“I have a 2010 mustang and it hit a deer! Well the grille is trash and the left fender, left headlight bucket, all need replaced. I just replace this left fender last year.... I am getting fender prices around $175usd and front bumper around 200usd. My question is, in the pics…”

“Nice mk3 👍 Looks like the car's been through it, probably not a DIY job if you're asking, and impossible to estimate cost without knowing what's going on underneath (which I'm guessing is a lot, judging by the mismatched quarter). Take it to a well reviewed body shop and get a…”

“I bet at least 1 of those headlights is damaged, alone with that core support and a bunch of the stuff in there. Unless you know what you’re looking at I wouldn’t touch it.”

“Please can someone advise if this will pass MOT? The damaged bumper I’m assuming will be fine it’s where the headlight is pushed in slightly, can I fix myself? I was scraped by someone in a car park while in the shop. Insurance are writing it off and I don’t know whether to keep the car and run it as is or for them to take it. Thank you! submitted by /u/FBALEARNER23 [link] [comments]”

“The other day a deer had jumped out of a bush while I was driving and it landed on my hood completely denting, also pushing out my side panel near the right of the hood, breaking my headlight fixture, and also slightly damaged my radiator. My car is a 2008 Honda civic ex with 174k miles. I’ve talked about it with a family member and they suggested I not report it unless I want my car salvaged. Is this true? I recently just put in about $1500 for a tune up and another $600 for a thermostat replac”

“Just looking for some opinions on the experience I've had getting my car repaired. My daughter hit a coyote in her 2021 Ford Escape. From a few feet away, the car looked fine other than a couple of cracks in the plastic grille. Her adaptive cruise wouldn't work so we took it in to a local body shop. After the collision, it had a check engine light. The shop said they would consider it non-drivable due to the check engine light possibly being a lack of air to the engine. I left the car wi”

“Around this time last year I hit a deer with my car. I finally want to fix it, and I'm wondering how much it's be. If it helps, the check engine light didnt turn on after I hit the deer. Its a 2024 Mitsubishi eclipse cross and I was wondering where i should go to fix it, and around how much to expect to pay? submitted by /u/jiminibabo70 [link] [comments]”

“Probably don’t even need heat. That piece isn’t structural nor will it impede safety in the event of another accident. Fix er on up”

I am getting fender prices around $175usd and front bumper around 200usd. My question is, in the pics below, you can see where the headlight goes is the problem area i am worried about. it got somewhat crushed. Could i heat this up and beat it back into shape. The fender attaches the one of the holes that is pushed back. Wi”

“2k id say is reasonable but you might be able to get cheaper if you find and install a headlight yourself”

“2017 ram 1500 5.7 crew cab. Was driving and deer came out of the woods, I swerved left and managed to hit it just on passenger side. Luckily only damage I could see was my passenger headlight was loose. Looks like plastic part of headlight retaining piece broke off as you can see in the first picture. Other picture is the drivers side which is still in tact. What would be the best way to fix this? Just buy a whole new headlight assembly? Thanks. submitted by /u/koshhh8 [link] [”

“Hello All!! I have very minimal car knowledge, and im trying to go about just..making this better ? I doubt i could fix it fully. My bumper and headlight were knocked out of place in a rear ending. I was able to push most of the bumper back into the mounting tabs , but theres a bent spot right there next to the headlight and the tabs arent popping in there. I also broke a mounting tab on the headlight so its not sitting correctly from the bent spot , upwards. How can i go about repairing any of”

“If it looks this bad outside, it’s gonna look worse under lights. I’d check replacement cost and go from there. Likely cut it off or push to paint. 16 year hail chaser.”

“2007 Dodge Ram Mega Cab met a tree out hunting and I decided it’s time to repair. Novice when it comes to body work. But it’s also older so doesn’t have to be perfect. Hoping I may be able to give it a little heat and pull with a plunger type of tool. If that’s a bad idea please let me know. Thanks submitted by /u/ClassicCampaign2869 [link] [comments]”

“Anything can be repaired but the question is at what costs. Its hard to tell anything really from the photo. Your local body shop is your best bet. Good luck with it.”

“Between ebay and marketplace or a junkyard, you should be able to find a new light for under $1000. Also, this is why we dont let people borrow our vehicles. Probably should have gotten rid of that Jeep a long time ago as well instead of continued sinking money into it.”

“Spendy those headlights are about 1600 each I hen need calibration now that’s just the headlight the rest probably over 5k”

“Aside from the gouge in the bumper. All of this should be able to be fixed in an afternoon. It’s just tweaks and whoever installed that tail light must be new.”
