“Yup but the problem with this is thats packs and cases for some ungodly reason is sold at different prices and cases is what the customers normally buys. So could ur way work even with this”
“I’d bucket slow stock instead of treating everything as “discount it”. Some products need better placement or photos, some belong in a bundle, some need a real markdown, and some should just be cleared and forgotten. I usually look at age, sell-through, margin, traffic and…”
“how do you do that? shopify mcP? [re: 'Slopify'.]”
Several users report difficulty navigating the Shopify admin interface, struggling with inventory pathways and basic tasks. Some express frustration with the complexity and time required to complete simple actions, while others worry they are the only ones experiencing these issues.

“Moving buttons around is easy, keeping a platform up and running for 20 years is hard. When I see a web interface that looks like it’s from 2005 I’m actually like guys, this actually means it probably was a huge success, sometimes it’s ok to be dull and dependable”
“shopify doesnt natively link pack inventory to case inventory. you either use a bundle/kit app that depletes components when a pack sells, or keep one sku and treat cases as a wholesale variant with inventory shared carefully. search the app store for kit or bundle inventory that supports component tracking. manual sync will break fast at volume.”
“It should be sorted as a linked collection. So if you've connected New Arrivals collection to that homepage block, and relevant collection sort is Newest, new should be on top in the homepage too.”

Yup its messy thats y I need one but im going to test simple bundles today
“Yeah, this is basically a unit conversion issue. If 1 case = 10 packs, you want Shopify to treat those as the same underlying inventory rather than two completely separate stock counts. So if you have 10 cases (100 packs) and someone buys 10 packs, you'd have 9 cases worth of stock left. If you receive another 10 packs, that should increase the available stock accordingly. I'd look for an inventory/bundle app that supports component quantities or unit conversions. A basic bundle app may”
“Shopify doesn't natively link units of measure, but you can get exactly this behavior if you flip how you think about it: make the pack your real inventory unit and make the case a bundle of 10 packs. Install Shopify's free Bundles app, create the case as a fixed bundle containing 10 of the pack variant, and stop tracking case stock separately. The case's available quantity is then calculated from pack stock. With 100 packs you show 10 cases, someone buys 10 packs and you show 9 case”
“Shopify's own inventory can't link a case to its packs automatically, so you'd need an app for that. Packify is built for case and pack selling, so look at whether it handles both directions, packs sold reducing the case count, and packs added bringing the case count back up.”
“I don’t know about that, half the time I’m just like “bruh fix all my product tags””
“I use it to hold down the floors in the deepest darkest corners of my Warehouse. No, but seriously, I’ve got two products that at this point, would make more money disassembled and sold for parts, than actually trying to sell them whole. I’m just thankful I’m not the one who selected these two items in the first place.”
“god, thousands of people tried to do this years ago and failed. pretty much a waste of time. you would really want a custom built site and even then the chances of success is low. there are a few apps that look decent. check out the Syncee app. they have a good platform for this that connects to Shopify. inventory and price syncs very well in real time. lots of vendors listed, etc. why not have a website that sells a bunch of brands like the rest of us? get a new brand that you want to sell, jus”
“I’d bucket slow stock instead of treating everything as “discount it”. Some products need better placement or photos, some belong in a bundle, some need a real markdown, and some should just be cleared and forgotten. I usually look at age, sell-through, margin, traffic and conversion before deciding what to do. If a product gets traffic but doesn’t sell, that’s a different problem from one nobody ever sees. Questions: How long do you let something sit before calling it dead stock? Are the slow p”
“Shopify has gone downhill will all of these unnecessary updates. Like the inventory update for example....you used to be able to go i to inventory, type -5 or whatever, hit enter, and 5 was taken out. Same with adding. Bow there are so many buttons to click, it is maddening. Staff is annoyef, I am annoyed, and there are so many mistakes now”
“Oh thank god, i was worried if it was just me fumbling through the admin and spending time trying to figure basic things..”
