“I still cannot like obsidian. I think it's ugly (visually speaking) and too much for só little. I don't know it just don't click to me”
“Sounds like an Origin problem. Maybe it renders bold/markdown differently?”
“I've tried a lot and have not really liked many. Yours was the first one that I liked. What is the point of those icons you changed? [re: Halftone — in case anybody is interested in giving this new theme a try]”
Several ObsidianMD users find both presented formatting styles difficult to read, expressing visual discomfort and lack of clarity. Some suggest the styles are unreadable and negatively impact comprehension.

“Oh, I love the balance of color. Easy on the eyes, especially in dark mode. Anyone experiencing issues with bold text? The text doesn't change for me.”
“It looks so goddamn weird now oh my god submitted by /u/slipperguy33 [link] [comments]”

“Yes, I'd personally go b&w. I don't get much of of the colour display. The colours are so washed out that is hard to tell them apart anyway. I'd happily swap for a whiter b&w screen.”
“Yeah I totally get that. The darker screen on the color models was the exact reason I stayed away from them. Though unlike what I have here, it might make sense for you to go with something with a front light, as it gets really hard to work with the Go 10.3 when the environment isn't very well-lit.”
“I use Anonymous Pro a lot - I should really put it in Obsidian too : https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Anonymous+Pro”
“sflr !! been pretty much busy lately, like usual just wanna update it in here, just like i said about disabling certain formatting like when using backtick (`), etc it is actually can be done (one of them is) by switching to source mode instead of live preview probably gonna useful for other users dealing with similar cases... haha...”
“Keep in mind I moved several years ago but the thing that still always comes to mind is drag and drop and enhanced formatting type options. Columns being a good example. I would love proper native column support. And then being able to move elements around so like right align a call out and have text wrap around it. Stuff like that. I know I can use plugins and or CSS but I don’t want monkey patched stuff. But like I said, it’s a trade off I’m willing to accept because I think it’s worth it. I f”
“default. But I like Borders' treatment of bold and italicized texts so I have a css snippet for that.”
“Most of the built-in styles don't work, but these should definitely: border , buttons , glass . With style settings, if you're setting colors, make sure they're set for the appropriate mode (e.g., light or dark, depending on what you use). What styles were you trying to apply or override? What I tested still appears to work for me. If I'm unable to reproduce, I'll need you to test without other plugins enabled (in a sandbox vault, for example), so we can narrow down if it'”
“Same T-T, the me when writing is very different from the me when reading it later”
“Being able to type to search is huge. And being able to modify your theme and tinker without having to close settings, look at the changes, then re-open settings, navigate back to what you were tinkering with, and repeat the process over and over is a godsend. It's not perfect, but its a massive upgrade.”
“Depends on how you use it, I suppose. It's pretty seamless for me. Fire up settings, type to search, keyboard navigation through the items. Close when done or chuck it aside if I need to look at the main window, too. I don't feel any slowness introduced by the new menu. Quite the opposite. Wish I could toggle things or change settings with the keyboard so I don't have to reach for the mouse to actually change a setting, but it's a nice improvement for me as it is. I don't hav”
“I also don't like it. You can disable it under interfaces -> open settings in a new window”
“I don’t really understand what is wrong with my settings. Should I just turn up the flow? submitted by /u/Infinite-Platypus687 [link] [comments]”
