“First off, I clean the filters about twice a week, but this bit of water that's left in the dishwasher after a cycle starts smelling stagnant after a few weeks. I sponge it out and it'll be ok for a while and then start smelling again. Does anyone know why this is happening? TIA…”

“So, this caught my attention. Do you think how many days this will last before dumping all the water and change into new clean water? Will it properly flush down all the dirt on the plates, glasses, etc? I think i wanna do this at my own home.”

“I’ve never encountered a dishwasher that does have a filter accessible on the bottom of the inside, but to be fair I’ve only lived in one place with a dishwasher before. I’m used to being able to pull out some kind of little trap or whatever and cleaning off all the food gunk…”

I’m used to being able to pull out some kind of little trap or whatever and cleaning off all the food gunk that accumulates. But my current dishwasher has a cage fixed around it. I’ve run two dishwasher cleaner loads back to back and nothing. I have hard water. I’d appreciate help if anyone has”

I’m thinking of doing this with my Bosch dishwasher and just rotating between two filter sets. Does anyone here actually use this method regularly? Does the dishwasher clean the dirty filter well, and have you found that the grease/gunk removed from it just ends u”
