“I'm 2 months postpartum and the last week or so I've been feeling very distant from my husband. I don't want to be touched or kissed and I'm just annoyed with him more often than not. I don't know why I'm feeling like this, it's partially cuz I feel like I'm pulling the most…”

Several posters describe a shift in their husband's behavior during pregnancy, with some experiencing emotional distance, raised voices, and lack of intimacy. This creates feelings of isolation and concern about the relationship’s future.

I’m jealous that he’s a man and he shoves it down my throat all the time. “Oh all I had to do was have 10 mins of fun now you do the rest.” It pisses me off but it’s the truth he gets the baby, gets to be a dad, gets the whole shabang while I’m over here miserable my body mentally and physically. I don’t want to even be pregnant anymore I want to live like”

“Hey all! Currently 32 weeks pregnant- I was wondering if anyone started to get really pissed at their husbands before they even gave birth 😅? If so, what did you do to get over it/ move on? I’m starting to reach a point where my energy is drained and he has to be told to do almost anything. Ex: we have cats and I haven’t been doing the liter the entire pregnancy- I basically have to remind him DAILY to do the liter. How after 8 months can it be hard to remember? Or just any basic household chor”

“My husband and I had a pretty bad fight tonight and I’m really hurt by how it ended. I’m 37 weeks pregnant and have had a difficult pregnancy with constant nausea, low iron, trouble eating, pain and exhaustion. My dad also passed away 5 months ago after a 4 year cancer battle where my mom and I helped care for him. We were selling our house and my parents’ house, but I took them off the market 2 months before my due date because my mom is disabled and showings require a lot of help from me. Our”

“This was my post when I was pregnant. https://www.reddit.com/r/pregnant/s/DSYjJQcrGx Fast forward, we had the most beautiful baby boy but I feel sooo alone. My husband doesn’t help at night and MUST sleep with the dogs. When when he was on 2 months leave, he only stayed up 3 nights until he decided it was hard likely because I do not want the dogs in the bed with us. When he wakes up, the dogs must be a part of everything but I have been sooo annoyed about them peeing in the baby area of the hou”

“I’m pregnant with my first, and one of the things I’m most scared of is continuing to connect with my husband. I’ve heard many sad stories and we want to try to make intentional time together. What did this look like for you? Did you get a babysitter for date nights? Utilize daycare? Hang out together after baby went to bed? And when did you start making time for this again after birth? submitted by /u/Appropriate-Newt4120 [link] [comments]”

“I'm 2 months postpartum and the last week or so I've been feeling very distant from my husband. I don't want to be touched or kissed and I'm just annoyed with him more often than not. I don't know why I'm feeling like this, it's partially cuz I feel like I'm pulling the most weight with the baby but I do know that that just makes sense right now but I can't help but feel frustrated by having to hold the majority of this responsibility. Ive heard and read that”

“I might be crazy but am feeling very concerned about my husbands work plans for when I will be 39 weeks pregnant. My husband works remotely but once or twice a year they get together for a couple days to work in office and go out for dinner/drinks as a team. They usually meet up at an office that is about 2-3 hours away from our home depending on traffic. After work, they get dinner and drinks further out. I’d guesstimate about 3 hours for him to get back assuming it’s typical downtown traffic.”

“This is an insanely vulnerable post so please be kind lol, I’m sensitive. My husband and I have been together for 5 years, married for 1.5. We both knew from the start that we wanted kids and neither of us have ever wavered from that. A few years ago we did terminate a pregnancy because of our financial and living situation. It broke our hearts but it was the right decision. We planned to try as of our anniversary this year (May). We dragged our feet a little but I think that was the general ”we”

“I’m 17 weeks pregnant and am feeling sooooo annoyed by my husband. Just being around him and trying to have a conversation is getting under my skin. This man has gone above and beyond to make this pregnancy comfortable for me. He encouraged me to quit a job I was miserable in, takes anything and everything off my plate so I can rest, and I still am just so frustrated by him. It’s all kind of come to a head this week. He went on a bachelor party this past weekend and drank too much/stayed up too”

“Hi all I (F30) am pregnant with my first child. My boyfriend (M30) and I are super exited about it and talk about daily (week 20). Both of our libido were high pre-pregnancy, with mine now changing through the weeks. As my belly gets bigger, my boyfriend is sometimes having difficulties completing the act. We talk about it and he says it is not because he doesn’t find me attractive, but he is afraid something will happen to the baby and he can’t really get away from the thought of it “happening”

“Not gonna lie I was very happy with the pregnancy and all of a sudden I had a bad dream that I woke up to crying and suddenly I am super depressed and crying all the time. I feel like I am sad that I am pregnant and that I'm having a child. What is this hormonal nonsense lol? Meanwhile my baby is dancing more than ever in my belly while I'm balling my eyes out. 🤣 submitted by /u/PlastiqueSis [link] [comments]”

“He was so excited when I told him we finally are pregnant. At first he was trying to do whatever he could to help with my cravings. But I’ve been getting hormonal and have had a feeling that he must be attracted to someone else because of how cold he has been to me the past week. He doesn’t initiate intimacy with me, if I get upset from my hormones he just raises his voice at me and leaves me alone. I feel like this ruined our relationship when I thought we were so in love and soul mates. We wer”

“I'm 22 weeks and I swear I've turned into a completely different person. Yesterday I spent ten minutes looking for my phone while I was actively holding it. Today I put the milk in the pantry and the cereal box in the fridge. My coworker asked me a simple question during a meeting and I just stared at her like she was speaking another language. I've heard about pregnancy brain but I thought it was exaggerated or maybe just forgetting little things here and there. This feels like my e”
