“Hello!!! My son is 14 a huge lover of music. Last year he asked me to sign him up for drum lessons so I signed him up around May of last year. He was liking lessons so I bought him a drum kit. He never practices. He goes to lessons once a week but that’s it. I encourage him to…”

“Hey Dads - curious if anyone has ran into this. I’ve played guitar and sang silly songs for my son since the day he was born. All of a sudden he now screams and is furious when I pull it off the stand and go to play. This has been ongoing for maybe 2 months. I keep expecting him to get over it, but no he really and truly hates it. Wondering if any other music dads have ran into this and any tips??? submitted by /u/ILikeTheWayYouGroove [link] [comments]”
“My son will be 10 soon and I have no idea at all. He doesn't want anything specific....so I have no clue at all. Any tips will be appreciated. submitted by /u/Calisthenics76 [link] [comments]”
“We got it for my toddler, ended up making a tower with a garage! Who enjoyed more? Yes fellow dads, me. My wife commented that I should get more just for myself. submitted by /u/bsb_hardik [link] [comments]”
“My almost 7 yo is in a big lock phase and really, really wants to learn how to pick locks. He claims he’d only pick his own locks, but… Does anyone have ideas for a satisfying, more legal alternative? His bday is coming up and he’s really pushing for lock-picking books. Maybe get him a book but not equipment? submitted by /u/Only-Mulberry-1347 [link] [comments]”

“My 7-year-old wants to learn guitar, but knowing my kid, a wooden acoustic is going to get smashed within a week. I've seen those carbon fiber mini guitars that looks solid. Are they actually worth it for a kid, or is there a better choice? what are your kids currently beating up? Need something cheap and tough enough to survive. submitted by /u/chinmoy007 [link] [comments]”
“I’m wondering what experiences other dads have had with kid-friendly guitars (like Loog) with their young children. My son is turning 6 soon; I want to encourage him to learn and instrument, but I also don’t want to get him a gift that ends up as another forgotten toy because he’s not ready for it developmentally. Any guidance on when you started your kids on learning instruments is greatly appreciated! submitted by /u/sweetnighter [link] [comments]”
“My fellow dads, I come to you today as already an honorable member of this distinguished club, to announce that #2 has been confirmed! We have a 7 year old daughter right now, and she still doesn’t know…we are waiting for some things to arrive to make a surprise announcement for her, but I had to tell someone else because I am STOKED🫡 Any advice the second time around that helped you guys? I feel like we have it handled for the most part, but I will take any and all hacks as it has been awhile!”
