“Hi there! Any recommendations about how to approach potential SELs/preceptors (same thing … right?) or how to get a foot in the door early with an opportunity? I‘m applying for MS programs for Fall 2027 but I see how hard it can be to secure SELs! I was hoping to secure these…”
“I have an interview tomorrow, and they are holding a social event tonight. The only issue, I am stuck in the airport and cannot go. Will they count that against me? I know probably not, but it's just the neurotic side of me.”

“I feel like I'm really having trouble putting these into an interview friendly format, especially my why medicine, but also my why this school. If anyone is extra bored and wants to help a pal out, I'd be happy to send my rough drafts. Interview…”
“Went 2/2 on getting waitlisted today at MD, so at this point i’m just accepting I suck at interviewing and Im not optimistic on my other interviews either. Anyone know of DO schools that like high stats and are near guaranteed interviews and/or acceptances for 517+/3.9+? submitted by /u/Certain_Necessary_91 [link] [comments]”
“hi! i have my first MD interview next week and am looking for advice. i've only had traditional formats so far and ive done well w those, just haven't done an MMI before. i have adhd lol and my biggest struggle is slowing down and piecing everything together in a way that makes sense to the other person. in other words, i can be a bit sporadic and tend to ramble. any advice is much appreciated! submitted by /u/Sensitive-Giraffe-20 [link] [comments]”
“Hey everyone! I have an MMI interview coming up in 2 weeks and was wondering if any med students would be able to help me with a mock interview? I am a reapplicant and don't have any people around me who can do mock interviews. Any advice from outside sources is also appreciated. Thank you! submitted by /u/caramelcookie-17 [link] [comments]”

I‘m applying for MS programs for Fall 2027 but I see how hard it can be to secure SELs! I was hoping to secure these early (open to volunteering/doing something helpful in advance) I thought about emailing local dietitians to request a time to interview them about their profession (in a time-respectful way) but I’d hate to sound stupid or”

“i went from radio silence to 2 interviews and i am so so so grateful but now i am also terrified 🤍 my school offers biginterview for free which has been okay but it’s hard to tell if my answers are actually good quality… so any tips on what’s worked for others would be so great!!! submitted by /u/No_Article6091 [link] [comments]”
“I am lining up some mock interviews leading up to the d-day. Looking for fellow interviewees, alumni, or current students who would be open to take a mock. submitted by /u/ker09 [link] [comments]”
“Very lengthy title! But essentially. I am currently preparing for interviews, and I wanted to know if it is appropriate to reach out to students on LinkedIn to ask questions. Thank you for your help! submitted by /u/Optimal-Angle-5202 [link] [comments]”
“Hi! I have a traditional interview coming up this week and was wondering if anyone who has already had an interview or any med students would be able to help me with a mock interview? I don't have any friends going through the process to talk to unfortunately submitted by /u/Responsible-Dish-584 [link] [comments]”
“I have my first (and hopefully not only) medical school interview in a couple weeks, and was wondering for those of you who have been through it if you had any advice. I personally feel decently confident, as I know my application inside and out, can articulate why I want to be a physician well, and have gained a lot of perspective since my initial, unsuccessful application cycle. I usually do not struggle with interviews, but still want to make sure I put my best foot forward regardless as this”

“I did 2 mock interviews with my university. I felt so prepared. Practiced tons of behavioral questions. They weren't asked. I was asked what literature I've read about working in this type of unit... I told them I've read articles about what nurses say about the unit and the hard parts about it. They gave me 2 resources to look up. I just don't feel like the interviewers were impressed at all 😭. And they have 6 more interviews for this unit this week. They said I should get an e”
“I had an interview at UMich last week which is my dream school and I feel like it was only okay. I'm super mad at myself because all of my other interviews have felt really good so far and I think I put too much pressure on myself because it is my top school. Like my interviewer asked if I had any patient experiences that stood out or impacted me and I just rambled for a bit. This question was literally something I had answered pretty well previously too 😭. I know rambling on a few question”
“So I just heard back from a school and my interview is the 21st! I’m excited but also very very scared. I know people who applied early decision and have already had interviews and I kind of want to all if they would be willing tu chat with me about the questions. But I don’t want this to come off as rude or an unfair advantage because obviously they didn’t know the questions before hand (I assume I mean they could have from other people). I just am not really sure how to prepare. submitte”
“Geisel has a group interview, followed by one faculty and one med student interview. The other two went really well, but I barely spoke during the group activity. There were six of us, and I only spoke twice: once at the beginning to make sure someone was taking notes/submitting our answer, and once to share my thoughts while remaining open to everyone else’s ideas. Why? I didn't understand the prompt initially. Everyone else contributed much more, take my word for it, so I’m worried I came”
“i’ve been interview leading up to my interview in a few weeks but honestly i think the best way for me to prep is just to get actual practice in. i don’t know a ton of people irl that would be able to do a mock interview with me and offer feedback. i was wondering what websites or resources you guys have used for practice? (preferably free bc im a broke premed) submitted by /u/Ok-Skin-1316 [link] [comments]”

“Hi, I don't know if we've already discussed this, but I got an interview offer for the job I really want. It's a great opportunity and a real starting point! It's a paid graduate training programme in a reputable charity organisation in the UK, and it would be a really great starting point for my dream of becoming an art therapist, but I am soooooooooo scared. I know I have a handful of experiences, and I deserve it, but it is just really scary, and it's tomorrow, and I feel”
Any advice you have to offer helps!! No matter how small.

“I have an upcoming PhD interview at a Max Planck Institute for a computational biophysics/MD position, and honestly, I’m pretty nervous and a little worried 😅 The process was: I applied, got a ~1-hour screening assignment where I had to critique a hypothetical MD study, submitted it, and somehow that turned into a 30–60 min interview with no presentation, mainly discussing my research and scientific background. The professor interviewing me is quite a big name in the field, so I’m also sitting”

“A week from tomorrow, I have my first DPT interview and it is for my top school. The schools application closes on October 1 and they technically are not rolling admissions, but I had heard through the grapevine that the first round of interviews goes out before Oct 1 for the best earliest applicants. A couple of months ago being accepted into this interview group would have had me ecstatic but now I am honestly more anxious because I know the stakes. I am a pretty sociable person so I wasn’t an”
“Interview season is here, and honestly, I have no idea how to prepare for interviews 😅 I’m looking for people who are also preparing and want to practice together! We could meet once or twice a week, ask each other mock interview questions, give feedback, and just help each other get more comfortable with the process. I’m also looking for mentors or anyone with medical school interview experience who would be willing to do mock interviews and give feedback. I’m definitely willing to compensate”
“...I guess, what should I do or expect? I'm so grateful to be sitting at interviews from NEOMED, WVU and SLU, and just recently, I got an invite from my dream school: Geisel. However, I tend to stutter and fall back on my words during interviews, and it's staple for my mind to blank during interviews (and public speaking) and end up giving a couple generic or nonsensical answers or ramble. Here's my app: Applied to 40 schools From the Midwest ORM 516/3.9 App theme: preventative medic”
