“Randomly started getting first layer issues. I’ve done all the calibrations, replaced the nozzle and re-did all the calibrations again. I keep having this issue of the extrusion lines not closing up. Closest fix I’ve gotten is dropping z axis -0.02. Same model printed fine…”

“Hello - I'm fairly new to 3D printing and I'm working on adding an SVG to a deck box I'm working on. I added this SVG to the bottom of the model in Bambu studio as a modifier and did a test print. It looks…”

“I am new to 3d printing and just bought my first printer second hand, I tried to print it Vertically and horizontally, but both mess up the print. The one on the left is not fully rounded, and the one on the right has the bottom messed up. I also tried following this video: Cura Supports for Beginners: Tutorial & Recommend Settings! - YouTube but that did not fix it. I am using a ender 3 v2 neo, with Creality Hyper gold pla. Hot end is set to 200 and bed at 60, speed is 50, using UltiMaker C”

I keep having this issue of the extrusion lines not closing up. Closest fix I’ve gotten is dropping z axis -0.02. Same model printed fine before multiple times and prints fine on my P1P. This is happening on my Elegoo CC2 with CANVAS. The big square is a first layer test and you can see how crap the corners are. That was before dropping the z axis. Printing Eleg”

“Hey guys, relatively new to 3d printing and as fun as its been so far, I have a hiccup I keep running into. The first picture is the bottom side of my print, the second the top. The bottom side is pretty much a standard outcome whenever I use supports or even just a raft layer. Ive done some digging and have made some changes I've seen others recommend and it hasn't resolved my issue. This is PLA, I also run into the issue with ASA and ABS. Printer is a Bambu H2C. Thanks in advance for y”

“What could be the cause? Underextrusion? Something else? Using an Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 Combo, ESun PLA Basic filament (gray), Orcaslicer. Bottom is fine, sides (apart the ones in the pics) are fine. Functionally the part works as it's supposed to. Appreciate any and all comments and tips! submitted by /u/Mk4c1627 [link] [comments]”

“I ordered this print (Coco by Bulkamancer) and this one piece has some fitment issues, theres a big gap, that seems to get better if I press the pieces together but prolly should sit just fine as is. Is this something you'd fix with a putty paste, and would I need to sculpt the edge thing on the cape? If so, which kind of putty would work? Or do I glue both pieces while pressing down and wish for the best? Do I need to ask for a reprint instead? Thanks a lot guys! submitted by /u”

“I recently got a creality ender 3 as my first printer. The old owner told me it had been standing still for about a year. I started printing after some calibration. The print quality keeps getting better only i keep getting layer gaps. Does anyone know how to solve this? submitted by /u/ImprovementGuilty655 [link] [comments]”

“Hi, I’m having an issue with this print-in-place design. The model has multiple parts that are intentionally separated by a small gap so they can move independently. However, when I print it, the parts come out fused together because the small gaps are being filled during printing. Bottom view I tried in Cura setting Hole Horizontal Expansion to 0.1 mm , but it didn’t make any difference. And the other parameters are essentially at their default values. Normally, with my own designs, I print sep”

“I’m trying to fine tune my first 3d printers settings and I’m finally starting to get it down. How do I get rid of these gaps? I’m running a Elegoo Neptune 4 plus, elegoo wood PLA, and a .6 mm nozzle. I don’t know if it’s too fast or what exactly. Any help would be appreciated! submitted by /u/Watermalon_Head [link] [comments]”

“I have very little experience when it comes to 3D printing. I have a Quidi Xplus 3 and have had for about 2 years. over this time period i have printed multiple items, but of late it appears to almost be missing layers in many but not all prints. I use orca slicers but am not well versed in the settings. I have run all the configuration prints and these have come out fine. I have run the configuration on the machine itself, it auto bed levels with every print i do. I have run with multiple brand”

“Hello, a friend printed this for me and I’m not sure how I should go about filling the grooves on the back side of this print. There’s lots of layer lines and gaps from the support structure. I need to fill this in and sand it smooth, but I’m not sure what to fill it with. I saw that Bondo and spot putty can be used to fill holes, but it seems like these are for smaller gaps? Unless I’m wrong haha Thank you for any advice 🙏🏻 submitted by /u/Peanuts-the-Penguin [link] [comment”

“Hello, I'm using a prusa mk3s to print a flower pot right now, but the issue is applicable on almost every mid size to large print. I tried everything I could think of, retraction, lowering the nozzle temps, slowing and fastening the speeds, playing with the cooling, but all ends the same. And the filament is brand new, no issues on the benchy(that's why I'm thinking it is a config issue) Printing in matte PETG Nozzle: 255°C Bed: 70°C Flow:0.95 Any pointers on how to minimize the str”

“This is basically a finishing question , how can I make the line between two parts invisible? So I made these two prints just to test how I can make a big print divided in parts and looks like a single one , I tried to join them diagonally with a mechanical fit joint like the second picture , they fit but the line is still visible , I sanded it and added a primer but the line is still there as shown in the third picture , I am thinking about gluing them the next time without designing a”

“I’m using an AD5M Pro (Enclosed), for the most part this thing has had no troubles whatsoever in printing good quality stuff, but as of the last couple of months I’ve been getting these missing chunks of filament. I just finished recalibrating my filament settings, and there were seemingly no errors in the print of the pressure advance. Whole thing looked perfect. When I finished calibration, I printed this cube, and the issue was there again. I’m at a loss at to what this could be. Any ideas? &”
