“You are wasting your time.. YOUTUBE can at any moment demonetized you for the most unknown reason of: Generic Repetitive and No Value. Ive posted this more than once I think, a friend of mine had this issue and I see other's who do content that is of value.. no one can decide…”
“This is so unacceptable. I won’t be explaining the whole situation cause I think that’s it’s already a well known fact that YT has gotten worser. This issue has been already reported by CoryxKenshin for example (24,7 mln followers) 4 YEARS AGO and it hurts to see smaller…”
“Adds are not a sign of monetization. Youtube puts them on everything [re: How are channels like Gassy and IsaacWhy not demonetized??]”
Several creators report their channels were demonetized without clear explanation or recourse. Some believe it is a targeted effort, while others express frustration with constantly changing rules and lack of transparency from YouTube.

“You are wasting your time.. YOUTUBE can at any moment demonetized you for the most unknown reason of: Generic Repetitive and No Value. Ive posted this more than once I think, a friend of mine had this issue and I see other's who do content that is of value.. no one can decide what value is . Youtube can decide for no real reason to demonetize. Maybe do other platforms? Like tiktok, insta ? [re: Am I wasting my time? Should I bother?]”
“Is there a legal way to start a new channel if previous one has been demonetized? Can anyone share any insight on this ? Did anyone lose monitisation on one channel and successfully monitize another channel after that ? I'm not asking about a 'way around' circumvention like using diff emails / adsense. I wanna know if it's possibly normally. And obviously not involving the same content. Would appreciate some insight from people who have been through this. submitted by”
“even if you strip that out, the vast majority of people who make content or have made content (uploaded at least one video) will never earn anything. On top of that, the ones that do make it will most likely not earn much. There is only a small percentage of people that will get over all these hurtles and make actual money. If you do, you should consider yourself fortunate.”
“Seriously, recently alot of channels i watch have suddenly been demontized/banned from youtube, (mostly animators) have been recently hit, with multiple allegations of using "AI" while i absolutely agree on youtube banning AI videos, that have no meaning of content, however many animators, and videos that really do make great content has been unlawfully demonetized. This is serious, some of these creators, have quit there jobs, to make videos that make people happy, and suddenly they a”
“sounds like someones jealous here. typical. dont worry keep trying. maybe one day you can quit your fast food job and make money making cool videos”
“Regardless of the false claim about not getting permission, my guess is that it could be an automated thing. If YouTube targets such content as they describe, the algorithm/bot/whatever may have believed your content is of the same category and flagged it along with all the other AI slop from the website. If that's the case, that should get resolved if you show them you have permissions from the original creators where applicable.”
“Just know about it because a bunch of genuine people got demonitized recently and YouTube emailed them saying it was about AI. But they were false positives.”
“Just search "Why not attack" or "Why it sucks". Meanwhile I've seen channels that have real people talking in front of a camera demonitized. All the channels above are just AI slop. submitted by /u/HotUKTakes [link] [comments]”
“Closer to 99.9% of channels. Once you hit monetization, you are in the top 10% of YouTube channels already”
“This is so unacceptable. I won’t be explaining the whole situation cause I think that’s it’s already a well known fact that YT has gotten worser. This issue has been already reported by CoryxKenshin for example (24,7 mln followers) 4 YEARS AGO and it hurts to see smaller creators who put their blood sweat and tears into their work , literally get ignored and dumped by AUTOMATED REVIEWS. Are there any HUMAN moderators at all??? If you don’t address this, you’re gonna lose those who want to make m”
“As both an Alphabet shareholder and a paying YouTube premium customer, I disagree with the way YouTube is running their platform. If the concern is making sure content is advertiser friendly they are more then capable of analyzing the content of a YouTube creators video automatically using ai transcription tools to pair that content with the right advertisements that are best paired with that content. Because we all need to buy products and services, even your Trump supporting great uncle who ge”
“I see. So if the government teams up with business to censor, that's not censorship? If the government makes a law to tell businesses they have to ban a certain race from their business, that's not violating rights?”
“It might have to do with the outside political environment. YT may be wanting to align itself with the more authortarian MAGA control of the government, as these auditors are more of a libertarian alignment. Google has long allied itself with liberal causes and opposed the Republicans. This may be one small part of reversing that policy, by getting these auditors to step in line or no more $$$$$. I personally support the auditors and hope that they get monentized again. Perhaps Youtube could hav”

“Worth separating two things that get mixed together here, because the consequences are very different. Advertiser-friendly guidelines decide whether ads run on a given video. That's the yellow icon, it's per video, and you're right that it's advertiser preference rather than a rule violation. Channel monetization policies are a separate document and decide whether you're in YPP at all. That's where the July 2025 rename from "repetitious content" to "inauthe”
“I mean they would care about the kind of audience because there are audiences that are more marketable to. They would prefer paying for marketing that they can make money from. Let's point out that these companies hire marketing agencies. It's the marketing agencies that control things. Not the companies the agencies work for. It's like when there are brand lawsuits. Lawyer companies handle the time and costs to find companies to sue based on branding. It's not the billion dollar”
