“I bought a new build home in Maryland and they installed tall fescue sod. It’s dying in spots of my yard that get a lot of sunlight. Can I save it? How do I save it? It’s not rooted in the photo.”

“Help me Obi-Lawn Kenobi… Landscaper laid down new sod. Heavy watering for a couple weeks looked long and lush. Finally cut it and it looks like this once cut. The ground is still pretty marshy/muddy. Some patches are yellow some patches are just muddy. How do I get it a uniform…”

“I followed all directions to redo a portion of my lawn. I used Roundup to kill all the grass and weeds. Waited a week and sprayed 2nd dose. I then raked all the dead grass. In-between for the fun of it, I even set fire on the dried grass. Finally after everything was cleared, I leveled the lawn and spread soaked seeds with Milgronite as carrier. The lawn started growing fine but then the weeds came back with vengeance. It's almost like I spread weed seeds. What are my options now? Should I r”
“How often/how much should I be watering my new lawn? I’m located in central Indiana. Context, I killed everything off, de-thatched, aerated, and will be seeding, topping off with peat moss and some scotts starter fertilizer. I know I need to keep everything moist, but does anyone have more input on exactly how they went about watering a new lawn? submitted by /u/Chemical_Vacation150 [link] [comments]”
“I had sod installed about 5 weeks ago. It was very green and healthy and I cut back to watering once every other day. It was growing so wild so I cut it shorter than the first time, but it was too short. Some of it is turning brown. Should I go back to watering once per day, twice per day to revive it? submitted by /u/Accurate-Flow8078 [link] [comments]”
“The end goal here is to have a beautiful yard with plush grass. Bought a new build home, in central Indiana, the builder put sod in the front, seed in the back and sides. The seed was poorly laid, the soil wasn’t pre treated and now I’m barely getting any grass and just a tall amount of thick weeds. I’m prepared to roll up my sleeves and do this myself, but would it be wiser long term to hire someone? First quote I got was $2500 to remove and treat the dirt, and I’m not afraid of sweat equity vs”
“Central Canada. I’d like your opinion on whether this patch of grass can be salvaged with some seeding and water or if new sod is needed. I think a dog was using the spot in front of the steps as a bathroom during the winter. submitted by /u/ftredoc [link] [comments]”
“First time caring for a lawn. Looking into how to fix these brown spots. Should I Aerate, seed and soil and water it daily? Should I aerate the whole lawn? Let me know! Thank you. Also have no clue if CO is considered northern US or southern US for the tags. submitted by /u/Key-Problem-8300 [link] [comments]”

“Hello, I have ended house reconstruction incl. ground works. There was material laid on grass. I will do whole nuke on green(ish) side as well and then I want to seed new grass. I dont want to use grass carpet. Lawn is all around house with 2 sides (W and E) are sunny, S and N are under trees and in shadow of houses. Soil is clay, it is hard as rock after rain and grass was pretty mossy. What should I do with it? Is sand enough? Next thing is watering. I have rainwater tank and acess to well wat”
“I’m pretty new to lawn care and I stumbled upon a video where if you mix strong vinegar with salt and dawn dish soap, it acts as a natural weed killer… so I tried it but I used 50% vinegar solution and did not dilute it… should I be concerned? And just for extra clarification I only used it on areas with weeds submitted by /u/Ok_Instruction4501 [link] [comments]”
“Located in Toronto area. Had new sod put in back in the spring (May 4), and we had a wonderfully cool and rainy spring and early summer, and it took beautifully. When they’d stripped it down to put the new sod in, the contractor found a few grubs, and noted that I’d need a treatment when companies do it later in summer but all of the heavy watering would help until then. So that’s what I went with. Now, I’m getting these lighter patches with the lighter blades pulling out easily. I’ve already in”
“Summer patch in Connecticut. This back yard lawn took a turn quick after those 100 degree days recently. (New customer this year didnt see it coming) I think it’s summer patch. This year I did propiconazole (preventative) on June 1st I then noticed pythium on some newly seeded grass June 25th so I applied azoxystrobin. Then we got the heat wave and the grass showed it’s issues and I applied propiconazole/bifenthrin to control the fungus/ go after surface feeders on July 7 (It hasn’t gotten worse”
“CT, USA. Cool season Kentucky bluegrass. So I’m a bit of a dumbass. I applied 42% glyphosate to my walkway to get rid of a spurge infestation and then walked over it while it was wet and onto my lawn. Now I have footprints all the way into my backyard. The grass footprints appears quite dead. Can I just leave it and eventually it’ll self repair or do I need to dig those spots out and do anything to replant grass? I don’t mind waiting for nature to take its course especially as it is summer and s”
