“We have 2 big dogs and 2 cats, we just moved into a house with carpet and I would love to get an amazing vacuum. I don’t care if it’s a stick one, or one with a large dust compartment, I just want it to work well. We messed up and bought a cheap $45 stick vacuum and it died within two uses 🤦🏼♀️ but I feel so lost cause some of these vacuum prices are crazy!! What vacuum would you recommend in the $200-$300 range? submitted by /u/teach_mehowto_duggy [link] [comments]”

We've gone through 3 very expensive shark vacuums in 3 years and I'm honestly sick of it. I need recommendations for vacuums that can withstand the filth, are easy to clean out, and will last longer than a year submitted by /u/OutsideSecond5837 [link] [comments]”
“Are there any vacuum / mop all in ones on the market that actual work really well and get right up to the edges ? I had a tineco years ago and never used it as it left a huge gap to the walls and was so weak and didn’t clean up anything well . Don’t want to waste money again . Bonus points if it is cordless but that’s not necessary . Thanks ! submitted by /u/mammabear123_ [link] [comments]”
“How does everyone feel about the mattress vacuums? Are they really much better than using the attatchments off a regular good vacuum? If so, are there any recommendations or what are the best options that you have ever tried? We mainly use to clean my matress, occasionally. submitted by /u/No_Bug100 [link] [comments]”
“Basically as the title says, looking for a good vacuum without any useless technology that will hold up for a medium sized household, less than 200 bucks preferably but if slightly more that’s okay. Any help would be greatly appreciated submitted by /u/Careless_Quality9527 [link] [comments]”
“Looking to buy an electric mop/ vacuum for making cleaning hard floors easier. We have a Bissel steam one but it doesn’t work that good- and it’s super heavy and corded. We were looking at maybe buying one of the newer Tineco models. submitted by /u/MeetDeathTonight [link] [comments]”
“Hi! I'm thinking about investing in a steam mop because I have a cat that is extremely interested in the mop bucket and mop water. He's also an escape artist so he escapes from the rooms he gets locked in and tries to explore the mop bucket or the area that was just mopped. Does anyone have an recommendations on a steam mop? We have no carpet, just vinyl and tile if that matters. submitted by /u/CarobTypical9736 [link] [comments]”
“hey all! i’m looking to get a swiffer that i can use to keep up with floor mess in between like using my actual mop, but i am stuck between the power mop or the wet jet. the thing is, i had an old wet jet that worked up until last year when it decided to crap out on me. meaning i have extra pads and solution for the wetjet just laying around. but ive heard the power mop cleans better and is the preferred choice. what should i get? any suggestions? thanks! submitted by /u/StarInterest”
“Hi all- looking to buy a real adult vacuum cleaner. We have a dog with relentless shedding and I need my house CLEAN. I’m talking the vacuum cleaners our mother would lug all around the house with a mile long cord while they cursed our father’s names. The ones cleaning ladies use to gaslight us into thinking we need them weekly. Plssss submitted by /u/Pie-Dry [link] [comments]”
“I bought one to try... It sort of works. I've used it in my car and on my couch. It basically just hangs out in the clutter curver if the counter and barely gets used. I've found lint rollers are just quicker, but if you'd rather use this than a lint roller, then they might be up your alley. I'm not s pro, just a weekend car wash nerd.”
“My current vacuum cleaner capacity is tiny, I have to empty it 3 times just to clean my 2 bedroom apartment. It's so annoying, I have a dog that sheds. I'm in the US, budget $150-250. What vacuum cleaner this year with good capacity are you using? Need price and capacity balance. Reason is I live in 80sqm apartment with dog and vacuuming daily, emptying tiny dustbin 3 times per clean is killing me. submitted by /u/Wonderanity_I [link] [comments]”
“hi, I recently bought my first home and it’s a lot dirtier than we expected. Two huge dogs left hair everywhere and general cleaning maintenance by previous owners didn’t go very far at all. I’m asking for your best tips to get a deep clean! I also have wood cabinets and am wondering what works best to wipe those down with to get any dirt and grime. Thank you!!! submitted by /u/Happily_me1427 [link] [comments]”
“hello! i have 3 big dogs and two cats and am looking to replace my bissell pet vacuum. i hated how bulky our vacuum was and it broke within 2 years of use. looking for something lighter, will last, and relatively cheap ($80-150). need advice! submitted by /u/curlycow420 [link] [comments]”
“Hi there, currently I’m using a really old Samsung cordless vacuum. It has lost a lot of its power (can’t even vacuum spilled rice) and therefore I have to sweep a lot. I like a clean home, and I want to invest in a good vacuum cleaner. I’m looking for; -preferably a cordless one, I have adhd and háte dealing with a cord. -it has to be able to vacuum cat kibble and stuff. -I have one cat and two small kids, so it has to be suitable for that household. -I don’t have any carpet, might get a rug ag”
“I have been trying everything, and my clothes are always full of fur from my two cats. No matter what I try, I can't get rid of it. I heard a dryer works well for that, but while searching with an AI for one, I really didn't like its suggestions. For most of them, I could not find the exact models in stores here in my country because they were US models. Everything it gave me for Europe had no reviews here, so I can't trust those suggestions. Does anyone have good recommendations? Fr”
“Want to ask for suggestion on air purifier to eliminate pet hair/dander as much as possible. My 11yo is getting asthma from the allergens and we are not willing to give up our dogs (and rabbits). submitted by /u/Every_Following7689 [link] [comments]”
“for whatever reason, my house is always extremely dusty. i use air purifiers, dehumidifiers, i open the windows daily (unless it’s raining), i clean with products that don’t leave a sticky residue, i vacuum almost daily, everything gets put away immediately after use, i keep on top of properly grooming my dog and cat. i clean my ceilings, walls, baseboards, skirtings, windows, fly screens, doors. i move my furniture so every nook and cranny gets thoroughly cleaned.. yet still everything is ALWAY”
“I just moved into a new home 700 ft.² hard flooring wood can anyone please recommend a good vacuum and mop combo preferably from Best Buy Or anything that will make the job faster than traditional, mopping, and sweeping submitted by /u/Thevictoreffect [link] [comments]”
“Past spot-cleaning on an 8x10 and every option seems bad. Professional cleaning was quoted at $150-300 and it's gone for a week, a rental extractor leaves it damp for days, and hosing it outside only works if you have the space and the weather. Is a big rug just a consumable you replace every few years, or is there an actual answer here? submitted by /u/EnvironmentalDot9131 [link] [comments]”
“Hello! I am wanting a corded vacuum, great for pet hair, but reasonable price. The last vacuum I had was a shark and I loved it! But… it was $400 and I just can’t afford that right now. What are your guys’ favorites? I tend to think the corded vacuums are more powerful, but I’m open to any suggestions. Thank you! submitted by /u/HauntingYou4812 [link] [comments]”
“(I’m in Aus if that changes what’s available) We just have an old vacuum that’s 10+ years old, has no suction and you have to lug it around everywhere. Would love a Dyson but they’re a bit too expensive and I’ve heard the battery doesn’t last long anyway. Any recs on good ones that can do it all? Preferably something under $300aud submitted by /u/Virtual-Crow-8038 [link] [comments]”
“Is there a supermarket or dollar store cleaner that would be good/ok to use in a SpotBot as a substitute for the Bissell brand cleaner? submitted by /u/Fancy_Ad_9479 [link] [comments]”
“I am about to move out and love the dyson but I’m not trying to spend dyson money. I just need something efficient that will last at least a year. Preferably small (my apartment is so tiny) and with attachments so I can get corners and such. Also good for cat hair. Under $100 would be ideal. I would prefer cordless but I’ve had cordless ones give out within a couple months. submitted by /u/Present-Message8740 [link] [comments]”
“Does anyone have recommendations for a good leaf vacuum? I've only used blowers in the past and mine recently stopped working. Vacuums seem like a way better idea than blowers. submitted by /u/RainbowMuffinCookie [link] [comments]”
“I’m looking for a good vacuum that works well with pet hair and crumbs in both hard floors and carpet. I’ve purchased several stick vacuums that stopped working after a short period of time, despite taking them apart to clean them. I’m almost terrified to buy a new vacuum at this point. submitted by /u/strawberrymilfshake7 [link] [comments]”
“The last vacuum had issues with long hairs getting wrapped around the canister in the filter. Looking for a vacuum that won’t have this issue and is easy to empty for under $300 submitted by /u/ManicEDSsummer [link] [comments]”
“I feel like I hate every vacuum we’ve ever owned. We have a Labrador retriever which is endless, ENDLESS dog hair 🫠 IYKYK. We have mostly wood floors but 5 large rugs in bedrooms and main spaces. We have a Dyson stick vacuum and I can visibly see it get SO MUCH dog hair but we’ve replaced the filter 3x and it smells like dander when we turn it on and honestly I hate it. We have a Dyson animal plug-in vacuum since 2018 that’s bulky and sucks up some of our rugs too much and has seen better days.”
“Does anyone have recommendations for a good wet vacuum? I don’t care if it’s corded or not, though I have seen some people say corded ones last longer. I have lvp floors and don’t plan on using it as part of my everyday cleaning since I have a regular mop, but just something to have for when I need a quick clean/mop especially since I have a baby that starting to eat solids. Anything not over $500 preferably the less expensive the better lol submitted by /u/Imonanallcarbdiet_ [link]”
“So I just spent hoyrs on the carpet in the bedroom! First, I vacuumed, then I used one of those hand held carpet scrappers (like in the image), then I vacuumed again and I can still see pet hair 😭 My hands are gonna be covered in blisters tomorrow, I can already feel the bits that are sore. Any vacuum recommendations that will take the hair without me needing to brush the carpets? submitted by /u/Flimsy-Tangerine5976 [link] [comments]”
“I live in a 2 bedroom old apartment with dust and creaky floors, some hardwood some carpet some area rugs. I have a dog that sheds like no other, and extreme ADHD and a busy schedule that makes keeping up with the floors a chore I have never quite grasped.. I just had a cleaning professional recommend a cheap robot vacuum for keeping up with pet hair and crumbs, and that sent me down the rabbit hole of vacuums. I currently have a giant plug in vacuum, and it’s honestly such a pain to use so I do”
“House is 80% hardwood floors 20% rugs. Most reviews for stick vacuums I see are all cordless...wondering what would be the way to go for corded cleaners. Wife just wants something highly mobile that can be used for cleaning ceiling vents and other high areas as well as the floors (of course). Thank you submitted by /u/FrabatoTheTransurfer [link] [comments]”
“I’m replacing my Tineco ifloor 3. What brand of vac mop do you like? I really want edge cleaning and a streak free clean. I had a bissell Crosswave pet pro before the tineco and it sucked with both of those things plus didn’t have self cleaning. I’m looking to spend around $200. USA submitted by /u/Ok_Confusion_525 [link] [comments]”
“I keep seeing posts about robot vacs getting stuck, falling down the stairs, or just being total junk. Do you wish you'd saved your money? Since major brands often cost anywhere from $500 to $1200, which is a pretty serious investment. And if you do think it was worth it, how much time has it actually saved you per day? per week? submitted by /u/Sea_Guidance2815 [link] [comments]”
“Currently doing research for a vacuum but having a hard time choosing what is best. My husband and I have seen a lot of posts about the weight of a vacuum or the surface to be cleaned, but our situation is a bit different. For one, the weight of the vacuum doesn’t matter as we only have one floor and it’s not nearly as big as a house. Second, we live in Asia so getting some brands might not be possible. Third, we have no carpet here but do have cats who she’d like crazy. So we’d like some help i”
“Can anyone recommend a good corded vacuum with a reasonable price? I currently have a little cheap bissel vacuum that I got a target for $35. I’m looking for a corded one because in my experience they have better suction. I have 3 dogs, one who sheds like crazy. I have laminate flooring so my current vacuum is okay with getting they dog hair off of the floor. It’s terrible with picking up anything bigger than hair or dust though and it’s definitely not getting anything out of the furniture. ”
“We currently have a cordless Shark that we bought a year ago. I thought I did all the proper research, but apparently not. It doesn’t work on any of our carpets (we switched carpets AND customer service sent us a second vac- still doesn’t work) and gets clogged with fur extremely easily. The suction is also awful- it’ll leave bits of crumbs on the carpet. I know a cordless vac will never replace a corded one. I just need a cordless that’s halfway decent as a nice convenience. Preferably under $5”
“I'm cleaning these beach front condo units, there's always sand and some of the runners are not removable. I need a vacuum that's somewhat lightweight easy to carry and really good with sand on multiple surfaces any recommendations? submitted by /u/BethanyMystic [link] [comments]”
“Bought a Bissell PowerForce Pet carpet cleaner less than 12 months ago. It was the only one in my budget that was an upright machine with an upholstery attachment and I thought it was a good brand. I have never put anything other than warm water and Bissell products into it. I've taken in back twice because it leaks. First time I was told to not put hot water into it (which I don't) and I've been told today that there has been "non-bissell products" used in the machine whic”

“I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and the act of mopping the floor is increasingly annoying. I would like to get both a big vacuum for the floors and a small handheld vacuum for the surfaces. My biggest issue is that dust settles very quickly hence why I would like an automatic cleaners. What would you suggest? submitted by /u/FunInformation2721 [link] [comments]”
“I wasn’t paying attention and let the tapers burn for too long, thus the melted wax everywhere (which by now has hardened). I was able to snap most of the big pieces of wax off, but now I’m looking for advice on how to clean the crevices and get the candle itself out. I’ve tried a fork and wasn’t able to get very far. These are handmade ceramic so they’re kind of fragile. Thank you for any advice! submitted by /u/jollyducky [link] [comments]”
“i love my dog but but i'm pretty sure he sheds enough fur every week to make another dog 😭 i've been using a cheap cordless vacuum, and it starts out fine, then the brush gets tangled every five minutes and suction drops like crazy i'm ready to upgrade to something that actually handles pet hair without turning vacuuming into a workout what cordless vacuum has genuinely impressed you? submitted by /u/Unfair_Breadfruit512 [link] [comments]”

“After cleaning kitchen cabinets with worm water and dish soap, 3 cloth metod, these lighter spots appeard, cabinets are supposed to be matt and i am afraid i have damaged the finish, but then again its weird to me that the spots are more like it was splashed with something, they weren't cleand for a few years and i am hoping there is just much grease residue and i didn't clean them enough, does anyone know what those spots are and how to get rid of them?? (btw sorry for spelling mistakes”
“My girlfriend’s cat used the dog bed(hers) as the litter box overnight. There’s no piss as far as I can tell but it got on the bed and a blanket. The cover comes off but I’m not sure how I should clean the bed cover or blanket before throwing them in the wash. “It feels like clutter has a way of returning no matter how often it's cleaned up. For those who manage to keep their homes organised, what's your approach? Do you have a simple daily habit or system that helps keep everything under control? submitted by /u/Annejane01 [link] [comments]”
“For pet hair, tbh the biggest difference is the brush head design, not just raw suction. What helped me before was switching to a cordless with an anti-tangle roller and a bin that is easy to empty every room or two. The Shark Stratos Cordless Pet Pro is the one i would look at first if hair wrap is your main enemy, while the Dyson V15 Detect is stronger if you want max pickup and do not mind the price. The Bissell CleanView XR Pet is a more budget-friendly pet-focused pick. I would skip anythin”
“We've used Dyson for years and have been very happy with them for dog hair. I think we have the V12 now. I still go through with a Kirby every couple months to get a real deep clean.”
