“If you've been on YouTube for more than a year, you've probably heard things like: “Why are you doing this?”, “Can't you see it's not working?”, “Just give up,” and so on. How do you deal with the negativity? I’ve tried out a lot of hobbies over the years, and I’ve tried to…”
“Some will judge you, it comes down to ignoring any hate. In most cases, you probably won't get much negativity from people yoy know. It is your hobby. Br proud of it, and enjoy it [re: Hesitant to show my face on camera]”
“Posted my second YouTube video and already getting hate comments. I make videos about properties I find on housing listing websites (public domain). I admit there may have been certain parts of the video I shouldn’t have included, but seeing people rip into something you’ve put…”

“Sadly it's the internet, people just do this [re: Youtube comments piss me off sometimes]”
“I would be willing to bet 99% of you here have received some sort of criticism in your comment sections. Critical comments come in different forms… Some are constructive in good faith. And some are bad faith, looking to bash you, not help you, or are overall just pedantic. Now for the first comment type, even if they are in good faith, 9/10 times it’s still not good advice. It’s like if a high school soccer player goes up to Messi and tries to critique his game and tell him what he should do ins”

How do you deal with the negativity? I’ve tried out a lot of hobbies over the years, and I’ve tried to monetize a few of them. Of course, I can see for myself that some of my ideas are too simple and probably won’t work. But I just give them a shot, because you never know if they’ll work or not. I’ve often come”

“Posted my second YouTube video and already getting hate comments. I make videos about properties I find on housing listing websites (public domain). I admit there may have been certain parts of the video I shouldn’t have included, but seeing people rip into something you’ve put so much time into has knocked my confidence a bit. Should I remove the video? submitted by /u/shrubstick [link] [comments]”
“Almost any time I see a comment on YouTube criticising a video someone responds with „just stop watching“ or „if you do t like it don’t watch it“ or „you are just a hater“ without actually addressing the criticism. Do you think this is a valid argument? If it’s just pure hate of course it’s obvious but what about proper objective criticism? Is it not a fair point to just stop watching something you don’t like? submitted by /u/IngenuityDeep3542 [link] [comments]”
“I'm a fairly big creator and sometimes I get anxiety opening up my notifications or even reading my comments. Most of the time people are cool, but some people are way too comfortable just being rude or leaving hate. I know that it is the internet and hate is part of the invisible contract that I signed up for especially as a public figure, .. but like how does one deal with it? submitted by /u/West_Assumption_9998 [link] [comments]”
“Laugh them off. They don't mean anything anyways, and their engagement is still technically good for your channel. Most commenters will appreciate those folks don't get to you as well. If they keep doing it, I will engage back in some light trolling. The main thing is, it's not gonna stop, in fact, the better you get, the more you get it. There are a lot of people jealous you are doing something they wish they were doing.”
“Engagement is engagement no matter of the outcome. Thats why the word ragebait excist. Means there are creators that do things to get this negative comments or downvotes because they know that only helps them. Also negative comments attracts comments from other idiots that start a fight with them. My advice is simple ignore them laugh about it and invest your time in your content.”
“even the worst comment is free engagement so just let it sit there and rack up numbers. don't let some rando in the comments live rent-free in your head while you're trying to make stuff”
“Any comment helps push your video keep that in mind. In a weird way you should look at them commenting anything negative or positive as something that is helping you.”
“Hi! I am new to YouTube but my videos started to get views and interaction. I have face channel and every video hard to make so it is like piece of an art. But then there might be someone who might push comment not in a good manner. And I am very frustrated and my art level rapidly goes down. How do you handle this mentally? submitted by /u/tornorganize [link] [comments]”
“actually it was a bit of a boost for me since someone asked for the link as this post was climbing the ranks, but it wasn’t meant to be an ad, I was kinda just complaining about the state of yt and didn’t expect much engagement lol. I am 20 subs richer so that’s cool”
“Keep working you will get better, also I think you should have added a yt link post in your profile and pinned it, that way when this post was getting popular this reach could have been somewhat useful there.”
jokes on them, they are increasing your engagement which will help you :p
