“Both are live in 0.3.2: the highlight now stays for about six seconds, and Copy keeps the ¶ links, so pasting into a doc or email gives you links that open the article at that paragraph. Thanks again, this came straight from your feedback. [re: Looking for testers: a Chrome…”

“Feature Request Currently, the Text panel does not provide an option to copy and paste individual text elements within a text layer. It would be useful to have functionality similar to Adobe Premiere Pro, where users can easily duplicate text elements within the same graphics…”

“Hey all, I wanted line numbers in my code blocks, but the plugins I found did not have all the features I wanted. So I let Claude create a new plugin. Its free and open source. Features for code blocks: Line numbers (you can set the starting line number for code snippets extracted from larger files) A file name above the block Highlighted lines Compatible with Code Emitter and hopefully other plugins that work on code blocks. It doesn't change how blocks are highlighted or run, so everything”
“There's a plugin to Copy Document as HTML (total or partial), I use it a lot to move content from Obsidian to Word or Outlook [re: Obsidian & Office 365 is not a good match]”
“I appreciate how simple Omawrite is. That simplicity is why I wanted it. It isn't usable as a markdown editor. The syntax disappears as I type, and there is no way to get it back. I'm happy to send a pull request, or to help some other way.”
“Feature Request Add an option to compress text when copying large selections to the clipboard. Problem When copying large amounts of text (logs, code blocks, command output) from a Herdr pane, the text is copied verbatim without any compression. This differs from the behavior outside Herdr (in native terminals like Windows Terminal, WezTerm, Ghostty, Kitty, etc.), where the terminal/editor/shell often compresses or optimizes large clipboard payloads. Use Case Copying extensive log output (thousa”
“>Hold Alt while trying to select to make a rectangular/block selection.I don't see how block selection helps on cut text. In GUI you simply select the partial element and copy it, with either mouse or keyboard. You can also display it (or a tooltip) above the rest while selected, which is what compactified tabular views usually do. Turns out layout engines have a purpose in dense interfaces after all.>Yeah, the interfaces of coding agents are really poorly made. It's like they only know GUIs but”
“Add option to disable native paste markdown link over selected text (replace text instead), and separate commands to add link or replace (with cutomizable shortcut)”
“The Paste Mode Plugin help with putting multiple paragraphs of content "into" a callout block: https://github.com/jglev/obsidian-paste-mode”
It’s possible make this using python script with obsidian cli.
“You can probably script it via Lua in Vim Motions . You would configure it to enter insert and then call the Obsidian command from the other plugin.”
“Can I set the formatting hotkeys (and/or the buttons on the community plugin Editing Toolbar) to insert HTML code rather than Obsidian code? So <u><b> Underline Bond </u></b> rather than **<u>Underline Bold</u>** or its reverse which both fail? The asterisks also prevent formatting with <font color> . I do a good bit of complicated formatting to make my notes easy to read where I'm already going to be using the core Hotkeys plugin to turn on a single”
“Is there a way in Obsidian to make the cursor jump up/down a certain number of lines (usually like in VS code this is set to 4 lines)? Similarly to vim: 4j → jump down 4 lines. I have large text blocks, hence, I like to have a way to navigate quickly. Most editors have this (with a shortcut like ctrl-up) but I couldn't find anything and neither did Claude (besides vim mode but that is cumbersome). submitted by /u/suleiman12 [link] [comments]”
“Is there a plugin that lets you easily copy an entire block (without having to select it!), trimming markdown syntax like square brackets and highlights, onto the clipboard? Edit: with "without having to select it" I mean the cursor position would be enough submitted by /u/Key-Concept-7001 [link] [comments]”
“Is it possible not to have this markdown syntax when editing. Maybe it's just me that find it distracting. I know that it disappear when going into reading mode. I want to be able to edit the text without the syntax markdown or whatever it is called showing. I've tried to search for a solution, so maybe it's just me. submitted by /u/Air_Awear [link] [comments]”
“I am trying to copy all the search results when I search for things under a specific tag. However, when I try to copy the results from the search, it only copies a small selection of the entire search result (it might be just what is visible on the screen?). Is there anyway to copy the entire text under that search? submitted by /u/dabbatown [link] [comments]”
