“Youtube is now requiring me to prove I'm older than 18 to access certain videos and keep control of my account. I've tried uploading an ID and using my credit card but for some reason neither of them are working. This change is incredibly stupid. “Call your bank to reverse the charge (explain that YouTube is not willing to / denied resolving their system issue that is affecting your account) and switch everyone from the app to a tab browser that blocks ads. “Will edit if they ever get in touch with me, but the phone number on their site doesn't work, nor does the chat feature, and they have not responded to any of my emails. I can't even reset the password for our account - it makes me go through a captcha and then dies. Has anyone had luck getting in touch with them? “Training and removing the warning are two different things. Training just keeps it from becoming a strike, it doesn't wipe the warning. Appeal denied means it stays until it expires, usually 90 days. Just wait it out and features should open after.”

“My account had an age lockout issue but then I used a driver’s license to verify that I am exactly above 16 in Australia, but my account keeps showing up as “error fetching channel list for account”?? It should let me back in immediately. Updating my birthday in my Google account settings does nothing, it still asks me to verify my age when I already did. “This is an update from the age verification error I had with youtube. After DAYS AND DAYS OF HESITATING I DECIDED TO FINALLY EMAIL THEM. I’ll use my own number for the Google account — I only need another genuine number for YouTube verification to unlock custom thumbnails. “Yesterday I got a popup out of nowhere asking for me to verify my age, and the only two options I had were to give out an ID (which I don’t have) and to take a selfie (which I tried but of course it didn’t work). I literally have no idea why I got it in the first place. I live in Australia and the law specifically says the age verification thing isn’t enabled for users 16> so you can perfectly guess I’m somewhere around that age, but now I have to use my second account until this issue someho”

“try switching between sms and voice call. and make sure your numbers starts with the ocuntry code (e.g.j +1). clear your browser cache, use an incognito window, or try using mobile data instead of wifi. if it still fails, use a different carrier's phone numeber, as your operator may be blocking short code sms.”
