“Hit a limit today with the acceptance rate bullshit in my area. I deactivated and quit early, because it's so bullshit. I'll accept 10 rides out of 12 and my acceptance rate wont go up. But I'll decline one, and it will immediately go down by a point. I'll accept 5 more rides…”

Drivers are frustrated when they accept a ride request, but the trip vanishes before it can be assigned. This leaves them waiting and unable to fulfill the requested service, creating confusion and wasted time.

“I’ll get a ride appear on radar let’s say for 10 bucks. Then I hit match and it says all requests taken. Then 10 seconds later it appears again but for 2 dollars less! No idea if a flaw or uber playing with me so I just deny it. So many weird things I’ve noticed. Like for example if I use Ubers navigation I notice I’ll be driving with 7 minutes left for like 5 minutes I look back and still 7 minutes. But if I open another like Apple Maps I notice the time definitely moving faster! Anyway just ra”

“I had destination mode set on and I was finishing a ride and had another ride in a queue and in comes another request even though I had requests stopped on the uber driver app. Also, My destination was set to North and the eta for destination mode was 10:35 PM and I get a request to go West at 10:20 Pm. “Ohh I'm so angry. I got a pickup request (that was NOT a later time request). So I accepted. When I arrived it showed there was a 20 minute wait time for the customer's pickup. So now, I'm waiting for 20 fn minutes for a $4 trip. Turned my car off and am waiting. Part of me wants to just cancel because you have me all the way fkd up. submitted by /u/OwlOnASill [link] [comments]”

“Decided to take this ride today since it was a slow day, after it popped up twice as a match radar and then 2 minutes later came to me as exclusive. I usually won’t take this ride to Newark ap unless it 150$+ . submitted by /u/No-Potential3720 [link] [comments]”

“Might have to buy a lottery ticket. 3:20 this I signed in, immediately got two trash offers. Then I get an airport request, pickup is 16 miles away, going 34 to the airport, paying $70. I figure glitch, reservation or unseen surge. Accepted the ride, that 16 miles will take 25 minutes, I slowly head out, figuring they will cancel due to time. Get to the end of my neighborhood, get a message from rider: “hey, this was a reservation ride that I’m getting fucked on, I’m ready when you get here”. Sw”

In my area, if you go below 85% AR you cannot see the 1) time of the trip 2) the direction it's going 3) the pay for the fare I find that extremely”

“Hey everyone, just wanted to take a moment to appreciate the sheer, unadulterated engineering failure behind the Uber Reserve System . Let me break down the system that someone at Uber designed for us: Step 1: Accept a Reserve trip. Great! Everything is set. Step 2: You MUST go online 40 minutes before the Reserve trip pickup time. (No, you cannot go on break, and it shows 30 min) Step 3: Uber immediately sends you a pop-up ping for a 15-minute trip in the opposite direction. here is where th e”

“Uber is going overboard to have 31 offers not including trip radar in the first 4 minutes of driving. They glitched out and assigned me rides I had to cancel and obviously asking support to review it is a waste of time :( submitted by /u/Brilliant-Ocelot6859 [link] [comments]”

“Most of the time if I get a ride for a reservation it's because the original driver canceled and there isn't enough time for it to wait on the board so the system starts offering it to people like 10 or 20 minutes before the reservation time. Why on God's green earth would I sit outside this hotel for five fucking hours? submitted by /u/sharknado523 [link] [comments]”

“When I accepted a normal ride, immediately I saw another one that was somehow assigned for a specific time. I proceeded to drive to pick up a rider that I had accepted and completed the ride and then tried to figure out where I could find the reservation. Where on the app do we find reservations supposedly assigned to us? submitted by /u/Constant-Wing-2564 [link] [comments]”

“Accepted a $40 trip with 3 people, no stops. When nearing the first stop, I hear “drop-off updated” and I look and the initial final location became the first stop. Annoyed since I did an early trip to get closer to work, I accepted it and hoped the next drop-off wouldn’t be far away. Well when I get to the last stop… again, they both get out of the car and then one of them ask can you take me home, the person who Requested the uber is updating the ride. I reply “No another uber will pick you up”

“This past week I have been getting absurd back to back reservation requests. Uber has always underestimated drop offs (i.e. assuming a 1 minute drop off at John Wayne airport at 5:30 am on a Monday (5 minutes minimum). Now I’m getting requests that are mathematically impossible. Saturday I had a 5:30am pickup reservation from San Clemente to John Wayne Airport, 30 miles, estimated time 30 minutes, fare $21. I start getting back to back reservation requests that make no sense. Pickup in Irvine at”

“I dont understand why they do this its happened to me multiple times and everytime I cancel the ride. Uber needs to fix this, this isn't even the worse one thats happened. submitted by /u/TheMackTone87 [link] [comments]”

“I have literally had six different rides. I’ve accepted in under two hours that go to that trip radar, and then it says that all trips are taken while it’s trying to pair me to the ride I just accepted, like Uber, you should be fucking penalized for that. There is no reason why I accepted the ride/trip request, whatever you wanna call it, and then I don’t get paired with it. Why even fucking offer it to me in the first place? Goddamn, this app makes no fucking sense submitted by /u/A”
