“I currently live in an infested apartment and am moving in 4 days. I noticed roaches near the microwave so I assume they are living inside of it and was wondering the best way to vacate them from the microwave so I can take the appliance with me to my new place, I don't think the new place has roaches so I really don't want to be the one to bring them that would be horrible, any tips on the cheap would be greatly appreciated submitted by /u/misunderstood420 [link] [comm”
“For anyone who works in pest control i have had a hest treatment with chemical and 2 follow up chemical sprays. The follow up chemical sprays are 5 minutes long and i live in a studio apartment. Is that enough time for a spray? I am still finding bed bugs in couch after these tresrments submitted by /u/GeorgeCasey9 [link] [comments]”
“Since traveling to an airbnb (quirky granny unit) in Reno, I've been washing my sheets every few days. I've had some bites, but stopped the past couple of days. After line drying my sheets, I found this while putting them back on. Is it too small to be a bed bug? Could it be something else? Thanks! submitted by /u/allocatethesparrows [link] [comments]”
“So in the spring I left my apartment for 3 months there where only a few of them but when I came back in the fall 3 months later my apartment is infested with them, I had no food in my apartment (1 cleaned it all out before I left) and I have no house plants. I set some yellow sticky traps up but they seem to ignore the yellow sticky trap. They love light and heat, they fly near my face and body. I already boarded up my windows and cleaned my drains and I have no visible AC until. I already call”
“Found a few roaches crawling on the wall right next to my bed, and I’ve bought advion. I want to spray it before work in a few days, but I have 2 questions: 1) Do I need to completely remove my bedding beforehand if I spray the crevices of the wall? The bed is only a couple of inches away. 2) What kind of bottle do I use? The label says coarse, low pressure spray and I found this on Amazon. Is it good? submitted by /u/JustAnotherParticle [link] [comments]”
“So for reference, I moved to Cary, NC with my partner into our dream first apartment but the HUGE ROACHES will not stop. I’ve covered my drains and I plan on investing in a door sweep but we see these bugs maybe 3-4 times a week and I’ve had pest control in and out of here but to no avail. I used to be afraid of them four months ago but now I become a pro at killing them with how much they frequent our apartment. Is there ANY way to decrease the amount coming in or am I just cursed with this for”
“Me and my partner getting really down now. Mites are being found everywhere in our house. They just don’t go away they’re now on our bed. We’ve told the landlord as we’ve had them 6 months but don’t think he wants to spend the money. What can we do… I’ve cleaned for hours on end and nothing they come right back. It’s like he can’t see the urgency. All over clothes now and stuff too. I’m 99% sure they’re mold mites as there’s black mold in the house and only seem to go on clothes that have been h”
“its intolerable and the greatest curse ever, especially when you have no money we've had roaches for years, ever since we moved into this house nothing has worked so we just get pest control done every 6 months. we've sort of learned to live with them. the only solution we've been told by everyone is to break down the kitchen walls and get them redone since no amount of pest control will get rid of all them them hidden inside. and we genuinely cannot afford that. i thought that was bad”
“Our house is being bombarded with roaches, we dont even have a dirty/unsanitary house yet there are so many. We do not have easy access to pest control, and we live in military housing so we cannot take any part of the house down or move things around to find where they are coming from/kill the family, google says to caulk out where they may live, but from what ive seen they live in our literal sink which would not be handy to caulk up. im gonna lose my mind someday submitted by /u/d”
“I just rented this apartment and Ive found millions of this insect, no cleaning would make it go away. I used all chemicals possible, except this last time I cleaned with chemicals for crawling insects and fleas and turned on the AC for 3 days to the lowest temp then this happened, they showed up, millions of them but they’re not moving. I’m not sure if they’re dead or are these just eggs or what is even that thing😂😭 submitted by /u/blackcatvows [link] [comments]”

“I just checked into an Air B&B that I have reserved for two months. Upon entering there was a massive cockroach (unsure of the type) that I did not get a photo of. While trying to take care of that I killed another (photo attached) and found these weird pellets that look possibly like mouse droppings in the bathroom. When picked up with tissue they squished easily. There were about five of them scattered about. The rental is a single room/studio with kitchenette and bathroom in Southern Cali”
“So im renting this house, and about 2 weeks ago we started getting flies, jt was a only a few at the time so I didnt think anything of, but we noticed the kitchen sink was leaking into the cabinet underneath. We assume the flies were from that and we got it fixed. But the flies continued to multiply. So we got one of those zevo traps but they were only picking up like 3 flies a day. Roommate and I did some digging and we had potatoes that smelled really bad, so threw those out a couple of days a”

“Hey guys. My parents have found a bedbug in one of the bedrooms of their house and have started treating the issue. They called a professional who said that the infestation seemed not severe and gave recommendations on what to do and what products to use and they will keep him updated. They have thrown out the guilty mattress and the other risky stuff in that room (other mattress, sofa) and plan to throw out everything else in the house and buy new stuff when the infestation seems to be”
“What can i do to stop this asain beetle infestation, or atleast things to help in any way. Im waiting for my parents to get their pest control out and treat the house but in the mean time im losing my mind. I find them in my clothes, shower, bed, my babys crib, i cant sleep more than a few hours without waking up and itching cause im terrified theyre on me again or on my baby. Is there any options other than vaccuming them up?? Anything i can do in the mean time to keep my sanity?? Im so sleep d”
“I vaccumed and checked every baseboard, the carpet, every inch of my bed, and found no signs of infestation.. yet every couple of weeks I find 1 - 2 unfed bed bugs, freak out, heat treat it all, spray every chemical I can, think i'm safe, then see more. So i followed more of reddit advice with the DE powder and Crossfire, I have sprinkled and sprayed that stuff everywhere it directs. My question is, will it even work if I find no actual nest / infestation site? I only find the bugs on 1 weig”
“help! is this a bed bug or a cockroach? Found in the day on the mattress but we had put down insecticide at night as we had suspicions something was going on. We live in the UK but the cat has been eating food which has been slipping under the floor boards. “Hello, I need advice from pest control professionals regarding the Aprehend begbug treatment. I'm a renter and my apartment had a minor infestation of bedbugs, through no fault of my own (tenant above tried to DIY treat their larger infestation and the bigs spread to my unit). The apartment co hired pest control, and they sprayed the Aprehend bedbug treatment in our unit and on affected furniture. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get a few of my questions answered about the treatment”
“Moving to a new place and found dropping in a couple kitchen drawers. They sent a pest control guy out and he said it was roaches and treated. Now I’m gonna go clean it up, but I’m wondering the way to get rid of the strong musty odor in those drawers. Vinegar? submitted by /u/lady_driver13 [link] [comments]”
“You need to spray APC or other higher ph cleaner to break down the bug guts.”
“I only ever saw one adult bug and 1 nymph in our pillow board which we threw away 5 weeks ago. We haven’t seen any other signs since (no dead bbs, no skin sheds, no fecal stains, no eggs) we’ve had 2 spray treatments and the last one (2 weeks ago) exterminator said they are likely all gone and that it was a very low presence of them in the first place. Debating if I should call my landlord to have him come back this week to spray one last time. I had a single “bite” on my ankle about 20 days ago”
“I had bug bites overnight for a couple night -- couldn't find signs of bedbugs, but did find a live flea and many dried pupa casings (I think) on my sheets. I don't have any pets, but I live in a multi-unit home where other apartments have cats. Located in North Western NY. I'm washing/drying everything I can on high heat, steam cleaning pillows and rugs, and using a household flea killing spray where I can. The thing I'm not sure about is my mattress topper and its cover. It'”
“This is no big deal at all. All you need to do is fill some bottle caps with boric acid and put them in the corners of the upper cabinets. Takes two weeks and cost $1.24. Doesn’t stink like the spray and unlike the spray, it works”
“In the last week I’ve watched my (19) and my mother’s apartment go from having zero bugs except house spiders to one or two house flies to right now about thirty. The house isn’t exactly deep cleaned but it is cleaned the kitchen recently cleaned and there’s nothing apparently messy or especially anything left out. I have an idea that it is because a skunk died on the street outside of our apartment, so they’re here and migrated. But nonetheless when I got home tonight it was like thirty instead”
“For 4 months I've been bitten by bed bug. It only bites once in a week and bites one at one place sometimes 2. I got so serious reaction to it that I got blood infection and it's getting worse day by day. The moment I recover I get bitten. About 1 week ago I caught one and told the landlord. He bought this spray and sprayed bed and mattress then later I sprayed the wardrobe too I have kitchen cabinets in my room but because of food I couldn't spray there. Even when we're spraying”
“Labour day I noticed two clusters of bites that I was fairly certain were bed bugs. This was 5 bites total. I panicked and called the first exterminator that was able to come out the next day. I’m worried that they may not be the best because I feel like I’m getting conflicting information from them and that they’re not being upfront with me/taking advantage of my panic. And I will admit I’m not thinking clearly. They came out with a dog that alerted to bugs both on my bed and my couch. They cam”
“We have been dealing with bedbugs in our flat for just over a year now. Had professional treatment from pest control using pesticide. No sightings for 7 months, then bedbugs. The pest control girl said it couldn’t be an infestation from another flat, because she would see them on our ceilings and walls and it would be very obvious we had them. I think she was trying to reassure me. She also said I didn’t have to heat treat every item of clothing in my flat because the pesticide would work, so I”
“Hello, I’ve had bedbugs for around a year now 🙃 We got professional treatment last August over 6 weeks, a girl came and sprayed our flat then used a fog bomb. No bedbug signs until February this year. We have a sofa bed and our ottoman bed we use - both fabric. I’ve seen signs of the bugs over the past few months. I’ve seen 3 unfed dead adults, and 1 live unfed adult. I don’t even know if it’s positive I haven’t seen any young ones or fed ones because I SEE THE ADULTS ANYWAY I treated my flat w”
“I never put my stuff back into the cabinets/drawers/under sink in the kitchen after our first spray 6 weeks ago. We had 3 so far, and a 4th coming soon. Is this bad? Since the spray is not a bait, but rather they have to touch it to kill them. If there is nothing in the cabinets, will they even go in them? The cabinets, drawers, under sink, and floorboards were sprayed for German cockroaches. submitted by /u/MajesticLorikeet [link] [comments]”
“Hi everyone, It’s 4 AM and I’m writing this because I honestly don’t know what to do anymore. We’ve been dealing with bed bugs for over a month now and it’s becoming exhausting, both mentally and financially. We first found them in our bed on August 10. The next day we found them in our 1-year-old son’s bed too, and noticed bites on him. That was probably the worst moment of this whole thing. We threw away the beds and mattresses, bagged everything, washed whatever we could at 60°C/140°F and put”
“Hi all! I made a prior post about trying to convince my family we indeed had bed bugs. Now, over the course of 3 months, i only confirmed 4 bed bugs total to be found, with the second one leading to me bug bombing the room, throwing everything in the washer and dryer, and spraying everything with what we thought was an effective spray (turns out, my dad got the wrong spray that he so heavily promised me would help.) Today I saw 2 in my blankets, which are being washed and tossed in the dryer for”
“Hey guys I made a post about this the other day but I had found bugs in my college dorm that look to be bed bugs or roaches. Either way my college housing is going back a fourth telling me different things. And then today I was told pest control came and found nothing. I’m not sure how that is possible if I literally have photos of them on my wall and on my bed. I have even slept there one night. I attached the photos of them again the tiny ones were on my wall and they were slightly yellow in c”
“So I kept seeing these small, brown with stripped insects on my bed. It started with 1, told my dad after I freaked out and crushed he, he swore it was a tick from the dog. 3 months after coming home from work, where i had seen bugs on the communal fab suits before, i see another one on my bed after sitting on it in my work clothes. My dad said it was in my head, but we did full treatment anyways according to how he was trained to deal with infestations by a prior job he had. We bed bug fogged t”
“We moved in almost 3 months ago and in July we had the best pest control guy. He’d come when either one of us was home and was very informative of what he was doing (always explaining what each thing did, what to do when we clean, etc) and he would spray every crack and crevice which usually took him around 5-7 minutes after moving around the stove and fridge. He would even spray outside our door too. He was genuinely amazing. This month though, there is now a new pest control guy who showed up”
“I have a big problem. And i now it's been almost 12 hours on and off crying, interrupted by some panic attacks and 3hour shower. We don't have pets. We are not on the zero level floor. Is someone able to identify these blood suckers? PS i hope i wake up tomorrow and it was all just a bad dream submitted by /u/Old-Sail-7080 [link] [comments]”
“Instead of insecticides use mosquito bits- it’s a live bacteria that affects the insects alkaline digestive system. It won’t harm anything else, like pets or humans, just the insects. There’s instructions online for making a “tea” out of the granules. It’s super safe and effective.”
“We previously had confirmed bed bugs and received 3 professional treatments over about 3 weeks. Pest control eventually inspected and told us we were clear. We went about 6 weeks without seeing anything, until today when we found this single bug during the daytime. No bites or other signs so far. It also seemed to move pretty fast, noticeably faster than the bed bugs I saw before. First 5 photos are from today. The last photos are from our previous confirmed bed bugs for comparison. Does the new”
“I moved into my apartment my college leases a week ago and this week I came back. Everything seemed fine on the mattress and no signs of bed bugs. But when I made my bed and went to take a nap a bunch of bugs started crawling on the wall my bed was up against. These mattress and bed frames are given by the college. The small one I saw on the wall were yellow and smaller in person. I then killed 2 bigger ones that were brown. I started checking my bed again and still couldn’t find anything so I t”

“I moved into a rented house recently and I saw few bugs and flies in the house. I found a pesticide in my farmhouse and it was labelled Profenofos 40% + Cypermethrin 4% . I diluted 100 ml of this in 1 litre of water and sprayed it on all wall corners, inside kitchen cabinet and door frames and let the house sit tight closed for 2 days and then walked into few dead insects in the house. But it’s been 1 week since that the smell of strong insecticide is still lingering. It makes my eyes watery and”

I am not a bug person and freaked out. left the house stayed somewhere else cleaning all the clothes we brought with us when we got there and putting on fresh clothes from the place we were staying bef”
“We're dealing with a cockroach infestation (yes, Orkin is on it) and a number of them made a nest in here. Naturally, cleaning it gets to be my responsibility. As you can see, the main body appears to be divided into two sections, and as you can tell from the last picture, there are no exposed screws to work with and the body doesn't twist apart. I asked maintenance to replace it, but unless it's dysfunctional or dead, then they won't do it. I won't know if either will be the”
“AT MY WIT’S END: Persistent biting infestation in flat despite sealing everything, deep cleaning, and fan setups. What am I missing?! I am writing this at my absolute limit. I haven’t slept properly in a month, I’m physically and mentally exhausted, and I am losing my mind in my own home. I need help, fresh eyes, or anyone who has dealt with this specific nightmare in a UK flat. The Problem: I am being relentlessly bitten by microscopic, airborne pests indoors (I suspect biting midges / Culi”
“hi all, i’m in a 6th floor apartment in new york city and have been having issues with bugs (mostly roaches) coming through the electric baseboard heaters. our apartment has pest control and we’ve sprayed around the baseboards. i’ve currently got duct tape over them since it’s summer and i’m not using the heat, but i was wondering if there might be some sort of mesh anti-bug cover i could put over the heater? i am absolutely terrified of bugs so yes, i know this might be overkill but i am at my”
“Retired teacher. I was never afraid of lice. Not that easy to get exposure unless you shared headgear, pillows, etc. Easy to combat, easy (but tedious) to get rid of. Bedbugs are a different story. One of my students was directed to put his jacket, bookbag, etc. in a plastic tub in a corner of gym locker room when he arrived in the morning. Then he’d bring his books/necessities to class (5th grade). Which doesn’t really help because we’ve seen bedbugs in between pages of books. I felt sorry for”
“My old high school we would get bedbugs at least once or twice a year brought into our classrooms. I don’t remember any Teacher ever actually bringing them home. The room would be cleaned by some company and not used for a couple days.”

“Sorry for the potato quality photos. Do these look like bed bug eggs? I know most of it is debris but there were small clusters that are difficult to see here. I lifted my couch cushion to vacuum and saw all of this underneath it. Bug infestations are one of my most debilitating phobias so I’m pretty unwell about it. I checked the cracks of my couch where the back conjoins and didn’t see any adults or poop but I’m pretty sure I saw a couple very small nymphs. submitted by /u/Select-S”
“I gave the 14 days post-treatment of keeping my kitchen relatively bare (I had a box of the things I use every day in there). I figured it was finally time to get my kitchen looking normal again, and opened the cupboard to give it a good wipe down before I put everything back - and there was a cockroach running around. By the time I got something to kill, it was gone. I live in an old apartment building and I think there are a lot of cracks that they can easily sneak through. I am so upset by th”

Room has been locked by now and most of stuff has been put to bin bags. Any advice how to take it from here? I've”

“Hi all. My GF and I were doing some laundry yesterday and we found a bed bug crawling on a pillow on our bed. Searched everywhere, mattress, pillows, couch, chairs, trim and molding, clothes in drawers and in closets, etc. Found only the one. No eggs, poop, nothing. Literally only the one. Problem is the one we found managed to jump from the paper towel we had it in and skitter away. Not sure where it went after. Bagged our mattress and put glue traps under the legs of our bed. We also went ahea”
“Hi, I moved into a new flat and noticed bites after my first night. I started checking the mattress and found signs of bed bug excrements. a pest control company came by to check the flat and only found signs in my bedroom (on the mattress and bed frame). they said it was an early infestation, so I replaced my mattress and we still heat treated and chemically treated the whole flat. strangely, the pest control guy said we could clean the flat 24 hours after treatment (contrary to what most websi”
