hi all, we are redoing our flooring and have chosen smartcore pro by coretec (20 mil). Currently upstairs we have tile and I read on the manual we can install over most hard surface flooring with exceptions they have listed which didn't include tile. We plan on filling in the grout lines and of course making sure the flooring is even prior to install. The question I had was about the tiled stairs we have (pictured here). I haven't read anything about being able to glue the LVP on tile. T”
