“i moved into this house a while back and sadly a lot of the floor boards have become loose or broken since then. i tried to see if they had a brand/colorway at the bottom but didn’t find anything. any suggestions would be much appreciated!!”

Many flooring installers are facing challenges sourcing specific discontinued products, dealing with quarter round issues, and finding suitable wood-look tile. There's also frustration around the availability of edge parts for certain flooring types and difficulties in preparing subfloors for installation.

I tried contacting NuCore with no luck - emails are returned, their site submission form isn't working, and all the suggested retailer links go to Amazon. Any suggestions on where to find this? &”

“We have a home built in 1942 and about half of the original oak (I think) base shoe was removed and is gone. Probably taken off to install carpet. We would like to restore the wood floors and replace the trim but I've done a lot of searching and have not been able to find these corner pieces. Wondering if anyone knows what these are called or if they are available online? submitted by /u/redfalken [link] [comments]”

“Hello! Does anyone have any experience with Paramount solid hardwood flooring? My wife and I are looking at Maple flooring in the Forester collection (Champagne color). We really like the sample we came home with - we currently have LVP down from a different manufacturer that did not perform well. This will be our first time having hardwood floors and was wondering if this is a good reputable brand and if anyone has any experiences with them or this collection? submitted by /u/Hollac”

“More years than I care to admit ago, we put down cheap B&Q 3 strip oak coloured flooring. Most of its done pretty well, but some of it needs replacing, and I was never massively keen on the colour. It's....OK I guess, but I don't actively like it. My Other Half doesn't want black, because it's hard enough to see black cats in low light as it is, and purple, wood style laminate doesn't seem to exist (purple heart actual wood does , but it's way out of budget) so we set”

“Hey guys I bought the costco bloomington oak and this is my first time flooring. I know I should've floored before sheetrocking but I left 1/4" gaps all around anyways so I could fit the tool on the edges. My question is, both rooms are opposite sides of the living room and I have the tongue facing the wall on both rooms. So now the groove end is facing the living room. Do I have to rip 1 room out and turn it around so the tongue is going 1 way? Or what would you guys do? submitte”

“Long shot, but I have to try…I recently had some water damage in my house. I only need 1 or 2 boxes of the flooring in the picture to repair the small area, but it’s discontinued. If I can’t find this flooring, I will have to put new flooring on the entire first level of my house. “I installed new trim and have a 3/8”x1” gaps where the flooring cut around the old trim. I’m not sure how to visually hide these without extending the quarter round past the door casing. My thought is filling it with putty or something else that will harden flat with the floor, and then try to match it with paint or stain. “We had a leak from our sink in the kitchen and had to pull up our 5 year old lvp flooring from Lumber Liquidators. Since we put in that flooring, they've gone bankrupt, got bought out, and switched suppliers so our lvp has been discontinued and we can't find any extra stock of it. “Does anyone have any ideas about where I can look for discontinued vinyl flooring? The guys who laid the floor had to come back and take it up as it wasn't level. “Hey folks, I'm in a bit of a bind here trying to decide between plywood and OSB for some flooring we're putting down in a new build. We're working in a pretty humid area, and I'm concerned about how each might hold up over time. I know plywood tends to handle moisture better, but it's a bit pricier and I'm on a tight budget. On the other hand, OSB is more affordable, but I've heard mixed things about its long-term durability in moisture-heavy environments. Would love”

So the challenge I have is this: * In some of the gaps they are slightely loose * they are still small gaps in some of them as they are not snug tight.. but cutting this cork with a stanley is so damn hard.. omg ************* Que”
