“DIY here I fitted a 90 degree mcalpine Flexi pan connector to the waste pipe in the ground. It fits tightly on the spigot with no leaks but there is smell and a draft from the gap into the soil pipe nearest the toilet side. I thought these pan connectors were meant to be fitted…”

“Hello. I’m about to install a waterline from my meter to my house. It’s only about a 30 foot run. I have the clear uponor which I’m going to use. My question is I bought some corrugated piping that can cover up the uponor. Is…”

“Currently my kitchen has plumbing for a double sink in the island with a clean out at the top of the drain stack (under the blue and orange test caps in the photo) Im going to be switching to a single sink, which will essentially be replacing the sanitary-tee with a dishwasher wye, and connecting the ptrap to a sanitary-tee in the drain stack. My question should I move the clean out down in the stack and add an AAV to the top (basically like the last picture, but with one sink). submitted”

“DIY here I fitted a 90 degree mcalpine Flexi pan connector to the waste pipe in the ground. It fits tightly on the spigot with no leaks but there is smell and a draft from the gap into the soil pipe nearest the toilet side. I thought these pan connectors were meant to be fitted into the soil pipes as is, but there's definitely not a tight air seal. Any ideas? submitted by /u/Arcadiun [link] [comments]”

“Haha. I hear you on the clean out. Regarding headroom for the combo fitting, I do have the height as the drain will sit about 8” beneath 2x10 floor joists. But I think the fitting you are proposing is probably a more flexible way to align to the bore hole for the toilet flange. Due to the angle of the branch drain, it misses the flange hole by exactly 1 3” pipe width. One of those “perfect world vs. real world” problems where I can’t move the branch drain or the flange location. Appreciate the s”

“If you have the existing T&P drain, use it. You don’t want it to be contained. The condensate does not need an air gap. If you have an air conditioner in your attic, chances are it ties into one of your sink drains, so you’d be doing the same basically. Although the condensate from your tankless is acidic so it’s best to run it through a neutralizer first. If you’re in a jurisdiction that uses IPC, the 8ft will fly. If they use UPC, your max length of the trap arm is 5ft. So you’d have to go”

“The vent would need to be 2" .”

“How complex is this? It looks like my home previously utilized a 3/4 HP insinkerator (I think that’s a brand?) that plugs in under the sink. Disconnect from mounting hardware, disconnect from drain line and dishwasher line, and connect new? I was told replacing with the same brand might be easy due to mounting hardware Thanks. submitted by /u/Synthyx [link] [comments]”

“Came and said the exact same thing before I saw your post. Those are some damn good fittings to have”

“You can hook up two washers to a 2” drain as long as each has its own connection and trap.”

“Not quite, an end waste outlet and a pro vent would be better.”

“Yeah thats the one that usually comes on the end of the corrugated discharged. The individual ones youd buy at a supply house look a little different but same concept. Probably wont need an extra one since your discharge already has one built in. And the air gap outlet at disposal inlet should both be 7/8" so shouldn't be any need to adapt or reduce. But if you do need it this is what the Fernco version looks like.. theres a couple three variations but they all accomplish the same thing”
