“I listened Threedom, which is a podcast where the title is usually just whatever the funniest or weirdest sentence they say is. Can't get much more granular than that I think for you it's totally okay to do what you're doing. Everything needs a hook. Think of it like a…”
“I love this concept! There are so many things I come across every day...but I have no idea what they really are or what they're for. [re: Weekly Episode Thread October 12, 2026 - Share Your Podcast, Request Feedback, Discover New Ones]”
“There's a similar one already used that is the reverse order of our name. So let's say our idea is "Pizza and Beer", theirs is "Beer and Pizza". Do you think we should pick a new name again? Every name we try seems to have been claimed already and I'm sad.”
Multiple podcasters are seeking feedback and struggling to define their podcast's name or core message. This indicates a common pain point around establishing identity and clarity for new podcasts.

“I like to title an episode around its main topic. If something extraordinary happens in a short segment you can use that, but I'd treat it as an exception. Many listeners decide whether to listen based on the title because it tells them what the episode is about, few read the description. “After deciding against “28-3”, we went with “Curse of the Falcons.” Fans of the NFL know why. We’ve had a very recent change in our team of three voices and we hope to gain traction from here. It has taken us 75 episodes to find our groove.”
“I like Sunday Bagels with Doctors; it reminds me of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. I’ll probably that title a lot better to share and with my friends than something generic. I would recommend doing exactly what you did here, though, and explain the title. Maybe in the trailer and/or description to start.”
yeah that one actually slaps, its catchy and ties right into the theme
Piqued! The tagline: The podcast about reality TVs biggest winners
“#1 would be my pic because it's not ambiguous at all, while #2 could be confusing to some. That said, "Faith & Fitness" would be a decent name if you discuss all things faith & fitness, while "Lifestyle Podcast" is more of a descriptor ... the thing you might put under the title. Also, as said elsewhere, a podcast doesn't need the word "podcast" in its title ... unless you want to pay homage to the era of shows like "The Jack Benny Program"”
Number 1 It clearly tells the listener that its about both.
“I'll admit I'm terrible with names, and I used to call mine Urban Lady Prepper, which did well, because that's what it is about. But I was listening to one of those "podcast gurus," and he basically said that, because of competition, you want to make sure your podcast clearly states the essence of what you're talking about - the point of the podcast and how it will benefit the listener. So I changed the pod's name to Prepping for Urban Ladies, so it's clear it&#”
“If I named my pod “Bro’s being Bro’s” I know I would alienate a good chunk of my potential listeners based on the name.”
“Captain Killjoy here. I think fun names are great, but only if you have the right marketing to communicate what the show's about. Having a clever name means there's very little search traffic around topic, also looking at the artwork it's hard to work out what the show is about until I read the description (which I wouldn't see if I was scanning through a chart etc). For shows without famous people or brands, I think the name needs to be descriptive, with artwork to match.”
“okay so "The People Who Ruined The World" is genuinely a great name lol, super clear what you're getting into and honestly that's half the battle with podcast names these day few things worth thinking about as you get going: the name is searchable which matters more than people realise, someone typing "worst people in history podcast" or "evil politicians podcast" into Spotify should theoretically find you, so make sure your description and episode titles ar”
“The People Who Ruined The World is solid, gets straight to point and sounds like something I'd click on while scrolling at 2am maybe add a subtitle or something small to make it more yours, like "The People Who Ruined The World: A Weekly Descent Into Terrible Humans" but that might be too long idk either way if the research is good the name will stick”
