I know it's a clogging issue, so I've removed and strip cleaned the nozzle but I'm still getting the same failure. Attached are photos of the failed print and the filament at the print head when I pull it out. the feeder is as loose as it can go but it's still chewing my material slightly. I have an Ultimaker 2. I'm using standard 2.85mm PLA and the default settings in both the printer a”

I had some success unclogging her earlier, but she's been making a juddering noise, and the cog that turns on the extruder can't spin unless I manually press the lever, I've tried turning the extruder to 240 degrees, but nothing is coming out. The manual also suggested I take a thin needle and poke the extruder, but my needle doesn't go far (it's a seed bead needle and the thinnest I have on hand) I'm at a bit of a loss as I'm awful with”
“Hi yall! TLDR: To reduce clogging significantly I took these 3 steps: - Unclog nozzle thorougly, - reduce temps, up minimum and fan speeds, reduce retract, reduce minimum layer time - print purge tower slightly higher than your part with 0.24 or thicker layer and a infill pattern that moves a lot of filament quick, to "flush" the nozzle like every other layer during your print. Sorry in advance for the quality of the pictures. I pulled them from a whatsapp chat, where I was venting. I”
“Hi, total noob to 3D printing here, looking for help with my printer. So, my A1's hotend clogged mid-print, and I've been trying all the solutions I could find online with no success. (including the wiki.) Thing is the clog is pretty deep inside the hotend where I can't reach it with pliers. (Tried taking a photo to upload here, but you can't even see it, that's how far down it is.) I've tried cold pulling by heating to 170C and pulling at 80, but it wouldn't budge. T”
“Hi, I have a Neptune 4 pro using elegoo PLA. I have a clog that I haven't been able to unclog. I already did everything I know of. Cold pull, nozzle switch, tried heating at 300°C, switched Bowden tube, heated the hotend with a heat gun, disassembled the print head, but I just can't get the filament out. It doesn't want to move at all The clog seems to be right on the hotend and I just can't get it to unclog. I don't know what else to do. submitted by /u/ogdchm [l”
“My Bamboo P2S with a 0.4mm nozzle and AMS 2 PRO was giving me errors that the motor that pushes the filament through the tool head was getting over loaded half way through prints. So I did a cold pull and re-lubricated everything just in case (I did accidentally grease the linear road instead of oil them, don’t know if that’s a potential problem.) After that I recalibrated everything and started a new print with silk PLA at a nozzle temp of 230c and a bed temp of 60c at the standard speed with t”
“Sent a print wirelessly while I was at work. PLA. 3 small shelfs for sunglasses. Came home to a tray full of “spaghetti”, the tool cover off, and this “clog”? Any idea what I do now? submitted by /u/JiMbORS [link] [comments]”
“i dont know what the issue is. nozzle isnt clogged and i switched to a new one (this is the 4. print looking like this in a row) Material is calibrated, print is at 270c with max flow at 15mm3 and max speed is 250mm for inner walls printer is x2d, chamber is 65c and bed is 100c my guess is i print too fast? however i printed vases at 20mm3 flow and 300mm2 speed which hat no issues flowrate is 0.91, tested 0.95 and 0.93 no diffrence. it is calibrated to 0.91 which feels the smoothest on the test”
“EDIT I goofed up the info. basic PLA, Bambu lab A1 I can switch back to 0.4 just fine. This is the 2nd time this has happened I had to replace my first 0.2mm nozzle. This one is BRAND NEW And now it has these dark spots and filament stopped coming out mid print. Is it melted shut? Has anyone seen this issue before? submitted by /u/That1NerdNoel [link] [comments]”
“Just curious if anyone has encountered this before and what could be the cause. Using a1 with an ams lite top mounted. Just finished a print using slot 3, pla matte black. Print was great, awesome. Take the print off, start the next print, suddenly that same slot is blocked and filament can't be pushed. My solution has been to pull the filament out all the way, snip the end and then feed it back in and its suddenly good again. This has happened 4 prints in a row now. Didn't know if anyon”
“It's pla fillament and it's stuck in the gap between where the ptfe tube comes in and the hot end. The worst part is that it's a day old. If any more info would be needed to solve this I can provide. submitted by /u/Neon_Pancakes0425 [link] [comments]”
“My Ender 3 V3 SE is experiencing frequent clogs. I noticed that the hotend heatsink is getting too hot, causing the PLA to melt prematurely and leading to clogs. So I have to remove the PLA and start over. The solution would be to keep the hotend cooling fan running constantly. How can I do that? The fan only turns on after a few layers. I’ve read that it should already turn on at around 50°C, but mine doesn’t. So with every print, I have to manually turn the fan on. How can I configure the prin”
“so i used this blue pla silk and it clogged my nozzle and i could unclogg, try cold and hot pull, try headting up, cleaning with the needle, even tryied heating the needle, nothing works, tried to claen with that l key that came with because was the only one small enought to go trough, even try with a small scisor. nothing worked, i wanna know if this is a common problem with that kind of pla, because before i started using that one i wasnt having any problem with, i bougt and use two other norm”
“Hi everyone, I’m running into a persistent clogging issue on my Ender-3 V3 SE printing PETG, and I could really use some help diagnosing it. Every print fails after about 4 to 8 minutes. The extruder stops feeding filament and starts grinding. When I pull the filament out, the end is swollen into a plug/mushroom shape, which points directly to heat creep. What I’ve already tried: Lowered temperatures: Dropped nozzle temp down to 235 °C (bed at 70-80 °C). Reduced retraction: Reduced retraction di”
“I have an ender 3 ke. That my mum got me for my birthday in April. But The filament gets stuck like a cm below where you enter it. Ive tried using the defult anti clogger stick but it to hitd the samemhard surfsce. Anyone got any ideas? submitted by /u/Front-Interview4148 [link] [comments]”
“So had a couple of interesting print failures the other day; both prints failed at exactly the same layer with a major hot end clog and a jammed extruder (first time for me that both things happened at the same time ). I could not figure out for the life of me what was causing this, and had an idea: I was ironing the top surfaces of this piece because it is a display stand for another 3D print. I turned off ironing and the print completed just fine. Turns out the doing so much ironing caused the”
“Last post had no text not sure why. New Centuri Carbon 2 has printed fine for 20-30 hours but now does this. factory reset and cleared possible clog but issue continues. Could it be filiment? I use elegoo pla submitted by /u/AtlasHasFallen76 [link] [comments]”
“Finally had a nozzle clog after eight months of heavy printing. Fortunately a cleaning pick forced most of the filament out, but then I got to enjoy the particulars of holding an active heating element with an oven mitt to do a cold pull. 250°C to push in, then 90°C to pull it out, and had some burnt delicious stuff in there. Ran a ten hour print, and Eureka! She prints! submitted by /u/Ghargauloth [link] [comments]”
“Should I just replace the whole thing or is there a good way anyone knows of to remove this stuck filament piece? Thank you! submitted by /u/ResponsiblePlenty560 [link] [comments]”
“Been occasionally getting this random weird physical clog in my sv08’s extruder, but this was the first time it happened like this. I am genuinely baffled, maybe somebody has an explanation. submitted by /u/Professional-Lion561 [link] [comments]”
“My prints had massive gaps so I heard it was from a partial clog. Cold pull did nothing so I opened it up and found a ton of filament it the heat block. I cleaned it up, unscrewed and rescrewed the Bowden tube then completely screwed the nozzle, now it’s completely clogged. I slightly unscrewed the nozzle about 1-2 full turns but still nothing submitted by /u/AbjectMistake5108 [link] [comments]”
