“My 05 impreza 2.5 L RS recently started throwing a p0102 code. Harness was fine and no detectable vacuum leak after a few tests. Replaced the MAF with an aftermarket but couldn't clear the code. Drove it around 300km then took it to my mechanic. We spent about 2 hours trying…”

“BMW E92 335I. I have this issue every time the car sits for a few mins. This NEVER happens on a cold start where when the car sits for hours. It seems like it chokes for a couple seconds then the RPM’s rev up to 1500ish for a second. Sometimes it stalls once every here and there…”

“Not a mechanic by any means but my dodge is stalling when I apply the break. It hisses at idle and I replaced the break booster, but it’s still doing the same thing. Anyone else have this issue have any advice. My next move?”

“Hi all, a friend bought an under maintained 03 camry with a 1mzfe engine. We’ve done lots of major maintence so far including gaskets, coils, radiator and more. We’re stumped on this solenoid pictured. At first it was zip tied to the bottom of the…”

“2001 e46 m54 My car has been somewhat rough in idle so I went looking for vacuum leaks. Found this under the intake manifold. It just sat there right next to the oil separator on top of the bigger hose that comes out of it. What line is it, and where should it go? I couldn’t find it for my life. The space is pretty tight and my hands are pretty big. Also, I’m not a mechanic, I just try to diy some easy stuff on my car because I enjoy it. submitted by /u/CactussJackk [link] [com”

Drove it around 300km then took it to my mechanic. We spent about 2 hours trying different tests such as putting an OEM Denso sensor in but it just seems like the car can't read the new sensors. It drives "OK" but dies at idle here and there with the ac on low. Anyone encounter a simila”

It seems like it chokes for a couple seconds then the RPM’s rev up to 1500ish for a second. Sometimes it stalls once every here and there out the blue moon when it chokes, then I crank it again and it’s good to go. Does this seem like a fuel problem or maybe boost leak? I did have a P440p code but I cleared it and now awaiting to see if it comes back. I do”

“G’day, 1979 Toyota Hilux RN46 (18r-c) here. After recently redoing all the vacuum lines in the old girl, exactly according to the original diagrams, I’ve noticed 3 vacuum ports around the air cleaner that aren’t visible in the diagrams. Any help on those would be appreciated. 🙏 Also before I rule out the vacuum system as a possible reason for the slightly rough idle, if anyone has anything I should double check or look out for, let me know. “2011 Honda Odyssey EX-L 3.5L V6 218K miles. A few months ago, I noticed a chattering sound coming from the engine when the RPMs are above 2500. I took it in for a valve adjustment since they were last done around 100K miles. But the chatter remains. What else could be the cause? I figured it was maybe a lifter but they should have checked all of those when they did the valve adjustment. Or is it just due to the mileage it's gonna make some weird noises lol submitted by /u/ElG0dDa”

“Hello, I have an AUDI A3 8PA 2011 CAYC engine with VDO siemens piezo injectors. I wanted to know how to properly check the injectors‘ performance/work, because I have a very good OBD reader for that, which shows the injectors' performance (mg/stroke) cylinders injection quantity deviation, but I just don't know how to check it correctly. Should I check on a cold engine at idle (neutral), on a warm engine at idle (neutral), or even while driving? Maybe you know what the +- mg/stroke shoul”

“Not sure if this is the right spot to post here, but I have a modded 2012 genesis coupe 2.0t, and I was wondering what I needed for a aftermarket turbo kit. I have done a lot of mods and didn’t know if I needed to upgrade those too or if those would be ready for a aftermarket turbo. Mods: -550c injectors -3" exhaust all the way back including muffler (Beyond Redline brand) -SS flexible fuel line -catless downpipe -3" high flow SS cat -K&N short ram -Synapse BOV -Beyond Redline FMIC”

“I'm about half a quart or less low on transmission fluid after replacing transmission thermal valve with a bypass valve. With my fingers I'm having a hard time getting to the transmission fill port. I'm just old. Would it be acceptable to fill in excess in the transmission level drain plug then let whatever is in excess drain back out? I can access that plug just fine submitted by /u/DieingFetus [link] [comments]”
