“So I try to print as much detailed character head as possible and I got a pretty good result with details but I can't get rid of this random Z banding. What could possibly affect that? I'm out of ideas what I could change to improve the quality. I won't write what I tried…”
“Hi everyone, I'm looking for some help with layer lines / surface quality issues on my QIDI Q2C. I’ve had the printer for about a month now. Recently, I’ve noticed that the visible layer lines on the walls of my prints have become much more prominent than they used to be. Here…”
“Why is the print quality so bad to the left which is where it starts but then to the right it’s fine. I’ve stopped the print since saw it was a bad start and I want it perfect. Anyone know how to fix this?”
Users are struggling to achieve clean prints on their 3D printers, specifically noting the presence of visible layer lines and a 'ramen noodle' appearance. They seek advice on adjusting slicer settings or printer configurations to improve print quality.

“Printed on K1 Max at 80mm/s in pla, although that probably doesn’t matter as this has been happening to every one of my prints on this printer. Usually I can sand down and post process, but other things I’m printing with surface texture so preferably I’d like to dial this in. submitted by /u/Temporary_Variety313 [link] [comments]”
“Hi everyone, I'm looking for some help with layer lines / surface quality issues on my QIDI Q2C. I’ve had the printer for about a month now. Recently, I’ve noticed that the visible layer lines on the walls of my prints have become much more prominent than they used to be. Here is what I have already tried to fix the issue: Re-run the built-in Input Shaping calibration. Cleaned the old oil/grease off the Z-axis rods and lead screws, and applied fresh lubrication. I am printing with PLA. I hav”

“Can anyone tell me why every time I print something tall this happens to me, it doesn't happen at every layer and it doesn't always happen in the same precise point, it's as if while it's making the layer the nozzle moves to the right and then when it starts again, this excess of filament happens, moreover I haven't even activated the time-lapse and also in the slicer I see a movement that always goes towards the bleed side, but observing the print the nozzle never moves towa”
“Blacked out the text because its PII and irrelevant.. ive been printing off small test pieces and I finally got one that was perfectly smooth. And now that I went to print a test piece of the actual thing im not getting fully a fully ironed surface. Any ideas? I'm on a P2S. I've also attached my settings. I've currently changed the infil density from 20 to 30. Hoping that helps. We shall see.. but anyway, any ideas? submitted by /u/SavageSvage [link] [comments]”
“Does anyone know what would make this print like this? I am trying to print the F1 calendar like in the picture, but when it does the second layer of black it prints really weird. Does anyone know where I should start to fix this? I’m using the FalshForge Creator 5 pro and printing with PLA. 60* bed temp and dry filament. I’m new to 3d printing, so maybe talk to me as if I’m 5 years old. submitted by /u/JustinKoch2020 [link] [comments]”
“As you can see one side looks very nice and uniform the other side, not so much. This does not happen on every print, but he does happen sometimes and I was wondering what could be possible cause of this? Thanks submitted by /u/iChrist [link] [comments]”

“https://reddit.com/link/1wpfcug/video/o9xoqhqnjjrh1/player Hi everyone, My Bambu Lab A1 is having an issue that only shows up on the very last top layer. There's a jagged, rough line running across the top surface. It looks like a mix of under-extrusion and the nozzle scraping the surface. Everything below that layer looks fine. (Photo attached.) What I've tried so far: Two different filaments, same result Full printer calibration Flow Dynamics calibration Flow Rate calibration Ironing o”

“Hopefully I can describe this properly... I'm slicing this name tag that has a flat surface (in grey) with raised letters (in red). As you can see in the 2nd image, the print lines on the top grey layer are not uniform. The pattern is interrupted by the geometry of the letters (as you would expect the slicer to normally do). Ideally, I would like it to print the top layer of the grey field uniformly, as if it were the top/final layer of the entire model, and then print the letters on top of”

“I use a P2s this one printed virtually .!! If there are more details it usually leaves a line like these which somewhat looks way too unprofessional.!! I used a PLA + from numakers for this At 215deg temp (noz).! Comes back again ** submitted by /u/Aggressive_Read8068 [link] [comments]”
