“I launched my first game in Early Access a little over two months ago and wanted to share my thoughts. A lot of people recommend against EA, and honestly I still don't know if it was the right call, since I can't know how a straight 1.0 launch would have gone. But overall I'm…”

“So I’ve been developing my racing game and am now at the stage where I could potentially release a short demo in a couple of weeks. But I have so much more to do for the full release like potentially 6-12 months…. I really don’t know. Would I be better publishing the demo and then taking the 6-12 months to release the game, or going in to Early Access now so people can play the early version and get updates as I develop it. Note that if it was Early Access there would need to be quite a lot of u”
“I launched my first game in Early Access a little over two months ago and wanted to share my thoughts. A lot of people recommend against EA, and honestly I still don't know if it was the right call, since I can't know how a straight 1.0 launch would have gone. But overall I'm happy with the choice. The main reason I chose EA was to decide how to use my resources. My game is a desktop idle fishing game, so playtests and demos are a poor way to get real feedback on the intended progres”
“I shared an early version of my game here about 5 months ago and got some really helpful feedback. A lot has changed since then, and the demo is now available to play on Steam. I’d love to hear what you think about the gameplay, pacing, and overall bakery experience. “Does it look too cartoony? Is it too bright/saturated? Does the game look appealing at all? Any constructive criticism is okay! On a side note, any tips from experienced devs on 'distancing yourself' from the work? submitted by /u/drm_mys [link] [comments]”
“Hi everyone! I've been working on Dayfield, a free-to-play 3D farming game. You can grow crops, care for animals, craft goods, trade with neighbours, and drive around the countryside. There are changing seasons and weather, plus plenty to unlock as your farm grows. I made a short video to show what the game is like. If you'd like to try it, the "Play Dayfield" button on the itch.io page opens the full game at dayfield.online: https://perpapanda.itch.io/dayfield I'd love to”
“This is a slightly weird post to write. I’m one of the developers of Permafrost , a survival game we've been working on for the last few years. And on October 9, it finally enters Early Access. The basic idea behind the game is pretty simple: The world ended, winter didn't. You explore a frozen open world where preparation matters just as much as combat. You scavenge abandoned buildings, craft what you need, restore shelters and slowly create a network of safe places that allows you to t”
“A playable demo, a wishlist page and a devlog are three different things to share. Before choosing a subreddit for an indie game, I would check which of those it accepts, whether the game must already be free to play, and whether promotion belongs in a particular thread or on a particular day. A room full of developers can be useful for feedback without being the audience that will buy the game. I make ThreadFox, a paid Reddit outreach toolkit. I am trying a free rule lookup here for indie devel”
“Hi r/IndieGaming , Factory Default: Build, Trade, Repeat has just released into Early Access after about 2 years of development! As an avid fan of games like Satisfactory, Anno 1800, Cities Skylines, and Dyson Sphere Program, I set out to build the game that I always wanted to play. Expansive supply-chains without the burden of combat or micromanaging citizens. Just you, raw material, some factories, and the volatile market. It is available now on PC, made in Godot 4.3, and published by MicroPro”

“For someone who basically knows 0 about Architecture, can your game identify structural failures? For example, could I design a house, send it to a construction company and are they able to follow the blueprint without any issues? Or could you start something, send it to a architecture and let they analyze/continue from there (from some normal architect program)?”
“Hi everyone! just want to share the current state of my game :) I started working on Never Ending Trail right after finishing school in May, and a few weeks ago I began my dual study program, so development is a bit slower now. But the Steam page is finally live , and I honestly can't say how much it means to me that 9 people have already wishlisted it in 3 days . I think that sounds very small for a lot of you, but for me every single one of them is a person who looked at my game and though”
“Hey everyone! I’ve officially released version 1.0.0 of Acres Ascending, a farming progression game where you plant and harvest crops, expand your farm, increase your storage, unlock upgrades, and hire farmhands to automate your fields. After a bunch of development, testing, bug fixes, and balancing, the full game is finally playable from beginning to end. You can play it free directly in your browser here: https://black-spruce-interactive.itch.io/acres-ascending I’d really appreciate any feedba”
“Hey everyone! We're a 3-person indie studio and we just released our first game, Monastery: Ora et Labora , in early Access on Steam. We wanted to create a peaceful management sim focused on internal logistics, self-sufficiency, and community rather than combat. You build a medieval monastery from scratch and guide your monks through the historic Benedictine motto "Ora et Labora" (Pray and Work). Your monks have skills, passions, and traits and can write manuscripts in the scriptor”

“Hey everyone! I’m currently developing Happo World , a new 3D virtual world focused on social spaces, exploration, customization and building a community around the game. It’s still in early development / pre-launch , so there’s a lot of room to improve. I’d genuinely love for you to log in, explore it yourself, and tell me what you think — what feels fun, what feels missing, what you would change, features you’d like to see, bugs, anything. Happo also has its own in-game economy, with Haps acqu”

“I’ve been working on the tutorial for Aetherfall and wanted to share where it’s at. ou start in an overgrown cave and gradually unlock elemental abilities, using them for combat and environmental puzzles, growing a vine bridge with water, burning through brambles, melting ice, and combining elements. The idea is to introduce these mechanics through things happening in the world, while making the cave feel like somewhere worth exploring. This is a obviously an early development build, so there’s”
“Hey everyone! We’re a small indie team working on Beellionaire Idle , a cozy first-person game where you start with a few beehives and gradually build your own honey business. You can collect honey, fill jars, sell your products, unlock new equipment, and expand your farm. We’ve just released the free Steam demo, and we’d really appreciate your feedback especially on the gameplay loop, progression, and anything that feels confusing. “I only meant to look around the island, but ended up building a little, planting a few things, and wandering around with this floating companion. It’s still rough around the edges, but the quiet pace and the sunset were surprisingly relaxing. submitted by /u/DryWhereas388 [link] [comments]”
“Hi all! I’ve made a ton of updates to my game’s demo on Steam, and I’m hoping to get a bit more feedback on the latest version before I release into Early Access. (EA will be all about getting feedback too, I’d just like to make sure this version works well for people before I do the big EA launch.) The game is about ready for EA, and the demo is the first part of the game. The game is Cave Oasis at Shylake . It’s a cozy, nerdy, eco-futuristic farming sim and small town life sim, set in a cave o”
